Elf_Boy✭✭✭It doesn't bother me it rains.Yep too much rain! You lucky people living in nicer climates might appreciate it.. but being sat in the UK... I play games for a bit of escapism, so just once in a while I'd like to not have to see rain, whether real or virtual!
In fact they could make a localised version... where you select somewhere like the UK, and you get less rain, or somewhere like the Nevada Desert you get nothing but torrential rain storms, Aussie version has nothing but snow storms... and Norway gets dust storms!
I am currently in the Nevada Desert.
As you can see at the link below the last few weeks we have in fact been having torrential, flooding, rain.
That said, in game rain does not bother me. It is real, it is pretty and it adds immersion to the world of Nirn.

- Sunday: played around 7 - 8 hours. Rained well over 50% (to be conservative); mostly 16-17 level quests
- Monday: played 4.5 - 5 hours. Rained nearly the entire time I played (90%+); mostly 18-19 level quests
- Tuesday: played 6 hours. Hasn't rained one time; few overcast times, yet no rain; mostly 20-21 level quests
- Wednesday: played ~4 hours and it never, once!, stopped raining. As in --> 100% of of the 4 hour session. Logged out for supper; played another 3 hours and it never rained one time with the same character, zone, and area.
I am convinced a variable or two are set upon login that seeds the frequency of weather effects.

- Thursday: the key to stopping the rain is to /camp. So as I mentioned previously, I like the rain effect but I'm either bugged or the intervals and duration are set way too high (OR I really am this unlucky!) on my client. When it does rain it will often not stop for several hours, if ever, so I am forced to play the "/camp out of the game" if it rains for over 30 (my threshold lol) minutes... pretty lame.
Anyways, last self-post/reply. I'm sure a great handful of players do not experience this or may even want it to rain the entire time you play but I am not one of those players, so...

✭✭✭Clinet side, server side, backside, don't care. Make it not rain all the time!I would not mind the rain if it did not cause weird random frame-rate drops for.. I can't quite understand what causes but they don't happen all the time when it rains. When they do happen they are worse if you look down at the ground , if I am in Cyrodill and if am on TS.I probably should do an upgrade but this is still annoying since the game runs pretty decently most of the time on my system.
