Still have paid time. I quit after first month but was for real life ***. Loved the game. Was one of first vampires in early access. I plan on waiting for console launch in April 2015 or june most likely. I want to play ESO on my 80 inch TV,haha

I didn't read the thread, so forgive me if this advice has been tried already:

-Defrag your hard drive (Unless using an SSD, in which case make sure there's some free space on it).
-Lower game settings to absolute bare minimum including subsampling to "low" (quarter-resolution) and shadows off.
-Try a proxy or VPN to see if it impacts the connection and lets the objects load more promptly.
-Change driver versions, and make sure your system is on stock clock speeds.
-Try a secondary Windows installation (try 7 if on 8.1, or vice versa).

All of these but the last should impact your framerate positively, and alter the game parameters enough that you might be able to get the quest completed. Best of luck! :)

I'm already running at the lowest settings, and have all drivers as new as I can find them. Don't have the possibility of a second Windows install, I'm afraid (got 7 as standard, I _do_ have an old XP license floating around somewhere, but I've heard bad things about the combination ESO + XP...)

I think people are talking about Archeage, right?

Yeah... I play ESO while sitting in Queue in Archeage. When I finally get to login, I usually just let it roll back to the Queue again.

    Welcome to QueueAge.

LOL love how these posts always show up after big patches. I wish I could find out the kind of work this kind of person does for a living. For one thing it can't be anywhere close to the coding field.

Play MMORPG's? Get use to patches that go BOOM!

    Oh PLEASE.

Decent QA and/or actaully listening to them would resolve most of these issues like... you know... crafting not working properly for anyone after a patch, Nightblade cloak being fixed but actually broken again.

The game is great but the "omg codinz is r teh hard" just doesn't cut it with me anymore, people like you are why the games industry produces such a mess. Games companies just let QA slide because gamers like you let them get away with it with excuses like, "it's hard".

Also to answer your point, I code and work with code.

I love the game so much, but I'm just completely bored. I have a VR8 sorc and a VR6 Templar and can't bring myself to play them much. Currently doing mainly solo quests which is what I like, but that's gotten boring, especially seeing how empty the VR zones are and how I can't solo (same level) dolmens anymore due to them changing how you could pull them, but cannot find anyone to group with to take them down.

Grouping is ok, it's just hard to find a good group. Either you get a zerg group that just decimates the dungeon which is no fun, or you get people who mainly solo and don't know how to group or how group dynamics work.

PVP, well I'm not into PVP but the few times I've tried it, it was quite boring. But in all fairness if that's your cup of tea then great, I'm just not a PVP guy.

So here I am facing VR14, with all group content after VR10. I'm already familiar with the craglorn grind groups and have done it a few times, not my cup of tea but better than sitting doing solo quests for weeks.

I really really love the game, I just really am finding very little if any reason to log on.

I wonder why people would quit the game and still hang out on the forums... that would seem to imply they may very well come back in the future, given certain conditions either in or out of the game are met, so it's hard to get a true sense of who has actually left by polling on the ESO forum.

I'll play until I'm done with the main storyline for the factions, and then probably move on to something else. The PvP alone wouldn't keep me, and I'm not a competitive group player for PvE content.

Staying, as much I as it is painful for me to watch em play catch up to the game release problems since the release of the new patch I am having more fun then I though I would be after my break.

Absolutely. I don't really play anymore in my last month, but I do pay attention to the updates/patches and browse the forums every so often. I still *want* to play, I just have no compelling "fun" reason to do so.

If they fix stealth range, stealth speed and so on then I stay but if not then 1.4.3 could have been the one that finally killed my enjoyment of this game.

Been here since early access and have 3 v12 chars. I eventually started to enjoy the game more when I re-specced to resto NB and now that's knackered.
I have posted on this forum for the last 5 weeks about the blob AoE situation and haven't got a single answer . I will be unsubbing soon as its seems to me as ZoS only care about PvE and ignore major problems in PvP.

I posted on the 11th Sept about the cloak fix not being tested on the PTS and being put straight to live and here we are again, another 2 weeks of will it be fixed or wont it in the middle of a 30 day campaign now ruined for me because I cant play on the NB. The worst thing is that I cant see an end to this cycle as they are not learning from their own mistakes.
I can put up with class unbalance and bugs for the time being but the blob AoE is a game breaker for me so I will probably be going back to "old faithful" in a few weeks when my sub runs out. Such a shame :(

I so much WANT to continue with this game. However, I am completely unable to login anymore... which kind of makes paying a $15 a month sub pointless. If that gets fixed, then I will carry on playing for ages. If not, I'm done.... not through a lack of interest in the game, but because I'm forced to try something else.

I love the game, despite the fact my highest level character is only VR2, and I'm staying subbed. I couldn't care less about Craglorn at this moment... What is giving me a bit of a problem is, as a guildie would put it, the new area of Upper Buglorn, that's stopping my progress ath the moment...

    Not sure at this point.

Update 4 was, for me, a big nothing which messed up all my settings, which because settings are not global, I now have to fix for 5 characters. No solo content for folks like me who have the day to themselves and whose mates are all at work. Singularly underwhelming.

We still don't have the loyalty pet (whether or not it's wanted) and 'soon' doesn't cut it for me as far as these new mounts are concerned.

Been playing Skyrim again, as that DOES allow me to play how I want and I can mod the hell out of it! I can have a new mount/pet/whatever RIGHT NOW as I can make my own!
Replace Skyrim with Oblivion and this is exactly how I feel.

I think I'll be taking another break. My sub runs out in 3 days, I have some personal stuff coming up so I'll have less time to play, it's a good moment to leave. I'll be back: I still have alts to level up and I'm interested in future updates, but right now I don't think I can justify paying the sub. Besides, stealth will stay broken for a week, so I can't even play the characters I wanted.

Wasteland 2 comes out tomorrow too, another thing to eat my time.

I was pretty sure the overwhelming answers would be in the positive. The free play is long over, the game quality has improved dramatically since launch and most everyone still playing is here for the long run.
Brunhilda Icehammer - Nord Dragonknight, 'Smith & Enchantress 'What is 'ranged? I need to hit something!!'
Laehl Direthorn - Bosmer Nightblade, Purveyor of fine Clothes, Bows and Staves
Reeza gra-Zuni - Orc Templar 'War Shaman' and Apothecary
Noemi Snowpaw - Kajiit Dragon Knight - I laugh... or I'd have to kill you.
Kitera Dreamon - Breton of The Dominion: Because those Daggers don't appreciate a great Mage.
Lysara Shadowcroft - Dunmer Bloodmage: This will only hurt a lot.

Well posisbly Imperial city will come with 1.6 in December.

After that they've got Champ system, justice system, spellcrafting in that order.
It's likely all of it will be out by Quakecon next year including the theives guild/ Dark brotherhood.

Oh, no, will stay. If it fries, it'll be the 3rd time I've seen a mmo sink. Not counting The Realm, lol.

But somebody at Z needs to play FE for a minute and steal some ideas to incorporate into ESO. We can't drive cars, this is not the apocalypse, we don't shoot guns even crossbows. But things like a vip bank, craftable inventory expansion, pet garage, COD selector for ingame mail, craftable tent bundles.
Put some of that in the next Road Ahead.
