I'm a Shieldcerer. It's funny that you don't hate on DK for shield stacking when they have basically the same exact class shield as a Sorc, but do not use it as often because they don't need to. Heals + Resource management is more powerful than shield stacking.
How is anyone complaining about one of the only widespread mechanics in the game right now that increases the Time to Kill factor? OH YEAH, that's right! Because one class can't use it, which is the NB..... So give NB a shield and all is well in the world, like I said.
They already have when they nerfed streak because of light armor abuse, making it close to useless on my play style of choice which was 2h/bow medium armor Sorc.You earned the 500 LOLs badge.

I was actually hoping this wasn't going to be yet another PvP game where sustain builds > all. Yes, NB's need a class-based shield, but the bigger issue is how survivable some builds are in PvP. It is only going to get worse as gear/levels/hp grows.

I don't know if I can agree with you. Time To Kill is an important factor in any game with PVP, and the TTK is ESO is pretty darn low. Without shields running, with 3k HP, I can die in less than a second to a NB. It is a bit more than a second to the NB, but Lethal Arrow has some travel time to it so that I see all the dmg at once.You earned the 500 LOLs badge.

You're right. I've never played another class. What I have done however is played a Sorc in PVP longer than all but a handful of players out there and I know it very well.
No Sorc can bolt escape 20 times or even remotely close to that. I can Bolt Escape for half of that and there isn't a non-emperor sorc in the game who can do it more than me. My crystal frags in full legendary gear hit for 749.

There was point here (1:17) were BE was cast 17 times, while casting other spells.

I could cast Bolt escape far more than 20 times if I were to wait 4 seconds between each cast. Any class could cast ANY spell every 4 seconds an infinite number of times. What's your point?
If I cast Bolt Escape as fast as I can press the key I get 9 of them, 10 if I'm lagging some and had an extra regen tick in.

Whether you play the Nightblade as a rogue or not, the NBs thing is stealth and shadow and the major issue I see is that the only real thing differentiating NB stealth from other classes stealthing is Dark Cloak/Shadowy disguise. maybe we'll get some more stealth skills with the Thieve's Guild and Dark Brotherhood lines but those will also be open to all classes as well.
Add to this the fact that Templars and DKs can simply mitigate or heal out of a rough fight and Sorcerers can lelboltescape!1 away, while NBs get an invisibility spell that is immediately broken by Mage Light, which is essentially a standard in PvP; NBs definitely need something, I'd prefer more sneaky options and wouldn't likely use a shield myself.
Edit: To add, this was also a major selling point for me with Night's Silence/Dark Stalker: the ability to actively avoid fights that others could just as easily escape.Edited by eNumbra on September 18, 2014 3:28PM3 -

For NB essential skills are broken and all to disadvantage to the NB. Especially Shadow Cloak. And fear in which block persists...useless lol. Medium armor doesnt really give advantages to light and heavy for sneaking. Either the passives are bugged or it doesnt work as intended. In addition mage light is insanely strong compared to armor passives and light armor with sharpening on weapon with bugged calculation negates all spell resist. These bugs and inbalances are in since release and nobody cares for it.
If all NB abilities would work I would say NB is ok although things are there like undefeatable DKs, overlight speed sorc, instant heal templars stand there with 5% health blocking stacking shields and regenerate their health to 100% in an instant without anything you could do against and do more dps with aoe skills than you single target. I could counter it with ambush, shadow cloak and fear. But its all broken. As NB you have the choice between killing in 2 secs or die and use heavy armor + shield and stand there blocking and spam funnel health which is bugged as well...lol what an assassin stand there and 360° block with heavy armor. Already everybody else stands there and block. Even I stand there and block and even with my glass cannon NB I can kill 3 ppl in a row if they dont. AND THIS REALLY SUCKS!!! Its not the fix of sneak speed stacking, nothing works fine for NB class but at least the sneak speed was fun.
I mean its fine they fixed it but this wasnt game breaking campared to the endless list of other crap which is still ingame since release.7
