even rarer motif drops on latest patch?

I've seen no change in the spawn rate for Epic and Legendary Motifs. I've had only 1 Epic Motif and haven't seen the Imperial Motif drop since 5-day early access and I still don't get them now, but I don't "farm" them either. The flip side of this, the 1-9 Motifs have kind of become a plague tbh. I can't loot a single house with only 3-4 nightstands/dressers/trunks/etc without getting one. And the price just keeps dropping down and down to the point I saw someone asking 250g on NA a few days ago and as low as 500g on EU recently (EU was 1.5K each 2 weeks ago).

    Why wouldn't you relog farm?
    Because it's boring?

I got 3 crafting toons and each one of them already knows all motifs.
Whenever i find one now, i just drop it into the guild bank for someone else to use.
    :)
How is it any more boring than farming without relogging?

It's not as boring because I can break up farming runs with other things. I farm a specific area in one zone that happens to be right next to a wayshrine, hop to another zone and farm a small area, kill a bunch of mobs in that area because they tend to drop the mats that I need, wayshrine back to the original zone, go to the vendor, crafting stations, bank, and start the run again.

I only do a few runs at a time because I break it up by going back to older zones and finishing achievements, doing VR dungeons, Craglorn, or hit Cyrodiil.

btw, found an Imperial last night....

ZOS, please remove junk weapons from container loot tables. Limit them to tables and racks only...window dressing. Thank you.

Ran for about two hours last night, got nothing. Maybe there's some secret hidden mechanics to combat relog farming? =/

Really frustrating seeing all these stories of people getting rare recipes and motifs and they don't even want them other than to sell them, whereas Provisioners like me can't advance our craft to save our lives.

Send me a PM with your ID and what you still need and I might be able to hook you up, but I haven't been farming nearly as much as I was. I've been either giving away or vendoring most of the motifs and recipes that I've been finding. I've pretty much even stopped selling the rare motifs. I've either been giving them away to guildies or trading them for rare crafting mats.

I found barbaric and primal in about a day in between each other. I also bought a daedric for 10K, but that is not really "finding" one

    I need VR5 epic recipes =P

I can get motifs to drop, just not as commonly as some people here seem to. You may have stopped selling them, bit I'd love to have a higher drop rate. Maybe I could sell enough of them to buy an epic recipe.

    LOL

I can't help but laugh. Do I have all of the "rare" motifs? Nope. I don't have a single one of the 11 - 14.

But at the same time I remember what true "farming" was like. Playing SWG and knowing that crystal drops with random stats were about 1% chance. Or playing WoW looking for truly rare loot drops when you new the drop rate was less that .01%.

This going through a couple of months without seeing any of these drops ... this is nothing compared to those "rare" drop rates.

I know lots of SWG players who never saw the first crystal drop. And WoW players who never found a dragon egg.

I agree with you. At one point I had 4 of the same "common" motif. It has gotten to the point where I almost don't even loot them any more. They don't sell for squat.

Join a crafting guild. We got many crafters in my main guild and the guild bank has tons of stuff in it, including recipes ...

It's impossible to find more than one purple thing motif or recipe per day even in one day if you find some. The game is programmed like that now. That's why they divided stuff into green, blue and purple.

Is that per character or account?

I run two characters, a VR3 DK and VR3 Sorc. Over the last month and a half, I have not found one single racial motif. And I try to loot every Nightstand, wardrobe, desk, dresser, urn, or whatever I can find that might produce one. It's also been the same for my wife who has a VR3 NB. Up until then, I was getting one once in awhile, even if most of the time they were dupes. So yes, I would say that they did nerf motif drops, badly. Either that, or the both of us are incredibly unlucky. No Vegas trips for us! :)

You can find a rare motif and recipe in the same day but not the same in the same day. There is a 20 hour cool down(a guildy figured) on recipes and motifs are just super hard to find now.
I found a motif and a recipe in the same day but never the same of the same on the same day but 2 different of the same on separate days but the same will show on separate characters for the same item on that same day.

Is that pure speculation or has it been confirmed by ZOS? It sounds like anecdotal evidence.
