I got 3 crafting toons and each one of them already knows all motifs.
Whenever i find one now, i just drop it into the guild bank for someone else to use.
Ran for about two hours last night, got nothing. Maybe there's some secret hidden mechanics to combat relog farming? =/Maverick827 wrote: »How is it any more boring than farming without relogging?Because it's boring?Maverick827 wrote: »Why wouldn't you relog farm?

It's not as boring because I can break up farming runs with other things. I farm a specific area in one zone that happens to be right next to a wayshrine, hop to another zone and farm a small area, kill a bunch of mobs in that area because they tend to drop the mats that I need, wayshrine back to the original zone, go to the vendor, crafting stations, bank, and start the run again.
I only do a few runs at a time because I break it up by going back to older zones and finishing achievements, doing VR dungeons, Craglorn, or hit Cyrodiil.
btw, found an Imperial last night....

Really frustrating seeing all these stories of people getting rare recipes and motifs and they don't even want them other than to sell them, whereas Provisioners like me can't advance our craft to save our lives.
I need VR5 epic recipes =PMaverick827 wrote: »Ran for about two hours last night, got nothing. Send me a PM with your ID and what you still need and I might be able to hook you up, but I haven't been farming nearly as much as I was. I've been either giving away or vendoring most of the motifs and recipes that I've been finding. I've pretty much even stopped selling the rare motifs. I've either been giving them away to guildies or trading them for rare crafting mats.
I've seen no change in the spawn rate for Epic and Legendary Motifs. I've had only 1 Epic Motif and haven't seen the Imperial Motif drop since 5-day early access and I still don't get them now, but I don't "farm" them either. The flip side of this, the 1-9 Motifs have kind of become a plague tbh. I can't loot a single house with only 3-4 nightstands/dressers/trunks/etc without getting one. And the price just keeps dropping down and down to the point I saw someone asking 250g on NA a few days ago and as low as 500g on EU recently (EU was 1.5K each 2 weeks ago).
Join a crafting guild. We got many crafters in my main guild and the guild bank has tons of stuff in it, including recipes ...Maverick827 wrote: »Really frustrating seeing all these stories of people getting rare recipes and motifs and they don't even want them other than to sell them, whereas Provisioners like me can't advance our craft to save our lives.

Is that pure speculation or has it been confirmed by ZOS? It sounds like anecdotal evidence.Mountain_Dewed wrote: »You can find a rare motif and recipe in the same day but not the same in the same day. There is a 20 hour cool down(a guildy figured) on recipes and motifs are just super hard to find now.
I found a motif and a recipe in the same day but never the same of the same on the same day but 2 different of the same on separate days but the same will show on separate characters for the same item on that same day.
