My guess is they're using a .NET based HTTP wrapper to talk to their servers in which case your IE browser settings could impact that functionality.oldskool2485 wrote: »Forgive my ignorance, but how would disabling GPU acceleration in a web browser help ESO?
Must just be you, I've already posted in some of these threads - as have others with Radeons- that my R9-270 doesn't save me from the random lag that happens while alone or standing still while stuck on a hole, or getting ambushed while stuck in a lagbubble.Martinus72 wrote: »Is it me or all of these problems have occurred on Nvidia cards? Oh really? I am a developer...global_gbb16_ESO wrote: »That is the biggest load of rubbish I have ever read. If you had done any sort of research on the subject, you would know that ESO uses a HTTP based protocol to exchange data between the game client and the servers. And problems with the GPU hardware acceleration settings *can* cause additional client/server lag in the underlying driver.
I would suggest that next time you feel like spouting "rubbish" you might want to eduficatefy yourself beforehand.
I did notice one thing, in addition to all the stuttering I've seen that no setting even begins to touch (I've tried them all), and that is since I updated to the newest Nvidia driver, the Nvidia game profile for ESO has disappeared. Is this related? I haven't a clue, but Enquiring Minds Want To Know(TM). And yes, I've asked on the Nvidia forums.
My friend has been testing his issues with this problem and it seems directly tied to using his standard (he's a DK). He also tested with several other friends with DKs and noticed a huge drop in FPS when they dropped standards.

It only matters if you have your browser still open in the background while running ESO. I never have other programs running anyway while playing ESO so the stutter is definitely isolated to the game itself.
Same here - activating Standard of Might is one cause of the stutter I am experiencing. My friend has been testing his issues with this problem and it seems directly tied to using his standard (he's a DK).
