And Dwemer don't belong on that list, they're long extinct by the time of ESO.

that is not entirely correct. as of now in the timeframe of ESO there is at least one Dwemer Left in Tamriel. He lives beneath Dyvth Fyr. In Morrowind. As for the Dwemer being extinct. The in game or specifies That they disappeared. It did not actually say that they were all dead.

Gelebor claims that Vyrthur was corrupted by the Falmer. We know the prophecy Vyrthur made when he was a vampire was made in the First age, because that is when the Volkihar got hold of it.
So yes the Chantry has unfortunately already fallenThat means the possibility of playable Snow elves rely on other possibly holdouts.

That is not correct, ESO predates Dagoth Ur and the Corprus disease. So Yagrum Bagarn is a very healthy Dwemer, and thus not in the Coprusarium.
Dwemer ("The Deep Elves")
Falmer ("The Snow Elves") - Uncorrupted
Maomer ("The Sea Elves")
Ayleid ("The Wild Elves")
As this game is based in Tamriel, I would like to see the variety increase over time; not just limited to a few. For the record though, all of these are great:Dwemer ("The Deep Elves")
Falmer ("The Snow Elves") - Uncorrupted
Maomer ("The Sea Elves")
Ayleid ("The Wild Elves")
However to note, the Snow Elves and Falmer are distinct; the Falmer being the corrupted Snow Elves and not one in the same, the two remaining being seen in Skyrim (the game). I like the option of the Dwemer and Snow Elves as though both exist at this time in the history of the franchise; although the last Dwemer noted in Morrowind (the game) may be the only one since the disappearance.
That's not true. Falmer means Snow Elf, just like Altmer means High Elf, Dunmer means Dark Elf, Bosmer means Wood Elf, etc. Falmer was the name for the Snow Elves long before they accepted the protection of the Dwemer and became twisted into the corrupted Falmer who we are used to seeing in Elder Scrolls games. However to note, the Snow Elves and Falmer are distinct; the Falmer being the corrupted Snow Elves and not one in the same, the two remaining being seen in Skyrim (the game).

Which ones are extinct? I'm not a lore expert by any means but I included these on the list for the following reasons:
Dwemer - Could be not extinct. They simply have not been seen. They mysteriously disappeared. This would allow them to be included in the game if a proper explanation was given.
Riekling - Definitely not extinct in Second Era. From Solstheim. Evidence of the capacity for intelligence at the level of men and mer.
Or if not Riekling, even Goblin - In ESO (Extinct in Third Era)
I also am not sure why people are set in stone with what we know of the lore so far.
The Imga are definitely not extinct. As of the writing of the Pocket Guide to the Empire, First Edition in 2E 864 (several hundred years after the time of ESO) they are members of the Aldmeri Dominion, with a civilization emulating that of the Altmer, who they see as their lords and an example of a near-perfect society.AlexDougherty wrote: »Kothringi are extinct, as probably are Imga and Lilmothiit.

I'm affraid any additions of other races would be hard to include from a Lore point of view.
The only race that would make sense is the Maomer, but considering that we already have the Dunmer, Bosmer and Altmer, a fourth Mer race is really not needed.
I'm happy with the choice we have.
Maybe more variant, like someone suggested, several sub-races of the Khajiit would be nice.
The Bretons could almost be considered a race of elves too, considering that they are the descended from both elves and men. Too much non-elf blood in them to really consider them a race of elves though.bertenburnyb16_ESO wrote: »None.
