[BUG] Magma Armour Bug

After 1.3.3 as a DK tank I switched back to heavy armour and started using Magma armour again (Using the Corrosive morph) for tanking purposes. It worked fine for a couple of days, then at some point it bugged out and started doing 1/6th of the damage it was supposed to and is stated on the tooltip and skill description. For other it has been fluctuating, sometimes working and sometime not, but for me it got stuck in low damage mode, making the ultimate rather undesirable at this time.

    My DK has this ultimate and morph. How did you test this?

    Mine went from 400 damage a tick for 10 seconds after the patch, and the next day (and today) it does like 30. It's really not worth it. If it lasted a lot longer, I'd be okay with the crap damage, but for an ultimate, if feels pretty lame.

    Tested with CLS and Recount. But the damage drop is so significant you dont need an addon to test. You can actually see the difference in speed while killing mobs.

    I know I'm going to get raged on for saying this - but the ultimate deals fire damage, are you sure the reduced damage you are seeing is not just to do with certain mobs having a good amount of fire resistance?

    This might be completely wrong assumption, but what if the bug is with the tooltip and not the actual damage-tick?
    Have you checked if the damage is back to the one it used to do prior the 1.3 (which is what i think is supposed to be) since after that patch lots of ultimates got broken eg Soul tether? So basically Zos has fixed the damage somehow but forgot to fix the tooltip?

    You are not going to get raged. Tested in over 20 different dormers, so it is not related to fire resistance.

    I hear you about the tooltip, but 66 damage each sec for 8 seconds would be too low for an ultimate to be true. Especially since ultimates will now scale off stamina and weap damage.

    It seems it is on the list of fixes zos has, but it didn't go live on 1.3.4. I do hope it gets fixed soon enough as it is a better tanking choice than the banner.

    It was actually ticking around 60 pre -patch and that was the intended amount from ZoS, I believe.
    Magma armor was supposed to be a purely defensive ultimate and not to offer offensive benefits higher than the Shifting Standard, for example. Post patch many ultimates appear broken ( eg Soul tether) , as they cause a lot more damage that what they used to and the forums are full with posts pointing this. They have been warned by this by PTS testers by they still haven't fixed it and went on with patching regardless.

    The reason they were ticking for more after patch, is because they were scaling off stamina builds too in an effort to make stamina builds more attractive. 480 damage for any kind of ultimate is just too low. All other ultimates do over 2k whether defensive or offensive. Veil of blades is a great example even pre-patch.
