Holy run-on sentence batman!
This is an mmo, creating solo instances for everyone in the open world would be silly. I am a solo player also, and yes there have been times where other players have ruined my experience. However, there have been some pretty awesome tag team encounters I've had with other players.

I still fail to see how someone playing solo ruins someone else's multiplayer experience. You don't play with all the players you see no matter how much they mass so how are some singles within that mass bothering you?

(it's not rocket science)

Maroon me!
1) resource nodes. A solo player would be easily able to gather unlimited quantities which would bring back gold selling and such annoyances.
What rubbish! First, try harvesting a resource node when a group is in the area 'strip mining' so to say. Second you imply that all a solo player wants to do is 'farm' items which is entirely untrue, unfounded and unreasonable. Third, solo player does not equal gold seller. Fourth, if a solo player was phased from the rest of the game, they would not be able to sell at a high profit to make lots of gold and would, furthermore, not likely be able to gold sell as they would be independent from the MMO part of the game.
2) more importantly, the sheer quantity of computing resources taken by hundreds of individual solo instances of the game, being handled by the server.
This could only be true if independent phases for independent players where made and had server interaction. However, the phases could be reasonably handled client side with little or no server contact. Oh! Wait! Better just make that a single player game rather than an MMO. That's the real question here I suppose; "Would you [any player] like a single player version of ESO?". There seems to be a misconception by some people; Solo players want a single player game. In reality, it would seem (check the posts in this thread alone), many players stating that they play solo are actually solo biased. That is that they enjoy playing TESO (or other games) mainly solo but have no problem joining others for grouped play from time to time.
