You're right. I've never played another class. What I have done however is played a Sorc in PVP longer than all but a handful of players out there and I know it very well.
No Sorc can bolt escape 20 times or even remotely close to that. I can Bolt Escape for half of that and there isn't a non-emperor sorc in the game who can do it more than me. My crystal frags in full legendary gear hit for 749.
If you want to present an argument, use facts, not garbage.
There was point here (1:17) were BE was cast 17 times, while casting other spells.
I rest my case.
He did use potions as well I will not ignore the facts but it is excessive and exchanging an unused stat for massive amounts of health and Magicka is kind of op..
Luvsfuzzybunnies wrote: »ezareth_ESO wrote: »Yeah with two potions, magicka return from harness magicka and over a minute of time with magicka return.
I could cast Bolt escape far more than 20 times if I were to wait 4 seconds between each cast. Any class could cast ANY spell every 4 seconds an infinite number of times. What's your point?
If I cast Bolt Escape as fast as I can press the key I get 9 of them, 10 if I'm lagging some and had an extra regen tick in.
I don't even know why I'm debating your absurd charges anyways.
I disagree show me a nb who can cast cloak every 4 second infinitely and we can talk.

You cant really take BE away while everyone else is spamming gap closers. So i changed my point on Be i really think the class would be unplayable without it. Sorcs can get predictable i always would invasion and hold in block for half a second the minute i connected with them cause i knew they would hit streak. they can be run down, but become fresh meat you take the skill away.
Theyea have all the gap closers everyone else does.. this is the only teleport ability that does not have to have a target to cast. Make bolt escape require a target and I will call it fixed. Even if it is something they can put on the ground I think that would be appropriate then you could kite but not immediately run out of gap closer range which would be exactly what it needs to be.

Shield stacking in contrast to sneak speed has never been officially declared as not intented. It exists since beginning, was discovered in very early beta and still, you act as if it would be commonly known as something comparable to an exploit. You even set both on par in your title, which is basically cheap propaganda.

What are you even talking about? Dark Exchange? Yes I've min/maxed by build around using Dark exchange, it's easily preventable by one or two dozen abilities. Clearly OP since you don't like it and apparently don't understand how it works.Luvsfuzzybunnies wrote: »ezareth_ESO wrote: »Yeah with two potions, magicka return from harness magicka and over a minute of time with magicka return.

Cloak at 420 magicka has nearly the same base cost as Bolt Escape.
The softcap of Magicka return is ~137 and is easily achieved which is 274 Magicka ever 4 seconds. Light armor, seducer and 3 spell reduction enchants would make Dark Cloak cost 257 Magicka thus giving a NB the ability to cast this spell an infinite number of times every 4 seconds.Luvsfuzzybunnies wrote: »Been playing a NB since beta, I use to hate BE all i did was complain about it. That has to be one of the most absurd suggestions I've seen. God, return me to WoW and their stupid totems please. What is with you people trying to homogenize every class into the same ball of garbage. Every class is *supposed* to have abilities that no other classes have. Templars have eclipse and sun shield, DKs talons and reflective scales, Night blades have Mass Hysteria and Mark Target and Dark cloak. EVERY class has abilities that are unique and no other class has anything like it.
Sorcs HAVE to have a chance to pull out of range. We're the squishiest class in the game and we have zero defensive abilities outside of Bolt Escape.
Just because you can't kill every sorc you see with your cookie cutter bow build doesn't mean they should be nerfed. If you want to be able to chase down sorcs you'll need to trade that bow for a 2 hander.

If by "fix the speed bug" you mean "bug out the set so the bonus no longer works at all," then sure.
This set has been broken since the patch. Those of us who play non-vampires and used the set to keep pace with vampires before the patch are currently sitting on zero 5-piece bonus of any kind.
Great fix. Punish non-vampire players because of the whining people directed at vampires.

It's easy to say something. Its a lot harder to prove it. You play a NB. Everyone is calling you a liar because no one in this entire game is afraid of your NB. No one.
Show us this build of you beating ass with your NB and people might listen.
But again, this thread was about sneak speed. That had nothing whatsoever to do with NB. Bunch of non-NB players came to this thread basically saying NB is OP which is ridiculously laughable.
You know what, I am done arguing. I've been doing it for 1.5 years and we are still here having the same argument. I've got better things to do than argue about a game whose PvP somehow manages to get worse with every patch.

I don't dissagree with you. In fact, the vampire stupidity is one of the reasons I stopped playing. 70% of the playerbase is vampires. This ain't elder scrolls...
Also I had no idea if NS set was bugged at the moment. Even so, I should not be forced to waste my armour set bonuses, just to get close (still not on-par) to vampire speed, something they get from a passive trait
Vampires are a joke, and need a total revamp in this game. At the moment any class that focuses on offence, has zero reson to not be a vampire. That's why much more than half the playerbase in PvP are vampires.

A "FOTM" player who hasn't change his core build since he hit VR rank 60 days /played ago. Got it.
Stealth Nightblades who mark me are just bad players. There is no better way to say, please make sure your shields are up and you're ready for a "suprise" attack. If you're already visible and fighting me then there is some benefit to marking me as the reduction in armor will increase your damage when you're through my shields yet the debuff on you won't increase my damage since I'm already penetrating all of your spell resistance anyways. When you're just fighting shields however mark doesn't really do anything to either of us since shields don't have armor/spell ress.
My "massive" shield that absorbs 730 damage and is weaker than a shield that everyone has access to with far more utility and can be broken with a single flying blade...sounds pretty OP to me. Bound armor is an absolute joke and it doesn't offer spell penetration which isn't defensive anyways. Trading 10% of your max magicka and one of your 5 ability slots for 1000 armor is completely laughable. When have you ever seen any decent Sorc using bound armor? Any other amazing defensive abilities that awesome sorcs who are killing you are using? We have no reflective scales, we have no Blazing Shield, we have no Dark Cloak or aoe CC that can't be blocked. Bolt Escape is it.
Ak'nur has no problem chasing me down with his 2-hander but then again he has skill and I can't teach you how to play your class. I don't run from single players, never have, never will. The moment I see you or any other cookie cutter stealth bow nightblade open up on me I charge them and they die unless they're with friends in which case I put distance between us.
The problem is you're playing a stealth class as a stealth assassin and you expect to be able to kill players like myself who are built to counter players like you. I have 3700 hitpoints, a sword and shield, 3 magical shields, and magelight on 2 bars for a reason. You don't have a chance to kill not because of exceptional skill on my part but because I've sacrificed much in my build to kill people like you and if you could still kill me then nightblades would be ridiculously OP.
Your problem is you feel that this game with a nearly infinite combination of abilities, gearing, enchants and attributes can somehow always be balanced so that you have a 50% chance to beat a player of equal skill. This isn't a 1v1 game and even games that claim to have balanced 1 v 1 play have paper/scissors/rock approach to things as well.
When I see a sorc who is shield stackng, a DK who knows how to use reflective scales, a Sword/board defensive NB, or a Templar who spams blazing shield and eclipse I don't target them or if I do I kill them last because they are not good targets for me. Maybe you should learn the limitations of your build and quit expecting the devs to design the game around your desires.

Do you really don't know, or just defending the broken stealth vampire-NS mechanic?
Positioning and right timing means: Faster roaming around, easier to catch someone solo, since you can observe/follow your enemies while sneaking which leads to more fights = more kills, and easier to avoid geting caught by a zerg/big group, since you practically moved at horse speed while unseen.
Try playing a stealthy class without being vampire, and see how fun it is. Do the same afterwords, but being a vampire with dark stalker passive.
Don't worry I know the results, I've done it myself.

So you hold 360 block and spam 3 shields in light armor, use invasion, bolt escape, crystal shards, perhaps annulment and dark exchange.
Did I miss anything? You ARE FOTM despite 60 days nerded.
They need to overhaul block mechanics entirely and add cast times to shield abilities or guys like this will continue with cheese d*** light armor turtle builds.
Or better yet, make Mark Target ignore shields on the target and see how you do trying to face tank a stamina build melee assassin combo weaving 3 attacks at you a second while you back peddle holding block and spamming shield/bolt with out so much as targeting him.

If they put a passive q60% speed buff on sneak for just nightblades ok I can see the issue there but this was not the case. Anything else I can clear up for you?

If you were worried about positioning so much you could have put on those sets and become a vampire but this was not the playstyle you chose. Then when you got to where you were going you could switch back to your actual pvp set and unload your damage. I just didn't see the issue with the set especially considering it was available to all players. If they put a passive q60% speed buff on sneak for just nightblades ok I can see the issue there but this was not the case. Anything else I can clear up for you?
First of all in order for us to test something together in-game, you would have to pay for my sub, because there's no way for me to pay in order to play such a mess of a game
Anyways, on point, when I played I pretty much always roamed in PvP looking for small group action, or solo players. I played a burst dmg NB. I had a friend who was a vampire from pretty much the start, also a NB, and we roamed together on Cyrodiil when both of us were online. He always had to wait for me because of the massive difference in sneak speed of vamp vs mortals. When Night's Silence set was introduced, the difference was so ridiculous, we made a test. We would roam solo for 1 whole day in Cyrodiil, and we'd count our kills and deaths in the end of day. The result was:
-me: kills 64, deaths 19
-him: kills 158, deaths 7
This shows how important it is to be able to pick your fights, or run away when you are needed to.
We played all the time solo, never joined a zerg, and only entered combat on solo and small group fights.
So no, the speed stacking is not OP with the meaning of: 50 people could not kill one person, but moving at horse speed while unseen gives you double the oportunities of any other player, especially when you play a class that is relying on stealth.
The current meta for roaming around in "PvP" is either be a vamp, or get the f* out.

I think your concluding sentence is inaccurate however and you should insert a "Stealth Gankers" in there somewhere. I certainly never stealth unless I'm AFK or alt/tabbed and I do more than fine as solo.

i see you on a daily basis in cryodiil, i watch you repeatedly and daily use bolt escape to kill 6 or more people at a time and tank up to 10 people, you allways target and hunt for us nightblades. i know for a fact those speeds we had were of no harm at all in pvp and only allowed us to escape constant death.
you brag to the point of even making videos showing yourself in a godlike mode in elderscrolls online as if it's an intended feature to use bolt escape as a means to achieve a skilled position when infact there is no skill whatsoever in your work. it's cheating.

I kill Sorcs with equal relish. The nightblades I kill are the ones who constantly position (and expose) themselves behind me. The thing is, they are usually the ones that at some point get me so should I just ignore them and go for the shield spamming templar or the block holding reflective scales DK?
AvA PvP is all about picking your targets and maximizing your efficiency. I mentioned earlier that my entire build was designed to kill stealth nightblades and that's true. That's why the majority of my detractors are those very people.
Do I call your stealth attacks that hit me for 2700+ damage cheating? No.
Does my use of intended game mechanics to defeat a large segment of players who do nothing but attack players from stealth who have next to zero chance of survival give me enjoyment? It does. Especially since those are the same players who will typically continue the same strategy over and over and over again, failing each and every time yet they will never consider that the problem in on their end.
And for the record I can "Tank" maybe 3 people at one time for a short period of time, no different than most other classes, especially when they are defensively built as I am. When there is more than that, or I recognize that I stand zero chance at killing the players I'm engaged with I instead divide and conquer them. At no point can I make them chase or follow me and at no point are any of them in a position where they are unable to save themselves, they all die from their own mistakes.
Many of the people I've killed have messaged me and I've given them tips on how to better fight me or what mistakes they are making in general. Every single one of the people that fall into that category are players I've noticed are much better Today than they were weeks before. The players who message me with insults (usually /ignoring me before they even send me a message) are the ones that typically die over and over and over again and never improve because they are unfortunately for them close-minded and lacking skill. My point is, there is nothing unbalance or unfair about my strategy or my build. Dozens of people out there counter me easily. Just because you don't see how to do so doesn't mean I'm somehow dishonorable or a cheater.
I lost my first campaign because me and my guild who were the top 20 players in that campaign refused to use the caltrops exploit. By the time they fixed that exploit half of my guild had already quit the game in frustration and the campaign was lost. You shouldn't throw around the word "cheating" unless you're certain of its meaning.

You shouldn't throw around the word "cheating" unless you're certain of its meaning.
by "cheating" what i mean is that you clearly hunt for us nighblades when you KNOW for a fact our class is broken and most if not all of our skills dont even work properly, yet you not only brag about killing us but you even go as far as to make videos about doing it "THAT" to me is cheating.
