Not to derail the thread but I agree with you. It's just a lame tactic/mechanic and ya, I use it all time too but just doesn't feel right. How does it not burn me when I pour it at my own feet? What they should nerf is oil pots (not NBs) - they are complete cheese in their current implementation. Oil pots should have a longer set up time for the amount of damage they do and the area they cover.
Sneaking in the open field and splashing a group with oil could never happen on a real battlefield. Oil should be reserved for chokepoints, which a longish setup time would ensure.

I will take it

Nothing breaks the invisiblity and cannot be targetted just like mist form.

As to the 90% of NB'S taking disguise I think that percentage is a lot lower especially now with the hundings and night mother armor set buffs. It's not uncommon for a bow or dual wield NB having 60% + crit chance before taking into account enemy keep bonuses and mundus stone choice (I'm sitting around 80% for bow and dual wield with my haderus buffs). Because of this the dot removal is probably the better morph now for cloak (can't tell you how many times I've been hit with oil or a fire balista and lived because of cloak). Sure the guaranteed crit is nice but the extra defense imo is far better.

Its funny that you think magelight can detect an NBs invisibility.
It is getting ridiculous. Nightblades are too powerful, being able to slip into invisibility without restriction upon any whim.
1. All actions (such as setting up a Siege Weapon) invoke a "timer." 5 seconds for a siege weapon. This leaves a person vulnerable while setting up siege weapons, and helps reduce the brainless tactic of oil pots everywhere.
2. When invisible is reused within 30 seconds of itself, it should cost 2x.
They start invisible, stealth up an oil pot, hit everyone with it, then right back to invisible again. Occasionally you will see a person "flicker" coming out of Invis long enough to attack and retreat.
Bolt Escape was nerfed, Bat Swarm was nerfed and now Nightblades need it. This is a fix.
@Samadhi I thought they nerfed the impen trait so you can't ridiculously stack it like that. I was always under the impression that people used infused and divines along with impen...I haven't run into many people, if any, who I don't get at least one crit hit in so I can't say stacking impen is as effective as it once was or I'm just not running into those people

You must just not be running into them.
I have 7 pieces of Impenetrable gear, and the values are still scaling the exact same as before.

I would think the only people that would run that would be DK's and templar tanks...basically anyone with heavy armor and i try to avoid them.

IDK...I guess I just like having that extra bit of stamina/magicka in my pools and extra crit damage by running divines with shadow stone...it's saved me quite a bit in terms of roll dodging or getting that extra cloak off to ensure safety. And who doesn't like doing just a little bit more damage every now and then?

I run a Nightstaff with 7 light armor pieces and I use impenetrable on all of the pieces. I also have impenetrable on my shield, which is my swap weapon. Even 8 pieces doesn't help against shadowy disguise users due to the massive buff to attainable crit in the recent patch. But it's still better than nothing.@Samadhi I thought they nerfed the impen trait so you can't ridiculously stack it like that. It's OP and defiantly needs a nerf.

Shadowy disguise users are one of my biggest threats. So whenever i see a medium armor user, I always use piercing mark.
