That is a dumb negative intelligent question. Nobody has reached this rank yet. And due to the fact, that everybody has a different speed in "leveling up" his PvP rank, there can only be one answer to your question:

Reaching PvP rank 50 takes exactly as long as it takes to reach it.

The current highest ranked NA players are #1 Naw Sunrest on DC, #2 Permared on AD, and #3 Casuale (quit 2 months ago) on AD. They are 37, 37, 36 respectively. My apologies if anybody passed Casuale (300k from 37) this week, I've been away.

It has been ~5 months and rank 37 is approx. 1/3 of the way to rank 50. I would predict around 1 year before anybody hits rank 50 (factoring burnout).

I'm sure this game will die before we see a Rank 50 player unless they drastically reduce the AP required to level it.

Sadly, at the rate the user base is shrinking I don't see ESO lasting a year.

they do need to lower the amount of points it takes to reach PvP ranks. the huge difference in getting from recruit grade 3 to tyro, then from tyro to tyro grade one, is a bit much. not everyone has the time to play the game 20 hours a day to get thru these ranks.

having to get about 5,000 points to get to the next rank, then have it jump up to 40,000 to get the next next rank is.... odd:/

No need to reduce it at all. It's the same for everyone. It is something that is meant to take a long time (like rr10 was in DAOC).

reaching the 8th rank in a 50 rank system should not take as long as it does in this game in my opinion.
im not saying make level 50 super quick to attain, I just disagree with it taking 3 weeks just to get thru the first 10 ranks. Of cours,e people disagree. to each their own.

I don't understand why people can be upset about it. It's not like anyone is at any disadvantage we all go the same pace.

To make it any faster will see too many people hit max rank too quickly... and then what? Nothing to obtain. This is the same with people who want it account wide.

I know MMOs these days is all about achieve everything in 5 seconds or it's too hard, but this is one thing I really don't want them to change.

I never played DAoC but I agree the higher ranks need to be hard to earn for a reason. WoW used a different system but you never saw multiple HW/GM's running around, it was very hard to get and harder to keep. at least you don't 'lose' ranks for inaction here. just keep working at it. Instant gratification is never a good thing.

I read a thread that said it took 64,000,000 AP (approximately) to reach rank 50.

At 100k AP a day (which is quite a bit, even for a regular player that puts in several hours, very few get more than this regularly) it would take you just under two years to reach rank 50

Even the very exceptional of the AP generators that might make 250k on average a day, every day, nonstop, youre still looking at close to 9 months.

I think it could stand to take a little less ap. Just a little. What I really don't like is how long it takes to level up the alliance skill lines. Those are the things that actually separate the new people from the people that have been playing way longer, which is more of a negative effect imo.

they arent getting that every day.

The top scorer on thornblade, for example, has just under 10 million AP in the last 30 days.

thats 300k/day on average. not exactly a small number, but definitely not 500k/day

Really? After reset on chill, about 20hrs later when I checked, a few people were over 400k. Jagermeister of AD is at over 800K right now and its been less than 2 days.

Try from 32-33 - it's 1.6 million points. You are complaining about Tyro?

Oh wait - you're EP on chill NM - sorry for your pain. Only AP you get is from running scout quests and keep takes - you never actually kill anyone when the players get on to fight.

Yeah, it's not that hard if you get to bust up some EP zergs. We made 110K in an hour and a little defending Arrius the other day - and 90K on Sunday defending BRK - so it's more about being in a co-ordinated group that plays like a team and kills loads of people near keeps / resources and collect defense bonuses.

Fighting for an hour and earning 70K then finally clearing out the enemy and seeing a 20K defense bonus is where the AP is at.

If you have no life, you live in your parents basement playing 20 hours per day, and assuming you play on NA server which has better population distribution during the 24h circle, few months.

If you have life, wife, children, job quite possibly never.

I'm 1/2 of the way to rank 10, and have less than 5 days /played. I would hope that the highest rank in PvP would take close to 100 days played. It shouldn't be a quick and easy thing that people can grind out in a month. It's good for the longevity of the game to have long term goals like this in place for people to go after.
