You would be able to group with players from all 3 factions for PVE content. We all end up in Craglorn for trials... You can queue up for dungeons and travel to them. If we had the ability to do PVE cross faction it would take less time to fill groups and have a wider community to play and interact with. The segmentation only makes sense for an MMO where Player vs. Player is involved. Players vs. Environment should be allowed to be a cooperative effort with any other players in the community.

The war and related stories would still be valid. Nothing would need to be rewritten. It's just like the real world. We have conflicts and drama between countries but it doesn't keep us from interacting with others as individuals.... That's a false pretense.

I could see it being explained in a way that would satisfy my objections for new content. Perhaps not old content without rewrites, but I've been having so much trouble finding people for low level dungeons, I probably wouldn't mind.

When I find other players in Cyrodiil, especially fighting delve bosses or dark anchors, I team up with them, regardless of faction. That makes sense for furthering my own interests but it also makes sense from an RP standpoint. Hell, the main story had

Guilds can have members from all three factions (ok, so it's accounts, not characters). Let's say a guild group forms, missing a vital role. One member has a matching character, but it's in another alliance than the other three. So the guild group must turn him away and take on a random player instead? Bummer.

Besides, all non-player guilds have members from all three alliances, and they work together, too. NPCs do, that is, the PC members are not allowed to somehow. Sounds strange, doesn't it?

Alliance loyalty / faction pride was already killed with: 1) The VR system that has us saving our opposing faction. 2) allowing race intermingling, 3) Cross faction guilds

ESO simply doesn't have the population to support the current degree of player segmentation. We're split across 66+ zones. This leaves many zones desolate, group finder tools empty, etc... (especially in higher vr zones)

Honestly, with making the whole game outside of pve and PvP cross faction they might as well just allow us to group with friends in pve. It's been done before look at rift. Pve is cross faction but the 2 factions still fight each other in PvP. Fact is it's annoying to sit there and make every aspect of the game about community and then limit community interaction. I have a guild awesome it's cross faction awesome what you mean I can't run with my guild mattress in pve in dungeons in trials ect. It's pointless. They should at least allows guild mattress to run together. And in areas like craglorn where it's all one faction what the heck is the point in segregation. Dungeon finder is the bare minimum that should be cross faction add it is now it's practically useless.

Mattress guild? I honestly dislike the notion of cross alliance guilds, but that's none of my business.

Oh but didn't you guys hear? Update 6 will be hello kitty island featuring your furry favorite, carebears! I would rather not get friendly with the enemy faction, its bad enough that pve points you in that direction as it is.

I could see that the undaunted wouldn't care about the alliance war and allow the 3 alliances to run dungeons together, but when it comes to the leader boards it wouldn't be so great.

For those who love to PvE over PvP, the leader boards is their own form of AvA in the terms of what alliance is better at what trail, which makes more Alliance pride and it more competitive.

Well, the Undaunted is neutral so maybe as an effort of the Undaunted they could gather all their members to rid the world of the evils lurking in dungeons! There should also be a toggle to enable/disable cross-faction grouping in case someone is too sensitive for their faction pride.

No f'in way, this game has lost too much of its identity already, with allowing cross faction shenanigans. I totally agree with the fact that any race should be available to any faction, as individual will gravitate to what particular political outlook agrees with them. Let's be honest though the pvp/ faction pride has already been overwhelmed with ppl playing multiple faction alts in the same campaign ( something that was not supposedly be able to be done, frequently abused). Personally I'm all for no inter faction communication whatsoever, as it stands even if they(zos) went back on this principle, ppl already know each other and are capable of collusion( always would have been the case, just not as prevalent) due to having the extended periods of communication via ts/vent etc and that freely given by the game. In short zenimax failed hard at Instilling faction pride. I love my faction and chose it for my own reasons and still play every toon within the definition(original) of my faction, yes I'm ep & dunmer, regardless of having the facility of any race any faction or imperial. I'm pissed of with seeing ppl bring their alts to the winning faction at the time, in the campaign of their choosing. Especially after I've spent a good deal of time facing that same player on his 'main' (or hers) only to have them spawn next to me in a keep.
It's annoying to say the least, using questionable mechanics and should not be allowed. NO To inter - faction, cross faction full stop. You should pick your alliance , nail your colours to the wall and make friends entirely within the same faction be it pve/p. Yes the facility for cross faction would still exist via external mechanisms but in no way should the game support that. Anyhow that said that is my opinion only. I do feel though things would be healthier all around if they had sorted the whole faction issues earlier.
