Projectiles still breaking NB Cloak - 1.4.4

In PvP, projectiles are still breaking cloak.

Some test cases for you folks at Zenimax:

Players casting crystal shards. I suppose you can call them monsters.

In addition, something I noticed that is still not working is when an NPC causes you to bleed it is not removing the DoT and it's even breaking your stealth.

Sorc overload light attack.

Another update, the ability Structured Entropy is being reflected by cloak causing DoT on the enemy and healing me although I was the target of the attack. I don't use structured entropy and I don't use any spell reflects as a nightblade.

Swallow Soul is also breaking cloak when missed.

@ZOS_GinaBruno‌ I will update the original post with this info or anything else I find that isn't working.

    they didn't say they fixed it, from what I could tell. They said they fixed the ones missing knocking you out of cloak.

    Or was that the problem and I was just confused?

    Maybe they just didn't read half the thread (very likely, they stopped commenting after making an erroneous assumption about what the total of the problem was.)

    Just happened to me as well. Was fighting those little bug thingies in Stonefall and wen they cast their ranged attack (I believe it is a channel attack by could be wrong) my cloak didn't work at all.

    I just took on a flesh atronach and cloak failed twice in melee ranged to it when it looked like it was attacking with melee. No idea why it failed ... twice.

    As far as I can tell cloak is still broken ... as usual. Not sure why I got my hopes up.

    Edit: /Sigh. Now I see the kicked from client bug is happening again. Could just be add-ons since patch but had it working fine yesterday.

    Can ZOS confirm that there Developers in charge of NB actually have English as a first Language as it would appear they did not understand any of the Posts on this topic.

    Just to confirm if something is channeling or an animation is still running when you enter Cloak you are in fact still visible for that persons attack.

    I think DoTs are the problem now. I could be wrong. but it seems only 1 DoT is being removed. Could some on do some DoT testing?

    The problem that was reported (from what I recall reading) was that cloak was breaking when a projectile was in route and hit.

    See what they did there, they fixed it when it missed when the noted problem was cloak breaking when it hit :p

    Honestly not sure if this is correct or incorrect. Really I haven't been on my cloaking NB in about a month since the detection radius wasn't working right, dots ticking on the enemy broke cloak, and cloaking itself while in combat was a toss up if it would work or not.

    Fair enough, you got me. I really like the game and keep hoping Zeni will get its act together as far as QA and game balancing. I guess it may be time to either accept it (stop being surprised/frustrated) for what it is an play on or find a game that does not have such huge project management issues.

    It just makes me sad. ESO has such potential.

    I'm not actually literate, unfortunately. I just like looking at the squigglies on the screen and the pretty colors. Mostly I just bash my fingers against the keyboard and push the pretty button on the bottom right. Like now.

    If you're affected by velocious curse then you can't stealth period. This update actually further ruined the cloak.

    NB's being able to stealth spam 5 feet away from someone else is probably the silliest survivability fix I have ever seen in an mmo. Stealth should not work that way. You should be forced to fight just like everyone else (ie pick your risk appropriately). In return, nb's should have a damage shield added and be more survivable like the other classes.

    Cloak was breaking with a miss or a hit. Usually when a NB cloaked enemy would lose target and so not be able to cast (was broken people still cast anyway after losing sight of NB for some spells like Charge) or a projectile in transit would miss the NB giving no damage. This projectile miss was breaking stealth despite the NB taking no damage. I think this is what they "fixed." Nothing said about being able to hit a NB after they cloaked. Perhaps that will be on the next Hotfix. :fearful:

    Crouch = stealth.

    Invisibility isn't stealth ... it is invisibility.

    I fully agree that is shouldn't stop everything in game from hurting you. I am ok with standing in aoe puddles that it should break but what invisibility is suppose to do is stop direct attacks from coming at you. As it stands it fails to do this on many occasions and is still does not work as intended. It never has worked as intended.

    I don't see that you should stay in stealth after being hit by a projectile. That makes no sense. Immediately after the projectile hits? Sure.

    Actually it does...

    Stealth should not be able to be spammed. It's silly. One of the dumbest implementations of the stealth ability I have seen in an mmo. Not only does it harm the NB using it since its implementation just begs for continual bugs (see how it works now, I know you can grasp that), it also makes fighting an NB silly.

    You should pop out of stealth and not be able to use it again while in combat. In return, your survivability should be enhanced through other means.

    We just tested the fix to Shadow Cloak and it appears to be working properly. There was an issue where projectiles that missed you were breaking you out of stealth, but this is no longer happening.

    We just tested the fix to Shadow Cloak and it appears to be working properly. There was an issue where projectiles that missed you were breaking you out of stealth, but this is no longer happening.

    It is still happening. I've been testing it all morning since the server has been up.

    And honestly, after seeing how well this last patch was "Tested" on PTS or in-house I don't believe it one bit. Once it's fixed on the live server then I will be convinced.
