GG Homing attacks.
Totally not artificial difficulty.
Nope, not at all.

EDIT: Turned from a Werewolf to a vampire. Decimated the boss. Yep. Glad to see Zenimax hard at work making the Werewolf not suck.

    hard boss fight..... where?

To walk on far shores quest.

    Im on VR10.
The boss herself isnt hard. Its when she summons a ridiculous amounts of ads and then the archers come.

Since I'm DC I did it pre VR. There's a trick to it and once I'd worked it out it turned out to be pretty easy (and I suck at this game ;) )

owyeah I remember that one, is it the final one of DC where you have to save the king in the redguard-dead realm thingie?

well first off the adds attack in waves, so stay back and let em come to you, secondly use stuns and gap closers on the archers, the melee will follow,
but I think this is the hard way, I found it easyer to just rush in the middle of them all, drop standard/solar prison, add some miss(cinderstorm)/dodge(blinding flashes) and aoe the [snip] out of em

(I did it on Dk and templar both pre-VR nerf, it was one of the harder fights indeed, I wiped a couple times before I got it right, but now after nerf I dont think it will be to hard anymore)

I'm having problems with a particular set of VR5 Gargoyles in Bangkori.. just can't get anywhere near beating one as a stamina build DW/Archer NB. Can't CC them, can't outrun them, they hit for anything between 400-800 dmg, I quickly run out of stamina for my bow attacks due to roll dodging, and breaking free.. so it's effectively a DPS race, and they out DPS me by a factor of 4 I think.

First none world boss mob I've not been able to handle solo..

Use the environment, don't be afraid to get your feet wet.

That would solve nothing. All they would do is shoot me in the water and if they dont kill me they would run off and the fight will restart.

I just went from Werewolf to vampire and spammed the heal ultimate morph and breezed through it. Another reason why Werewolf is garbage.

Really, you should listen to Mr. Prime. It's a good hint. If you get it right they'll be queuing up to applaud your decision.

Swim across the water away from a land bridge, then you will be out of arrow range. A reduced group will peel off and run round via a land route, recharge while they travel and then kill them, repeat as necessary then go kill the boss lady.

Actually using the water is how I got past this quest twice. Pick off the mobs by two's and three's as they run to your position on the far right shore. As more swarm to your position dive back into the water head away from the mobs. They retreat towards the center and you recuperate. Repeat until done.

I had trouble with this quest too (VR5), but it was more my familiar despite several tries dropping him down just stood there laughing while I died. :\ Tried again two days later and whatever was buggy about him righted itself and I used my surroundings as well.
If options weren't necessary, and everyone played the same way, no one would use addons. Fix the UI!

You do realize that this boss fight is just a flat terrain right? Hiding behind pillars does nothing because the hit is pre-determined. Meaning that if they release their arrow and I hide behind a pillar, the arrow will go through the pillar and hit me.

Yeah. Tried to see what would happen if I would go into sneak mode when she summons the ghosts. They went away sure. But she jumped from the pillar and vanished. At first I thought she fell through the world until I got shot in the mouth by a fireball.

I beat them when they were either VR9 or VR10 (I'm AD).. but I know exactly what quest that is. I was at that point when their health was insane and damage too LOL. I'm a NB as well and what I did was kite around in a predefined area so I didn't aggro mobs as they respawned (I cleared them first) and they were close to a lot of mobs. I solo'd it. Use refreshing paths if you have it and some range attacks, and keep impale on your bar for when it's low health.

What's funny is, I was on my way out and the (at the time, this was pre-nerfs to DK) a DK class got it's butt handed to him. I saw him fighting a Gargoyle, we were both the same level (level of the area). He dropped fast trying to do his usual tricks that would work on anything else or in PVP. So I messaged him (since really we were probably the only two in the zone), do you need/want some help? He hesitated... and then was like: YES lol so yeah then I helped him and well obviously that was an even easier kill for me.

Sorry this quest just brings up great memories, not the point that the DK got wiped fast, but how they increased health and dmg of enemies and a solo battle like that felt more accomplishing than it does anything that's currently in the game.

BRING BACK THOSE CRAZY MOBS & BOSSES ZOS!!!!!!!!!!!

Agree, Prime is right.. If you go at them they all come at one time , use the environment , its does help.. I completed it as a Templar prior to any fixes.. and no vampire/ww abilities..

well its the only thing you can say when facing people who cant think of a better skill setup as they use.
former vet difficulty forced you to rethink crappy skill setups as you were unable to even withstand the easiest trashmobs.
thats gone and people start screaming all over the place that they are unable to kill this or that (wich in moste cases is awefully easy)...

I beat it pre-VR nerf with a 2h-sword melee templar and it was tough and required a few attempts but not impossible. There is a large statue/altar in front of you that you can run around to keep breaking LoS of the archers and forcing them to get into melee range.

Zenimax have made this kind of common tactic much harder than most MMOS. For over a decade tanks have been clustering ranged mobs in tight groups by using a corner to force them into melee range. The AI in ESO is pretty good. Ranged mobs will round a corner to regain LoS but do it at a distance. I've not seen that before in an MMO. In this encounter you have to channel them against the back wall of the map behind the altar where there isn't much space. Trying to break LoS on a small pillar will just result in them strafing around at a distance until they regain LoS.

You do realize that by going in the water and getting to the right spot the waves of mobs take their sweet time to go after you, giving you plenty of breathing space between killing mobs to work on the boss right? @SurlakinPrime gave you a lovely hint that makes this fight a piece of cake. If you had done it like he suggested, you could have easily beat it without needing to go vampire.

I died once in this fight with my NB because once I killed her first wave when she reappeared she was perma invis and I couldn't attack her.

I should have reported her for haxxing.

    Was VR 10 btw.
