Never gonna build my own again, got lazy....

Funny thing it runs real quiet when playing on the EU server, but really ramps up the noise on the NA server... weird.

I went with Falcon Northwest as well, great company. I'd built my own computers during the past 15 years so now that I have the funds to do it and I was looking for a smaller form factor machine, I finally gave in and bought (and customized) one online. But I completely understand about the being lazy part. I was okay with most of the process but connecting the mobo's wires to the case (i.e. the case lights and onboard audio, etc) always annoyed the heck out of me.

    Falcon Northwest Frag Box

    ASUS Rampage IV Gene mobo
    Intel Core i7 4820k 3.7 GHz overclocked
    Asetek Liquid Cooling
4x8 GB 1866 MHz memory (32 GB total)
Nvidia GeForce GTX 780 Ti 3GB
Crucial 512 GB SSD drive (for OS + gaming)
Western Digital 1 TB HD (for everything else)
    1000 Watt Silverstone modular PS
    Windows 7 Professional

It has been nothing but excellent since I got it about a month ago. 58-62 fps regularly except for a slight drop during huge dolmen fights and such.

All I see is 5K + worth of equipment sitting on 3/8" plywood table that uses 2x2's for legs.

I swear god, I got dents on my shoulder, my shoulder fat's been permanently crushed in thanks to that laptop. I need to get a lighter laptop for school and travel.

Actually there is a large oak desk under the other side. I had to add the ply after when my wife complained of not spending enough time and wanted her pc beside mine. It's also been reinforced somewhat since that pic.

2x4s in right angles to one another as legs and full bracing around the outside and underneath.

with those monitors, do you even have time to look at your wife while sitting next to her?

Like a couple of others, I also have reached a point in my life where I can afford to pay someone else to build my computers rather than doing it myself. Many props to those that do though, its a nice skill to have.

    Falcon Northwest Talon

    Intel i7 4820K 3.7 GHz overclocked
    Asus X79 Deluxe Motherboard
    Astek Liquid Cooling
    G. Skill 4GB 1866 DDR3 Ripjaws (16 GB)
    EVGA GeForce GTX 780TI 3GB
    512GB Crucial SSD
    Western Digital HD 1TB

3 year complete warranty <-- And that is why I now have Falcon Northwest build my computers. Paying for piece of mind is priceless!

Oh, and I never got my builds to look so nice and clean on the inside either:

    Nice rig. :D

I love warranties. Even though I build my own Memory Express gives me as much warranty as I want to buy. Everything in my main rig is warrantied for 3 years. This protects against not only the broken down part, but if the new part isn't compatible , (say motherboard goes and all they have is DDR4 Boards) I get the incompatible parts replaced free too.
