Should I reroll? Serious question from a V12 NB

I have enjoyed playing my NB (rerolled from DK a week after early access), however two pivotal issues are now making me question continuing with this character at all:
Firstly, the Nightblade has been the most "balanced" and "fixed" class by volume of patch log changes. Despite this, many fixes loosely promised as far back as 1.2 have yet to arrive, such as attack speed on bows. Most notably in 1.4s big release, they have broken Shadow cloak/stealth (can you break something that never 100% worked as intended? maybe another word). Nightblades will be seemingly micromanagedbalanced so often it's hard to commit to a character standing on a tectonic fault line.
This leads me to part deux- The rate at which item sets, bonuses, stacking penalties, and skills have changed every major update makes investing in a gold V14 set a very risky gamble. Every major update (sometimes even at the minor updates) there are horror-story quality tales posted of someone JUST golding out their set, to learn that its "new" bonuses are no longer even close to what the player intended. This makes me uneasy even capping out my items at V14, unless I pick the typical, cookie-cutter build+item sets, since those have been already abused and balanced it seems.

its the same game, regardless of class. And if you have the patience to play through all the same alliances again, go for it. I did not. Thats why my sorc is stuck at VR8.

✭✭I do wonder when they release patches that seem designed to make a class that is acknowledged to be weakest even weaker, if I were their boss I would force them all to play nothing but stealthy, medium wearing, stamina based, non-staff NBs until they fixed the faults.

My "expectations" for any NB build are that the skills work as intended, and if not, are attended to in a timely manner. We were told that 1.2 had the haste attack speed on bows working...here we are 1.4.3, and I don't know if that's even still in the works. Shadow cloak's theoretical fix finally arrived, 5+ months after release, and it's now more broken than before. Yes, it's a new patch, yes they will fix it quickly, but this "quickly" is still addressing a situation I bug reported in March.In fact, I don't know why people think knightblades are so underpowered. If all my skills worked as intended for even one month I would stop "complaining on the forums." Your post is typical, "I didn't read the opening post, but I have very defined opinions on what I think it's about anyway."

For the record, I've seen plenty of NBs and templars survive just as long. Sorcs, not so much, mostly because they just bolt escape away xD

Sure a skilled NB can hold their own but generally if probed a lot of 'good' NBs turn out to be destro/resto light wearers who have builds that do well in spite of the underlying class flaws. And good luck to them.
If you prefer to play the more balanced medium wearing stealthy assassin variant that should be possible then are forced to accept that you will struggle harder to achieve the same results.
I am reasonably skilled and rack up kills against whatever classes I encounter but if I meet a skilled sorc or DK Odds will be against me.3 -

A good DK is unkillable (maybe not vs Templar), i killd 2 DK 2 on me once, and that means nothing exept they was really really bad. Doesnt need to defend the OP DK and you doesnt need to flame the NB who complains that their abilities and passives arent working, because most DK want even more tanking and more dmg, like the alerady BS reflect should not use magicka at all..
DK are the ppl who know how to exploit the weak combat mechanics of game, thx for the incompetent zos, and brag about how good they (sorry that i need to open your eyes, its only your class) are with putting up 1vX videos . Then they coming here and telling BS like "ohh why do you cry? i got killd by NB" and "DK need buff" and such BS....
Many many of my friends used NB and they just got bored because its underpowered compared to the lolDK and OPlar. Some of em have those classes, they do the crappy 1vX with both classes, while they was unable to do that with NB, not because they sux as NB, its because NB is a crap compared to those classes.
Now they brag about how they did 3k dmg with blazing shield, and if NB jumping on em, they say.... "was just an NB" and they killing any of em easily. As for the DK class user firends, they just going into 1vX and they farming players.Edited by Kypho on September 16, 2014 9:02PM2 -

Sablemane✭✭✭Honestly I believe it is best to play each class long enough to understand their strengths and weaknesses firsthand. Of course that is easy for an altoholic to state The nightblade has the most potential for fun imho once ZOS gets them in a good spot. I enjoyed playing my NB "ranger" and NB DW "assassin" up to level 37 so far, but the problems with detection radius, and shadow cloak along with associated crit/hit issues means they'll be honing their surveillance skills for awhile. Maybe their lute skills too.
I highly recommend giving DW Templar a go if you enjoy unleashing whirling steel death and sun fire on milk drinkers.1 -

Of course my complaint has been "escalated" so who knows what the end result will be. But I personally want these forums and their phone lines FLOODED with irate (but polite!) people who DEMAND they do the right thing. I want this to HURT them. Not JUST because I'm mad about NBs, Night's Silence and Vampires (though I am PLENTY mad! LOL) but because they have GOT to learn that they simply CANNOT keep listening to the whiners and screwing over the rest of their players because a few kids are screaming that it's not fair someone can "go fast" when they can't....because they've chosen armor that confers more combat bonuses. Explain to them in long, breathtaking detail why your class is now unplayable as far as you are concerned. Express your doubt in their integrity and their QA department. Ask them what they intend to do about it. Demand someone higher up call you back. I've also experienced some nightblades that I simply was unable to kill because their build and play style was very good. Instead of running to mommy (ZOS) that the kids wont play fair take some advice L2P. You, along with many other people that think DKs are gods of PvP still, should try dueling sometime with decently skilled players. I fight all classes in a dueling guild called Legend and it seems pretty balanced. I win some and lose some verse all 4 classes.
In fact, I don't know why people think knightblades are so underpowered. I fought a great knightblade the other day and COULD NOT kill him. He definitely knew how to play his class instead of complaining on forums because he couldn't use a skill another class has.
What skills, weapons did he use? I'm highly sceptical of the skills required in this game given the 360 block, and the large hit target.

Have a vet 10 templer and vet 7 sorc, my vet 8 nb is now my main and i wouldn't go back. Even with it faults and consistent changes.2
