I never said I was 50, I am 43 in september though since I have three teenagers I sometimes feel much older.
And who are you to call BS? You don't want to be helpful then go find another thread to poop in.

YAY! I am so glad that we are not alone. I play at least one of every class on NA. Feel free to say hi and maybe we can go stomp and die on a few things. lol
I plan to make some on EU when I can so wherever you are (and any other like minded folk) well..there you are? ha ha
I also am going to do some RP soon so if anyone is up for that too.
*grin*

As an alpha male in his 30's I echo many sentiments posted in this thread. First off I refuse to play certain cookie-cutter builds, which are ridiculous from either real-life or RP point of view. That's why I play my Dragon knight (note the word "knight" in the class name) as a true warrior, not as some kind of a milk-drinking cross-dresser with a stick. If this halves my DPS output, so be it. That said - I don't expect to be carried and fully acknowledge that at least in this MMO the end-game will probably be out of my reach.
Second off I am quite often that guy standing in the dark waiting for the cavalry to arrive to take down a boss instead of actively asking for help in different chat channels. Maybe this has something to do with a fact, that I try to avoid bugging people for help in real life as well. Sometimes I have waited close to an hour for an unknown fellow adventurer to lend a hand
Third off - all gamers 60+ I salute you!

You'd be surprised, most of us true TES fans are easily over 30. Inf act most of the TES modders for Oblivion and Skyrim are over 40. TES is a game made for adults. And although they have quite a number of younger players, the hardcore fan populace is well aged.

I dont doubt that really many are between the 30-40´s really, but so much people 50+ and way more? I find that highly unlikely. In game I have met 6 ppl claiming they are between 59 -72 years old, and i dont buy it. perhaps someone has been that old, thats not impossible. but all, and that so many of the "minor" population that is claimed to find this forum and further more use it? No. i stay doubtful to that.

Just curious, what do you think people are getting out of "lying" on a gaming forum about their ages to make them seem older? Besides a teenager lying about being older to be able to drink or smoke, I just don't see what the benefit would be to these folks on this forum. I'm not trying to bash you or anything, I'm just genuinely curious as to why it's so unbelievable to you.
Yeah that is what I wonder aswell, perhaps as a way to add weight to their words or something? As i said before, I can believe that that there are players that are that old, just not the numbers of them presented on here. its highly improbable.
I am 50, have all my reflexes as well as 35 years of gaming knowledge, and would thrash Raash in gaming. At that point Raash, due to the shear embarrassment of losing to an old guy, you would have no option but to off thy self.

I'm going to assume you're of the younger generation (which is fine). I apologize ahead of time if I'm making an assumption here, but it almost sounds as though you think older people just would not be into gaming. If that's the case, I can understand your disbelief (bear with me here).
When I was a teenager and in my 20s, (I'm 42, by the way), I always thought "older" people didn't do anything. They had no interests. They just watched TV or read the newspaper. LOL. The older I get, the more I realize I'm still the same person with the same interests and the same personality for the most part that I had back in my 20s. Sometimes I don't even feel like an adult (besides some aches and pains now and then).
My mom is 78. For the longest time, I treated her like a frail older woman with no personality, watching everything I said around her, not wanting to upset her, not really having any meaningful conversations with her because I "couldn't relate." One day for whatever reason, I mentioned to her about how I felt like I wasn't getting any older besides in just years, that I didn't feel any different, that I sometimes didn't even feel like an adult. In a rather exasperated way, she said to me that you will still be the same person (again, for the most part) in your older life as you were in your younger life. She says she feels the same way. After that is when I really got to know my mom. She's not old at all! Sometimes she giggles over things I used to think would be inappropriate for an "older woman" to giggle over, etc. It was really eye-opening.
So anyway, very long story short, if you're disbelief is because you don't think "older" people enjoy the same things you do, I hope I contributed a bit to helping you think of them in a different way. I know I no longer am "afraid" of getting older and turning into someone with no personality or interests. I'm going to be who I am today, which is just fine by me. And I will still be playing games in whatever form they are in the future.
Sure, your apology is accepted since I think your really went way off into space with that essey you brought. Fun and somewhat a good read tho. And no harm intended, i bet you just want to help out.
The thing is: is it really likely that so many 50-70 years old are playing this game and let alone camping the forums? In my world no. And i know that you you guys dont think anyone would come up with fantasy age numbers, while I for sure think lots of people does.
