Heavy Armor Durability Loss and Armor Reduction in General

Curious if this has been brought up before, but I believe durability can reduce heavy armor to 0 points.

In the grand scheme of things, this means that heavy armor suffers a lot more than light/med, and also medium more than light.

Shouldn't there be a threshold of say 50% or at least 20% remaining effectiveness at 0 durability? (You could slap this on an existing passive or something.) Not sure if there's a difference in durability between the three types, but heavy still suffers the most from not repairing.

I might be missing something, so feel free to correct me, but don't attack me please.

I haven't paid much attention to this since I was level 5, but I seem to remember that durability scales with AC. Light armour will wear out faster than medium, medium faster than heavy, given the same amount of damage taken.
