Love the fact we can change the colors of our armor now but wish they would have left the stock stuff alone. My crafted blue set of Altmer Calcinium heavy armor went from a goldish color to a nice shade of dog puke yellow! Granted I'm rocking black and metallic green now which I love but still would have been nice to have my original colors stay the same.

Well to be fair you cant really tell by tone. For example 90% of your post in this thread read total troll tone, and yet you appear to be serious.

Contrary to popular opinion, not all women like pink.
Most men do, they just don't like to admit it in public ...

My standard armor changed and not for the better. The original armor was the medium High Elf lvl 50 set and it was a slate color. When I logged in after the update most of it was frog crap green! I know they made changes to the standard armor colors in this patch so I dyed it and changed it to something I liked. :)

Please, give her a break! I'm female too and I think it's ugly.

@Islyn : I just went in game and looked at the colors. You might want to look at Fighter's Guild Red, which is available for just joining the fighters guild. It's not the same but it's better than the pink.

Also, once you color armor, it's bound to you and you cannot give it away apparently. Or sell it, so there's no market for selling black armor.

OP is way overreacting, there are like 10 dye's very close if not indistinguishable from the color he had before and there's no way he wouldn't have 1 of them.

    WTF?????????!!!!

I have logged today (EU server) and my armor is pink too! The Honour's Guardian armor for example has gone some kind of dark pink/purple!!

Not as pink as the OP armor, but you can clearly see there is more pink tone!

I would have more sympathy if they hadn't just put the dye system in, giving you the ability to change it. I'm sorry that they don't have your exact shade of red and that you scorn the entire rest of the color palette, but this thread is just embarrassing.

I fail to see a problem. If you don't like the color, then change it.

**** If you're telling the OP to "just dye it" read this ****

It's not as easy as that. It's not as if you can select the color you want with a hex code or even a color range. You have to unlock colors by achievements. So my level 10 toon which has gotten every achievement available to her in questing still doesn't have a scarlet or a blood red or a black.

And while the colors tell you what achievements are needed to unlock them, many are tied to PvP achievements or other group achievements. The point is, not every color is available!

And since the dyed armor is then bound to the player, you can't even have someone dye something for you and give it to you.

So the OP may have an option between a color she doesn't like and one she likes only slightly better - which really isn't a choice at all.

She ABSOLUTELY did say in a post that she liked the specific way it WAS, and additionally this is a set she spent some piece of time working at getting etc.

Whether she MIGHT have wanted to dye it today after the patch and in fact can dye it, has no relation to her having all the achievements she in fact needs in order to dye it BACK very similar to its original. While a lot of us are jazzed about the dyes finally coming in - there are also many who like the muted browns and various green tones etc and feel its more in line with their ESO 'setting'.

That is her point...she wants to have what she had originally and THEN to decide or have the CHOICE to decide to run to one of the dye stations, experiment and/or see if what she MIGHT WANT TO DYE IT TO aligns with what achievements she's gotten or if she might have to make goals of heading out to get other achievements.

Really. Very simple to understand, heh.

To be fair, the OP is VR12. I'm sure she already unlocked many good colors - and as a vampire in AD, she has a choice of much sought-after blacks and whites. She'll manage. Pre-veteran characters will have a bigger problem.

Really. Very simple to understand, heh. I also wonder if the whole 'she' thing wasn't brought in here whether the degradation and insinuations would be exactly the same toward an assumed 'male' gamer. Not liking the fact that the armor one wore yesterday is no longer the same today is not a gender-biased argument.

I hope the op can in fact find some appealing dye colors for her armor which she does have achievements already earned for.

(*) GL Islyn...you've earned that set, you deserve to have it the colors you want like everyone else.

    Few things...

First, you can't use those two colors as an example since the original color of the armor didn't use those colors to begin with.

Second, The OP is obviously much higher than level 10, and most likely started with many many more dye colors from having several achievements already cleared.

Third, you're grossly over exaggerating the limited availability of dye colors.

Colour correction tech was added this patch. Dive into your graphics settings and make changes. How your pc renders colours can be different than others. There is a reason there are dozens of settings to tweak.

This game is getting some pretty advanced lighting systems and time of day and what light hitting your armor can also change it's appearance just like in real life.

Doesn't really have much to do with the op but since it will be several more hours before i can check, i thought i read that although the dye unlocks are achievement based, once unlocked they were unlocked for all your characters. Or is this not right?

Im just curious because people were throwing out this level 10 thing.
