DC hit 3 bars on Thornblade NA last night while being pop locked on Chillrend. It's possible DC was pop locked for a brief time last night on Thornblade. A few days ago, DC was pop locked on both during prime time so there are plenty of DC players, even if they are fewer in number.
I have no idea how the DC pop stands on the EU server. I suspect it is similar to the NA server, though.
You must understand its all about perception and I'd be curious about the comparison of PvP population to total population. Is the perception that DC is underpopulated mean less DC players will PvP because they don't want to lose? What if all three sides have equal overall population, but unbalanced PvP population, what would that mean? Less PvP player chose DC? Unlikely, farm more likely people were normally distributed in each faction and thus your portion of "PvP" players should be near equal. So as I said could it be perception? Thats once again if there is an imbalance to begin with, but I think as an example the whole reason Thornblade is dead right now isn't that there weren't fights, its the perception of not being able to win because of night capping.
Wasn't it population? On chillrend, EP heavily outnumbered DC/AD prior to the reset, and on Thornblade, AD heavily outnumbered DC/EP. In addition to both those factions being able to poplock at 5am (I know because I've been insane enough to try to defend)
I remember defending on Thornblade at glademist. It was 10DC, literally 10, vs poplock AD, I counted around 80ish inside the keep courtyard. All the while, EP was at 3 bars on chillrend pvdooring the keeps and resources all red.
It's insane that people enjoy pvdooring so much. That's the whole reason I brought No Mercy over to chillrend on reset. To try to chase the EP back to Thornblade. To have at least one campaign that's competitive. Hopefully with us there helping the cause, we can stir enough trouble for the EP that the DC/AD pops won't just give up the campaign and we can have some nice big fun fights all over the map. It appears we've unintentionally brought over the DC and AD from Thornblade. But at least we can have some good competitive fun pvp

i cant believe how many of us are on chillrend now. it sucks because i came here to chillrend to be the underpopulated faction so i had more ppl to fight. i play during the daytime (9am central to around 6pm centeral on and off) and DC poplocks vs 1-2 bar EP and AD during that time, its just a massive blue zerg taking everything and camping gates, which is the opposite of fun. it takes until like 6 or 7pm central time before AD and EP get on enough people to give us a fight.

face it zenimax, your servers are *** and cant handle ***. the lag is horrible when there are big battlles

That's what I was talking about. Every day since Chill reset-- I get off work and get on the game at around 7 p.m EST and the entire map is blue with locked pop. I'm confused in what this original post was talking about, or if it was meant to be a satire on the current situation of PvP on Chill.msawwan2ub17_ESO wrote: »I rather have 2-3 full campaigns with less players each.

Yeah it's getting ridiculous, I logged off yesterday after almost 2 hours of constant lag.
chill is just in a dumb state right now is all, it will get sorted out in a week or so i hope, and people will adjust their sleep schedules. right now we zerg everyone relentlessly with no opposition during the day, during prime time its AWESOME FUN fighting, then as everyone goes to sleep EP comes along and zergs down all the doors.
Maybe try reading some of the other posts in the thread before you troll.

No Mercy doesn't pvdoor. Ever. Period.
I believe you're referring to the DC pugs that followed us when they realized we were no longer on thorn or the existing DC pugs on chill. Sorry, you're so misinformed.

It's really fortunate then that those "unnamed pugs" that you don't even bother naming got you emp, since your guild doesn't ever pvdoor.
i like you hova and im glad you came here to help us out on this campaign, but telling pix hes trolling because hes saying DC zergs everything during the day when EP and AD dont have numbers is true. ive tried to stop DC from camping the starting gates of EP multiple times over the past few days, we seriously take every keep EP has and then the rest of the map except for BB and BM.

I said he's trolling because this post initially was not a discussion of chillrend's specific population and pvp ebb and flow. It was a discussion of the generalization of all campaign populations and I was just wondering why DC seemed to be underpopulated. Agrippa eloquently explained the lore side of it and the beta Internet community swarming to AD so it all made sense. Pixyditz just derailed the conversation by focusing only on the chillrend population after EG recently moved here (recently being last night)

So I'm just confused in how you think this is any different than what EP did on Chillrend before this reset, other than one is during the day when everyone is at work or school, and one is at night when everyone is asleep.

well no offense so please dont take any, but this happened since chill2.0 started it wasnt because EG came yesterday. it happened the 2 days before EG came as well. and on dawnbreaker and on wabba and now chill DC has always had a good population, i dont think ive ever thought of us as being the low pop faction at all.

at least in the past few days ive never seen EP or AD outnumber DC during when i play. ( i play morning and a good amount of day central time)
but i mean its counteracted by no one having EPs numbers at night, but the balance it creates is so that during primetime is the only remotely competitive time to find fights, which sucks. im sure it will balance out but you gotta call it how you see it, theres no point in trying to hide the issue cause then its not gunna get fixd.

It's really weird how all this is shaking out. Hova gets pissed and announces he's coming to Chili, hey that's great we were undermanned and needed some help. But it took less than 24 hours for everyone on Thorn to follow.
Everyone says they want fair, balanced competitive pvp but the minute the tables turn against them they are out the door so fast it makes your head spin. And that goes for all 3 factions.
We have enough players to have two pretty decent campaigns but I doubt we will ever see it.
Honestly I think they need to sink all their resources into having one pvp server. Then all this run and hide and follow the leet guilds stuff comes to an end.
I picked DC because what I read before launch suggested they'd be out numbered, and for the most part in US prime time I think that's true. And I picked Chili when it opened to avoid the lag fest of Thorn. Fighting an uphill fight and losing is way more fun to me than just rolling like a freight train. Anyway I may be spending more time on Thorn soon. We'll just have to see how things go the next couple of days.
