Yes it does. It has happened in every update. And once you turn on your Addons, you will find many of them are giving errors. Bazgrim's toolbar is totally broken right now, but I am having errors from at least six addons.

I suspect this is something we are going to have to live with. These addon problems arise because each new game feature results in changes to function names and/or handles or whatever.

This will always happen. It happens in every MMO, or game with addons. When they change the files the addons no longer work. It can't be fixed, and complaining to Zenimax about non support add ons probably isn't going to get you very far.

Wait for them to update the addon , download and install the update. Most add ons allow you to save a profile. Once you have the updated add on turn the profile on and everything should be fine.

If you're not prepared to deal with this problem then don't use add-ons, it's simple.

There's also the usual problem with DisplayName - when guild functionality is disabled, so is the DisplayName.

Most (but not all) of the add-ons rely on the DisplayName to save data into the SavedVariables file. So if the guilds are disabled, these particular addons lose their settings.

Other addons are designed to bypass this problem (for example, Garkin's).

Some addons seem to store/save data better than others too. Unsure of why/where... likely in the way the addon records information.

You might contact the Addon creator and see if they can update/fix this issue themselves.

in truth... ZOS and most MMORPG developers don't care about addon functionality when the game updates. They usually have a whole:

"Addons are your responsibility, we take no precautions when it comes to them. We love to blow them up just to see you cry, and if you have a favorite addon we will be sure to break it as thoroughly as possible with the next patch. By clicking yes to this agreement, you are allowing ZOS to tie your addons up and beat them senseless as much as possible."

The authors of the most popular add-ons are generally clued into the testing process, so many will have already updated their add-ons. That being said, several that I use were updated, but still don't work - so we'll just have to wait for that all to be ironed out.

You have to update most add-ons with every patch. That's true of add-ons for other games, and also for TES mods that use scripting.

The point is , i hope they modders have updates for most of them today heh :P.

Most of the addons I run that are broken are related to crafting and saved data I have for managing all my alt crafters and mules. I actually cannot quest with these addons loaded (I can eek out an extra 5 frames per second without them). Bags and banks change while I am questing and without the addons on the saved variable files don't get updated. So I periodically erase the saved variables files and reload each toon individually.
I will go do this right now before the guild hot fix goes live.

Every MMO, Every time it updates your addons will be out of date. You can download managers to make this easier but its really not that much of a biggie and is expected when you mod the game.
