I still play the game and will continue playing it. Especially, as
    • Imperial city
    • spell weaving
    • champion system and
    • justice system
are planned for 2014. These are ambitious plans and I hope they can stick to them.

Nothing wrong with my NB. Don't use Nights Silence, waste of a 5 piece bonus. Don't use concealed weapon, armour debuff of other morph is more useful.

Seems a lot to look forward to, plenty for me to be doing till then, I love it.

ZOS really need to increase the polish and implement some quality of life features that should be standard in any game these days. I'm not unsubbing, but I can see why others are getting fed up

    Not sure at this point.

Update 4 was, for me, a big nothing which messed up all my settings, which because settings are not global, I now have to fix for 5 characters. No solo content for folks like me who have the day to themselves and whose mates are all at work. Singularly underwhelming.

We still don't have the loyalty pet (whether or not it's wanted) and 'soon' doesn't cut it for me as far as these new mounts are concerned.

Been playing Skyrim again, as that DOES allow me to play how I want and I can mod the hell out of it! I can have a new mount/pet/whatever RIGHT NOW as I can make my own!

even before the patch, which I was looking forward to, I was just getting kinda bored, doing the same actions over and over. It's a pretty game, but even that is a pain now because you have to hunt down a way to get the textures back to detailed (they screwed that up a patch or two ago). It's a fun game, but it's so tedious to not only patiently wait for fixes to longstanding issues but add the frustration of new breakage when a patch is introduced.

Anyway, the combination just kinda tilts the table enough that I'm sliding off.

You want to keep me at this point, fix pvp (as in get the opportunists off our backs) or give me housing.

That said, i'll probably resub next month anyway, because it's less money than I pay for dinner out and I might just want to go around and enjoy the NPC dialog or something.

Had I not just bought a 6 month sub, I'd probably have left over this patch. Reason being that my only char, the NB, is pretty screwed right now. That's not to say I'd never come back, but I'd be wary of the way this game is managed; i.e. without any real care of focus and I'd be reading the forums to check if the game was improving before I committed to another sub.

As it is, I have 5 months to run so I'll just have to see what occurs and make a decision at the end of that period.

But I'd probably never buy another 6 months sub for ESO, ZOS just don't seem capable of managing the game effectively, and I am not just talking about bugs etc. They just are a weak outfit in terms of customer services, comms etc, you know, all the stuff that my sub allegedly pays for!

Staying, there is nothing else out there for me, I looked at Archage f2p strike one for me, and 2001 called and wants it's game back...LOL but thats just for me I am sure it will have it's fans and be a great game for them.

I find what I need in my online game here in ESO, as a long time mmo player I like what they offer, the game is not perfect but no online game is. Looking forward to see how this new game grows over time.

I am not sure at this what i will do.... .there are so many things my char and alts need to do but i can barely get my self to login to get hireling mail....... if in a month i am hardly playing i will start plans to leave. I will find a good single player game & never get another bethesdia product unless reveiws are outstanding and it has been out months with no complaints....

i just feel like my ESO adventure has been complete waste of time. All releases are buggy, grouping is more work than just soling content, only one release 1.3 offered anything new i wanted and most releases change something to make my playing experience worse.... there are no plans in the immediate future to offer either some sort PVP for a beginner or any new solo or RP content.

Prev TES titles held my atten for a year and half to 3 years & i often bought multiple copies for friends and family, i have burnt out on ESO in 6 months. Most of this is due to poor releases and poor efforts at balance and continuous nerfs. (stam/magicka are still unbalanced - yet they continue to over apply the nerf bat to things unrelated in what appears to be a random manner).

    1. The land area is massive.
    2. The 1000's of quests are engaging and often amusing (when not bugged).
    3. The Graphics is exceptional for an MMO (when not bugged).
    4. The animal and vegetation variety and animations is excellent (when not bugged).
    5. The soundtrack and sound effects for the most part are excellent (when not bugged).
    6. The basic combat is engaging (when not bugged).
    7. The combat balance is just one humongous *** up with little rhyme or reason to it (bugs just makes it intolerable).
    8. The crafting I find immensely enjoyable (when not bugged)
    9. Restricted content should not exist at any point for any reason (even if the rewards are less).

As you can see, my main issues are with the never ending stream of bugs which seem to be in mating season, locking out content and combat balance. The combat balance being so hysterically atrocious I would gut the system and burn it with fire. Its literally like people threw ideas into a pot and just went with what came out, without any thought to balance at all.

The rest of the good stuff keeps me subbed though. I like wondering around Tamriel and exploring the sites and wonders. Good thing too I guess. Its the only thing keeping me here. But if I now have to group to do that.....the writing is on the wall.

It's not a matter of crying, it's a matter of whether one feels they are getting their money's worth. As paying customers, we are entitled to some quality and variety in the game.

As far as it pertains to me, Update 4 just didn't deliver ANYTHING of use to me at all, but brought with it quite a lot of ball-ache to put back how it was (settings, etc).

Nope, no one can have my stuff. They will be buried in the dead accounts cemetery with my character.

The way I want to play and the way you have to play (to be wanted/useful/competitive in pvp or pve dungeons and group content) are not compatible and it doesn't seem that they ever will be.

Hopefully those who'll stay continue to have fun.

I'm staying subscribed, but I'll admit the myriad quality of life issues are very much starting to chaff such as lack of third-person camera options/settings, the extremely lacking user interface (some of that is taken up by addons but some can't be done even with them such as actual buff/debuff tracking, a real combat log telling you what hit your own character without having to die, and nameplate options, let alone a proper minimap without lots of glitches and pin and/or performance issues (all due respect to the authors, as it isn't your fault but the API's)).

I can stomach waiting a little for the imperial city, and general gameplay fixes/balance changes. I've done that dance before with MMORPG's for 15+ years as far back as EverQuest 1 at its launch. I can even stomach performance issues and glitches, while they're worked on. Heck, I can even bear leveling annoyances or quest bugs that require re-trying a quest, since I can work around those.

What I cannot stomach is lacking essential and industry-standard functionality as commonplace as brakes in a car, and being told it's being left out "for my own good" as even being an optional component, with no confirmation of work underway to fix them. It's much easier to wait for something when you know it's coming, rather than not even knowing it ever is intended to actually be.

    As examples...
-Why can't I search my inventory?
-Optionally see people's names and guilds overhead? (a feature removed in beta)
-Have a minimap on my screen (not yours, just mine)? (another one stripped from the game for no apparent reason)
-Why can I not be allowed to see what debuffs have been cast on my OWN character?
-What is wrong with having multiple quests in my tracker instead of having to tediously cycle through repeatedly with a hotkey, and often overshoot and have to repeat the endeavor? (another removed beta feature)
-Or what abilities have hit ME other than if I die and use a lumped-together "death recap" that only lists the last 5 hits?
-Why can I not just use a text search in guild stores?
    -Or reply to a mail?
-Or target a friendly in a similar fashion to a tab target now?
-Or have a chat tab with a combat log on my chatbox? (yep, this used to be in too! and a million times better than the hokey "death recap")
-Why was the ability to prioritize heals on yourself even removed (this gets you killed when your Breath of Life decides to hit some random person instead of yourself at low health when you yourself are casting the spell, for example) (guess what? another beta feature removed)
-Filter by category in my bags?
-See an icon view or a more compact list view optionally for my bags?
    -Amongst other problems...

I don't mind normal MMO problems. I do mind having a half-finished set of basic gameplay functions.

I didn't read the thread, so forgive me if this advice has been tried already:

-Defrag your hard drive (Unless using an SSD, in which case make sure there's some free space on it).
-Lower game settings to absolute bare minimum including subsampling to "low" (quarter-resolution) and shadows off.
-Try a proxy or VPN to see if it impacts the connection and lets the objects load more promptly.
-Change driver versions, and make sure your system is on stock clock speeds.
-Try a secondary Windows installation (try 7 if on 8.1, or vice versa).

All of these but the last should impact your framerate positively, and alter the game parameters enough that you might be able to get the quest completed. Best of luck! :)

Paid for 6months,leaving after that I think.

Getting tired of the NB slaps in the face, and seeing messages in pvp ( Blocked, Absorbed, Blocked, Absorbed).......

What got to me, was losing the Nights Silence buff as a NB/Vamp.

It was a vanity ability, did no harm to anyone.

I guess ZEN, does not play NB, they probably all DK, and Sorc.

I'm a NB and this update has been a royal pain because of all the stealth issues and on top of that the game crashes a lot in Cyrodiil. I had the memory leak problem after 1.3 and constant connection problems since then.

But I still have a lot to do in the game. I haven't touched Craglorn and I'd like to do an RP character in the future. Also, I'm still having a lot of fun in PvP even with all of the latest bugs. All that and the promise of future content, especially the thief and assassin guilds, will hold me in this game for quite some time.

I will continue to sub until the game is no longer fun to play. Whatever that means. A change could do it (hasn't yet) or something else. I didn't have any VR12s so I'm not sure if I had have them and the level increase hit if it'd be enough to make me unsub.

But I will say that if I created legendary items at max level and this hit I'd be very annoyed. That could do it.

I'm still having fun. When I got a little irritated by VR stuff I just started spending more time on crafting and created new characters with different classes to play to change it up. I think it helps a lot that I enjoy the storylines and taking my time through the content.

There's a lot that still needs to be done to improve the game and all the balancing/ unbalancing issues get frustrating to be sure. I may have a completely different answer to this question in a few more months.

Your mileage will vary, but for me:
