Looks pretty wobbly from where I sit.

MMOs...they throw you curves sometimes. Could always be worse like a major nerf to your class or a character that goes corrupt. Dyeing armor, well, that's not the end of the world.

As for my armor? Well, see, I'm not all that concerned with "look" as I am with "effective". If I can get both? Hurrah! Otherwise, I'm not fussy about the details.

ETA: This reminds me of an option in other MMOs, a "robe" that you could toss over your armor for those "exploded Skittles box" phases we go through with armor. Since there's really not as much "cue" from what armor someone's wearing in TESO, can't imagine there'd be objections.

Yes. It is called PTS and I am utterly familiar with the dyes.

This is MUCH WORSE than what they did to my stuff at Craglorn.

Regarding the post-processing color correction, does that mean the armor was pink all along, but no one could see how pink it was before?

I hope the settings help those of you who didn't want pink armor. A piece of me wonders though if the devs are funning with us just a little.

I picked these pieces SPECIFICALLY for their looks and because the REDGUARD TOP matched my DUNMER AND my DUNMER HEAVY top for PVP.

I don't care what anything anywhere says; slightly changed does not equal dark burnished red = salmon pink.

I am quite sure that every color available in the game will be found in the dye system.
So just look for the dye you had before and unlock it.

Whether OP is having a wobbler or not, isnt the point, I personally would hate pink armour and think most people would want their armour to look the way they want it to be, its how legends are born:P

I also think some of us would be seething if it were us, ask yourself honestly, if it was something that you personally cared about, as OP obviously and understandably does.

Stop worrying about how "fair" it is, fix it, and move on. It's not even that hard a fix, judging by Dulfy's guide to armor dyes.

It's not the first time colors have gotten screwed up, but with dyes it should be the last. You can even upgrade those pieces all the way to Legendary now without worry because you can get all the colors to match properly with dyes.

Actually looks much better than your former colouring if I dare say so. I expected to see some kind of pink horror, which it is definitely not. Keep it and fall in love.
