so many people here that, judging by the way they express themselves, are well within the adult spectrum. Loosely defined or otherwise

    and what do they do?

    - they equate pointless, boring, absolutely non imaginative with "hard"
    - they then move on to use said false assumption as the basis for further "conclusions" and self indulging stances

i urge you to reconsider. In many aspects..way, way beyond and outside ESO related ones

I never equated non-imaginative with hard, and I don't mind putting the effort in, but with enchanting I was putting the effort in and still getting nowhere.

The mistake people defending the old system are making is that because they had friends who could help them, they assume it was that easy for others.

I grabbed every red rune (Ta, Kuta, Rekuta, Jejota, and Denata) I could find, but I could (and did) search for hours and get nowhere. And when I did get them, the XP was so small that I was making no progress. Now it's still a pathetically small amount, but I can see some progress and I live in hope of eventually getting to the point where I can craft Glyphs for the level my characters are actually at.

Not sure what to say i leveled my main in a little over a month with no friends help. all i did was when i saw a deal on either GOOD glyphs or runes. i judged how good they are by how much inspiration i estimated i would get. White Runes can be better if priced low and they are VR level. Again do a search on how to level enchanting, its not hard to do. (includes whites if priced low and high level).

For me, Prov. and Alch. are leveling super slow. In neither area do i know decent market prices, so i only level em with find/collect. Unless my Prov alt is playing , Most prov supplies i ignore because they clutter my inv. My main does everything but those crafts .... i will admit i have NOT given those any focus or attention tho, so i am probably leveling them in an inefficient manner. On the other hand i really don't need those skills. I all ways find health and magicka pots.... and someone once made 200 foods that boost health & mag. i have seen higher level foods but we are talking maybe 50 point mag and health which isnt going to make or break my toon. I guess my point is i think they level slow but I would NOT complain they level too low because i have put so little effort into leveling them.

Leveling enchanting has never been as easy as the other crafts. I got to provisioning level 50 and alchemy level 50 in a single day.
I agree. Provisioning and Alchemy are far too easy, Blacksmithing, Clothing and Woodworking are just right, and Enchanting was far too hard.

I reached level 50 in all crafting skills over a month ago, but I definitely spent far too much time and money on levelling Enchanting.

What I'd like to see next is for Provisioning and Alchemy to be rebalanced so that you can't get to level 50 in 2 hours using only tier 1 recipes (level 1-15, iirc) and tier 1 solvents (level 3 and 10).
I haven't found alchemy to be an issue - although you might be right about that; but yea Provisioning should have been fixed last spring. I accidently levelled provisioning just by cleaning up my inventory and selling the product; then I found out it was useful.

It is utterly ridiculous to suggest Provisioning and Alchemy are as difficult to level as Enchanting. I leveled provisioning on multiple characters to 50. It takes almost no effort. Once I had several recipes in each category it took a couple hours of concerted effort to loot everything and the kitchen sink from a couple Inns and caves, took some mats from guild banks and then producing everything I could make from them. This is repeatable and painfully, obviously easier than the rest.

Alchemy was slightly more difficult but not so much. You don't need to find recipes, just ingredients. Once again, with a couple contributions from the guild bank, a fist full of coin and a concerted effort for a couple hours a day for two to three days...done.

    Now enchanting.... Buahhahhahahahaha..right.
    1. One glyphs don't stack so no matter how you slice it there's almost always fewer in inventory.
    2. XP gained from deconstruction is pathetic in comparison to the rest. Maybe 1/20.
    3. Availability of glyphs and or materials that matter...maybe 1/10 of the others.
    4. Purchasing materials will break the bank...over and over and over again.
    5. Even with a tons of cash, a concerted effort, system AND teamwork among friends and guild mates, leveling enchanting will take FOR F'ing EVER. Weeks if you are lucky.

Enchanting isn't even on the same planet, much less the ballpark, compared to the other crafting skills. Don't even try to make the comparison they are even remotely equivalent.

I made max level Alchemy in 2 hours of crafting. Granted I had a decent supply of mats, which was easy to get. I maxed provisioning in 6 hours but that was back when I didn't know the game mechanics well at all, nor did I have a good supply of materials.

This game was screwed up before it ever launched. I play for the fun of questing more than anything, but challenge? There never was much of a challenge.

I used to sell extra kuta's at 5 kuta's for 10000g to 13000g. Thats about 2500 a kuta. Most where listing at around 3000 a Kuta. Now, since they extract for so much more and delivarys are rare with 1.4 i am at least doubling the price if i sell them at all.

Before 1.4 i priced everything low so i could sell it quick. Now i am rethinking this and not selling anything unless i have 100's or i get insane profits because i no confidence ZOS will not completely change there value.

Ironically, there is no great benefit beyond 40 other than perhaps a passive or two.

At 40, you can make max level glyphs. 50 is just the masochism of saying "I get that I now have frostbite over 80% of my body anyway, may as well climb to the summit and get my ticket stamped."

Unless you consider the dye worth the reward.

Most people stop extracting others' glyphs - there is no longer the level of benefit (or at least the need for it) that there was prior. This basically means your +15%(?) extraction passives won't ever net you anything beyond a Ta...and we know how rare those are.

(Yes, I know you get a chance at the other runes, but you get my point.)
Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...

    Earn it.

This crafting profession skill line was out of balance with the rest. I wouldn't care if it took months to raise a single level, as long as other crafting professions leveled at the same pace. Enchanters just wanted to see fairness in this respect. Even if the levelling was out of synch with others perhaps there could have been some other payback that would have made enchanting worth the effort? Not looking for easy, just balance.

Regardless, I'm happy with the changes as it now stands. Enchanters can now level at a reasonable pace that will keep up with character levelling so they can actually make use of the glyphs they produce. Happy enchanting!
