The Emperor brings power to the table for your faction. Why, if you want to win your Campaign, would you want to be Emperor if you weren't going to be on the most? Sounds selfish
It should go to the person in your faction who intends to be online the most.

*shrug* Easy. Slap a "/per hour" to every metric used.
That said, I don't particularly have a problem with people who play longer having a significant advantage, and slapping a "per hour" on would actually tend to penalize people that play longer, as you'll have periods of time where you're just fooling around, or nobody is there to fight, etc. going against you.
Probably the best would be something along the lines of using your highest scoring 2 hours of play per day (or 14 hours per week), or something like that. Would give players who play more an advantage, as they have less odds of a slow hour hurting their score, as they'd have more hours to make it up, but a good player only on for a couple hours per day that can simply always get good scores for the time he's on, would still be competitive.
You clearly need to hire better people ...Too often, I've seen folks whine and gripe about their superiors who get more money than they do. Yet, nine times out of ten, when I then offer advancement, those same whiners don't want the extra responsibility, effort, and time the greater position requires.

Yeah, cuz its so easy to find people who want to work

In RL hardly anyone becomes an emperor either. I have no problem with that. In this game the Emperor title is so tainted I wouldn't want to display it.Theres no way for the majority of people to have a chance against the people that play 24/7. I wish there was something we could do to have a chance.
Life is not fair. Neither are games. That is just the way it is. Normal people don't become President or CEO of major corporations either. The ones that do, work 24/7

Same people probably grinded anomolies and think they earned V12. Same people who grinded anomolies probably complained about VR nerf. They didn't want things to be "too easy" after they "earned" it the hard way.
This game doesn't reward people who legitimately play it. Enjoy.
Edit: Somebody reported me for using the word '"scumbag" They apparantly fall in this category of players and were offended.

In DAoC to Grandpa, you had the rr-rankings, nobody was against it because at first it was a hard way to get it completly trough, but until that it gaves rr1, rr2, rr3, maybe Matt you will remember.
Best solution is not allways the small way of thinking. The old thinkers thought, write well and good, but keep your writings small. They will understand it more than phrases of thinking.

I dont think you did. Thats what you do when you compete and want to win. You put effort into it.
If you want to win based on pure luck, play bingo?
well I work and have already concluded I will never get it, since no lifers can play almost 24/7, I dont.
emperorship is based on time played and points farmed, not on skill thats the issue with it, if there would be some sort of skill-meter implemented (like for instance was in Bad Company 2 leaderboards, only the best player could have rank 1, then maybe 10 people could be rank 2, a 100 rank 3, and so on, and the ranks were awarded on your performance, if you had a good day you could climb a few ranks, if you had a bad day drop some, it had nothing to do with time played or pointfarming, like it is in eso) then the rightfull person would be crowned emp, not just the nolifers
Well, since this thread got necroed I'll just reply to it:
You do not need to play "24/7" to become Emperor. Even a few hours after a campaign reset is enough if you have a good group and/or are a skilled player.
If you aren't a skilled player and/or can't put any enough effort in becoming one, then why should you become an Emperor?

If it was actually about skill, you would have a point. But since it's not, you're just flapping your lips for no reason.

Yep. Most in the newer generation seem to be all about filling positions, vice actually working for a living.
There are exceptions of course, but they're rare.
