Any of the existing "classes" is a warrior if you concentrate on non-staff weapon skills. May not be a particularly *powerful* warrior, but that's the whole issue of stamina vs magica builds.

The tools are pretty much already there to make just about any class you care to make, the first step is just recognizing that ZoS mislabeled spell schools as classes. And just because your character was trained in a particular spell school, doesn't mean you have to use it. I'd say 5 out of 6 of my characters are primarily weapon based. (yes, I have one character specializing in each weapon. IMO your weapon choice creates a far greater distinction in play style than your class choice.)

Id rather see trait lines for:

    Bard
    Necromancer
    Companion
    Thieves guild
    Dark Brotherhood
    Morag Tong
    Dragonguard
    Sword Saints
    Daggers
    Wyrd
    Thalmor
    Eyes of the Queen
    Wild Hunt
Daedric Worship (and a line for each Prince)
Aedric Worship (and a line for each divine)

Id also like there to be multiple lines for vampire to denote different bloodlines.

    But a new class? Nope.

This. I'd rather see new lines instead of new classes.
I would especially like a Wyrd, a "Monk" and a Frost skill trees.

Don't want a new class, that would just introduce another imbalance to the currently imbalanced class skills. I'd prefer if they wised up and abandoned the whole class system and went back to the real elder scrolls play as you want that was present in the previous single player games where you have access to every skill line and can build them as you see fit. They need to bring back the previous attribute systems as well.
Is it better to out-monster the monster or to be quietly devoured?

I'd like a Bard skill line, like the Undaunted, vampire or Fighter's Guild, but not a new class. It wouldn't make much sense, since anyone can learn to play an instrument.

All I need is a new emote where i can squawk and flap my arms. Then I will fit in to group dungeons as a casters pet. It's the only way to go for one so intent on stamina build. I will follow your gown anywhere in a group dungeon. I do already as a nb.

I voted yes. I think they should add classes eventually. Not now though. And always in even numbers. Preferably classes that kinda "counter" each other. Necromancer / Wyrd. Priest / Warlock maybe.

Eh. Personally I think we have enough classes as it is, and with the diverse skill lines (that could always be expanded upon) I always figured people could easily create a 'bard' or 'blood mage' play style.

I am always for expanding skill lines, as classes tend to speak "restriction" to my mind. Unlike simply not choosing to do a quest line or event, classes tend to make us choose one over the other.

I am ok with new classes, so long as we don't get excessive about it. Like 8 classes is way too much. But I suppose one or two more classes wouldn't hurt much.....skill lines are my preferable option though.

I'm surprised at the amount of people that voted yes. By the complaints and requests for nerfs on the forums it seems like everyone wants just 1 class.
If you like small group PvP (2-4 players) and solo PvP check out my video ;)https://youtube.com/watch?v=jechGImtFio

SPOILER: The first 40 seconds of the video contains a scene from the final Molag Bal boss fight!

Players do not know what they want. If it were open skill entirely the game would be nothing but variants of one build that does everything. I've seen this countless times in 100% open skill systems. People forget why classes even exist in mmos: it is because classes are easier to balance against each other than hundreds of skills. This game would be a far larger mess currently if no classes existed.

So you want every single player in game using the same OP skills with absolutely no class distinction? Great, then enjoy that mess of a game.

I prefer to deal in facts. It is a fact that this game has classes. It is a fact that such a titanic change toward removing classes is impossible to undertake at this time. It is a fundamental element to the game. To expect that to change is pure fantasy so why even talk about it?

The possibility of removing classes is zero. That fact the game has classes always leaves the possibility of a new class open. It is something ZoS will always consider even if they flat out say they have no current plans for one.

There are other options to consider too. New non-class skill lines are certainly coming. I still hope for a new melee line. I am not sure if new magic lines will be added after spell crafting is added though. Perhaps very narrowly themed ones. ZoS could even add a 4th skill line to each class as an option too. Stamina based skill lines to DK and NB would be great. Sorc could get an ice skill line. I'd love to see a melee support line for Templar so one could make something similar to a melee healer.

Yes, I want a class that's similiar to what I always play in TES games and MMO's. A nord, heavy armor, huge battle axe, melee only with no magic. Pure warrior. Unfortunate that's not really an option here. You pretty much need at least some magic no matter what.

    1. It would be easy to remove classes. Simply adding a quest to learn each of the 12 class skill lines would do it. Could effectively do it via spellcrafting if it was possible to spell craft each of the different class abilities.
    2. One could argue that having every character have access to everything would make balance unneccessary. If it's OP, just use it. Of course, it also means that it would be easier to simply nerf any skill that is OP, as there would be less worry about such a nerf crippling a particular class that relies on it. And there HAVE been classless MMO's. *cough* UO.
    3. I don't PvP, don't run time trials. As such, balance is actually fairly irrelevant, as far as I'm concerned. I play characters because they are fun. So what if powergamer PvPers are all running around using the same "uber optimized" build. If that's fun for them, so be it.
    4. I'd also argue that, with only 10 skill slots, it would be *really* hard to "do everything".

No, I don't want a new class, we already have a superfluous class, it's called Nightblade. I want Nightblade to be a viable and distinct stealth class, that's actually worth using without turning it into a tank build or something else...

I wish they fix the old ones first. I have one of each class. Can safely say that my Templar, DK, sorc and NB all have at least 2 of these problems:

Skills not working as intended or stops working altogether, misleading tool-tips, skills with values not increasing as they level up and bugged passives.

I voted yes because I feel it is lacking not having a specific archer class. I played all my TES as archer, Hunter in LOTRO, as well as other games. I don't like it so much in ESO and play Sorc instead primarily. But opinions and..... :D
If options weren't necessary, and everyone played the same way, no one would use addons. Fix the UI!
