Known Issues for Update 3

    Multiple people in my guild are crashing in Cyrodiil due to a memory leak.

    During the last fight near Alessia (Chillrend EU) memory climbed at a rate of about 64MB/minute (1GB every 16 minutes). This perfmon graph ends as the game crashes (at the x86 3.7GB working set limit) - the memory climb is clearly visible:

    The game doesn't start off with this memory usage pattern, it only occurs after some fighting. Once it's going it seems to keep climbing even if there is little activity around the player and continues after loading screens (i.e. respawns).

    All plugins disabled. Repair done in the launcher.

    ZOS what's going on? Every time something is added or changed it creates a list of major bugs. I mean major. We haven't been able to access our guild bank for two days now. The nightblade class seems to get worse with every "fix". I know you guys are testing these things because I follow the test servers. I am starting to lose faith that we can get any reliable content update. I would really love to play my nightblade and I was optimistic that I would be able to after update 3 but I am starting to think that's not the case.

    I'm also a bit annoyed that you keep changing the game and breaking the addons. This would not be something I would even complain about except that you left the UI so bare that we are forced to download and use them. The entire thing needs an overhaul. Inventory management is horrible without the use of addons and the character screen tells us very little about our character like individual resists for instance. I love the addons that the community makes but I hate that with every update I have to deactivate them until the updates come out or suffer a huge box telling me every update that's not working. I had to go through and reset the settings for all of my addons again yesterday. And while I'm on the subject is there a reason a "dismiss all" button was not included for that notification?

    These are not just minor annoyances they literally make the game unplayable or at least very tedious to play.

    as for the addons--just check allow outdated addons until the makers of the addons can apply a fix. i personally use Minion addon manager (DL from esoui.com) and it checks them automatically for me

    Yeah... I know there are other large priorities but I'd still like to see a properly-featured stock UI :(. Add-ons are really a bandaid fix by the community to keep up-to-date still. I've harped on this a lot in the past, though, so... :). Overall I love the way the game is going both direction and updates planned/launched, but the UI could use some love for sure including options WITHOUT addons like (and yes I know many of these can be achieved with them):

    -Stock inventory text search and subcategories
    Third-person field of view and max camera zoom distance adjustments
    -More descriptive guild trade house emails including things like what item sold and to who
    -Items stacking to 500 or 999 or similar instead of 100 in most cases (runes stack to 200 now which is great, but I have thousands of other materials that don't stack past 100 which is a hassle).
    -A notification sound option for when someone whispers you (when scrolled up only, or always).
    -Minimap option (though granted the addon works very well for this, and it is a larger item to add in and thus not necessarily worth the resources straight away such as others in this list).
    -Ability to move UI elements individually such as your health bar, etc.
    -Grid view for inventory instead of the big list.
    -Having more than one main "screen" open at a time instead of just your journal/achievements, or just your character sheet, etc.
    -Morphs being shown for abilities even when un-trained.
    -Text options for health/magicka/stam bars (total amount/amount remaining/percentage remaining/etc.).
    -Chat timestamp display (before each message).

    Not meant to be a comprehensive list but more of a generally-agreeable Quality of Life off-the-top-of-my-head quick drop.
    -First-Wave Closed Beta Tester of the Psijic Order, aka the 0.016 percent.
    Exploits suck. Don't blame just the game, blame the players abusing them!

    -Playing since July 2013, back when we had a killspam channel in Cyrodiil and the lands of Tamriel were roamed by dinosaurs.

    -In-game mains abound with "Nerf" in their name. As I am asked occasionally, I do not play on anything but the PC NA Megaserver at this time.

    When you kill a mob, it seams their HP is not always going down. They just die from full HP sometimes.

    I have no addons. Never had a problem. This is the first I think.

    Anyone else see HP on mobs not going down "All" the time?

    Looks like its UI, cause they do die.

    Edit: There was a server "twitch", throw everyone out I think.
    When I got back. Mob HP works fine. Bow works as well.

    Thank you ESO for completely screwing up the combat game play with this new patch. Magnum Shot is completely broken. There is no knockback at all when fired at enemies nor are they disorented. Enemy health bars remain full red when using the bow against them so the player does not know how much damage is being inflected. Then all of a sudden they will drop dead after a few seconds. Do you test these patches out before you implement them? Magnum shot was working fine prior to the patch. I even disabled all addons to check if they were the problem. Sorry they were not.

    Just curious. Why doesn't Zeni launch hot fixes to address critical issues instead of waiting for scheduled server maintenance? I know with other games I play like Warframe for example, use hotfixes to address game breaking bugs that are usually associated with updates and such.

    I have to ask if this is just me: Does anyone else with soul shatter, level 1 or 2 not actually explode on death? or was there a change I didn't hear about where it only happens in PVP areas? Because while I never die in Cyrodiil (because I'm never in Cyro), I do die occasionally in PVE only areas and never have the soul explosion anymore

    The new vendor (Eyes the Path) at the Merchant House at the North Morrowind Gate is missing. She displays on the tooltip when I hover over the Merchant House icon on the map; but she is nowhere to be found. The comparable merchants for AD and DC are present which puts EP at a disadvantage given that her wares are exclusive. See this thread for more details.

    not sure but i did read in another thread that they do drop bait if you are under lvl 5...

    I cannot load a working staff at all. No staff visual (still shows my bow) and it fires (staff 'glow') down between my legs and cannot raise it. I cannot use ANY staff! VR9, Nightblade Khajitt if that matters. Please fix this soon.

    UPDATE: If I load my staff, then exit back to launcher and start again my staff works ! (But I know I better not switch weapons while in the game. Change/exit/restart to change weapons is not good )/

    Sigh...they finally fix green and blue fish looting, but then break the bait. Honestly, how are we supposed to get our fishing achievements without any guts?! No wonder the chickens in Malabal Tor were celebrating...

    Achievement bugs.

    Barbaric motif has been renamed to "The Reach" correct?

    1. I have all the racial styles, "Learn any Racial Styles" is unlocked. But "Rare Style Master" achievement is not unlocked.
    2. Refinement and Deconstructor achievements are starting at 0? What happens to crafts that has already reached 50 and no longer requires deconstruction? I have to waste all the gold from selling to deconstructing again???

    Lots of dyes are available to players who didn't complete the achievement,

    how was this even possible?
    More to the point, why does it matter?

    as it is a "new" feature, the fact that dyes that are related to achievements are available to everyone even if the achievement is not complete does make everything worthless, could just have the dyes in game without the achievements restrictions.
    That would be a great idea! People should learn to play content for the fun of it, not because they're bribed to by 'rewards' that need to be 'earned'.

    This dye system's implementation simply panders to the 'achievers'.

    @GFBStarWars‌ I can't tell if you are for or against the achievement system being tied into dyeing.

    @fromtesonlineb16_ESO‌ aside from the achievement requirement it's entirely free. No mats, no money, and you only need to unlock it on one character per account. I think you can manage doing a little work.
    I 'work' at my place of employment .. I guess many here aren't employed .. I don't feel the need to 'work' playing a game, I don't 'achieve' anything of note in a game I do plenty of that in real-life.

    After 7 crashes in PVP, I logged off.. I really like this game but it gets old. I can deal with nerf/buffs/mechanics gripes but the fatal crashes just suck the fun out of getting creative with skills in combat.

    Yup. Right now they count as regular mobs so if you out-level them you no longer get drops. I'm just curious if this is intended or a bug/unintended change.

    The game crashes very frequently in PVP.

    I thought it was just me at first but all of my party members are complaining the same problem.

    I hope you can fix this the soonest possible.

    1. The achievement "Aldmeri Skyshard Hunter" should be renamed to "Dominion Skyshard Hunter" to align with the other 2 faction's achievements (Cyrodiil).
    2. Now that the starter island fishing achievements have been fixed (thanks a lot), they should be moved to their respective factions. For example, "Kenarthi's Roost Angler" should be required to get the "Dominion Fisherman". As it is now, the starter Islands fall directly under the Master Fisherman, as if they belong to all factions equally.
    3. As of 1.3.3 it is no longer possible to loot guts and crawlers from critters (rats, lizards, spiders...). I'm running low on bait!
    4. Thanks you for finally letting rare fish go into our inventory (it wasn't in the patch notes!). Though, the green fish still have 0 value. Would you mind fixing that?
    5. Fishing with other people: I catch something and look at the loot window. Then another person catches something and depletes the fishing hole with his catch. As a result, my loot window is instantly cloed without the catch registering for me. It's really annoying, especially when fishing in a big group.

    All these issues have been reported ingame as well. I can understand, that they may not be high priority at the moment, but maybe you have an intern who needs something to do other than fetching coffee. ;)

    After logging in and crashing twice in the first 10 minutes, (used to crash every few hours, black screen but could still hear and do stuff in the back ground) I finally updated my graphics card and it did not crash in 8 hours :)... Really enjoying the game again.

    Regarding the Crashes. I've been having the same issue.


    It DOES crash every 30-40 min (in pvp).
    The fun part...i'm usually in middle of a fight.
