Ive done the speed challenges with 3 medium/stam DPS' for most of the dungeons, he's obviously a neckbeard. Especially nowadays with Stams buffs. Now I will say that I refuse to PUG with anyone attempting to use a 2h or a 2h AND heavy armor... For DPS... NEVER again... Ive also PUG'd with a "DPS" with sword and board and medium... Once again... NEVER again. Some things work... Some don't... PUGs suck, becuz you have no idea of the caliber of the player, some are just horrid.
Dnt change ur spec for people that like either play the way u want, as long as you know boss fights i dnt see the big deal even if it was slightly lower dps, people still scream at tanks for not picking up every agro on a mob, they still think they are playing wow me thinks

oh I wont I love my bow/dw NB and yeah its not hard to bring adds to the tank lol. The best is when they run away from the tank and group and wonder why they die.
Ah you mean "rather than" i dnt know what this crap is about cloth and staves, ive got vet 7 sorc cloth and stave and found that using bow and medium much better so i rolled nightblade for the weap, stam buffs i dnt understand people still staying stam builds suck, maybe heavy but duel is okie and bow is just pawnage, stam lasts much longer than magika, it a stupid debate
Indeed, well said.
more people need to tell folks to ******* u can mix and match any weap any armor and skill, you need to know how to play thats all.
Haha yeah but when u ain't using aoe pulse spam its a bit of a give away

I disagree with this. Some "builds" are not viable. For instance, templar with all healing spells and two hander in heavy armor... If you think that is sufficient, then SURE you try running a vet dungeon with him as your "healer". There are TONS of viable builds, but there is that percentage of the population who has no clue what they are doing, and don't feel bad at all for not wanting to group with them. Ive been through enough hour long wipe fests due to subpar players.
I don't always pug, but when I do...
I tell them I'm in all medium with a two hander
They reject me
I link my speedrun achievements
Laugh when they beg me to join.
People are unimaginative and stubborn. My guildie remembers when people were saying the sorc was trash, then he laughed all the way to the bank when it turned out he had planned the op sorc build well in advance. Same with my templar friend. He's roasting DKs in PvP daily.
I mean, even pro and semi pro gamers get trashed when they go against the meta they themselves established. Don't let things like this get to you.

That sounds good and all, on paper. Still, all it really proves is that you were able to get the achievement. Now I am not saying this is what happened, but you COULD have simply been carried by a good group to get that, easilly as having a viable stamina build.
I challenge anyone to address the issues I raise in this thread. ALL class skills scale off spell damage and magicka. I don't care how you slice the pie, melee/stamina users get the crumbs.
Magicka users with light armor and staff can dump all their resource points into magicka and spell power and max both their class and weapon abilities, while stamina/weapon damage users have to split and end up gimping both.
Medium armor is nice for weapon crit, but you can get as much or more from magic crit sets and one Mage's Guild ability.
At the end of the day, achievements that require a group matter less than build-for-build DPS numbers. Right now, melee/stamina/weapon damage builds can't touch magicka/spell power builds for DPS, even after the latest 1.3.3 changes.
Go to a site like Tamriel Foundry where people parse the combat logs and collect actual DATA on this to see for yourself.
I'm not saying don't play the way you want. You should. I am still stubbornly refusing to give up on my DW/Bow medium armor NB. But the sad fact is, we are badly gimped by the class mechanics.
