I picked one of the lower ranks so it would be accesable to all, a little effort needs to be made but then again a little effort needed to be made to get to the endgame pve area aswell right?smeeprocketnub19_ESO wrote: »I actually like this idea, tbh. Make it a reward for those that regularly pvp. Tyro is not particularly hard to get either.
so everything should just be handed over then? why not just hand out purple equipment or rare motifs to everyone who starts the game then? after all there is arbitrary gates to get into craglorn(you have to earn vr1)No arbitrary gates to enter content please, especially one as meaningless as rank.
Ruze is a veteran of the PC Beta, lived through the year one drought, survived the buy-to-play conversion, and has stepped foot in the hells known as Craglorn. He mained a nightlbade when nightblades weren't good, and has never worn a robe. He converted from PC during the console betas, and hasn't regretted it a moment since.
He'd rank ESO:TU (in it's current state) a 4.8 out of 5, loving the game almost entirely.

Plus, I do think there is some PvP in the sewers getting to the zones, and in the zones themselves. At least that's what I gathered from the event and transcripts.

Everyone PvEs, not everyone PvPs. Forcing people to PvP to access PvE content is not a good idea as you shut out those who only want to PvE.

you don't like pvp anyway. Therefore, it won't affect you.
I think the Imperial city should require at least tyro rank to enter, this is due to the fact that it is a pve zone(with some pvp in it) that is earned through the capture and owning of keeps by your alliance. No one should be able to ride on others coat tails into this zone, If you wish to enter it you should have to earn it.
There-fore the tyro rank should be required to enter the city, this discourages those that would just hop into cyrodill to participate for the imperial city and have never actually fought to get it, tyro is the third rank in the pvp acheivements and is not to far up in the list of ranks, but you still have to do a good ammount of pvp to get it.
If you want this content you should have to earn it like in craglorn where to get there you had to be atleast vet 1. Pls Zos dont spoon feed this or just hand it out make us earn it .

Well the idea behind this PVE / PVP dungeon is to attract PVE players aswell. You want them helping you to get it. Once you do gain control, you get to clear the enemy players out, then the PVP is pretty much over, you will then leave unless you want to stay and PVE, there will probably be some good reason like unque gear and sets and such to farm for.
You want enemy 'PVE" players in there for you to kill when you gain access because enemy PVP players arent gunna be a big population inside doing PVE they wil ahve already came back out to Cyrodiil.

First of all, nice bump on your own thread.... second of all just because you PVP more doesn't mean you "earned" it. Maybe you weren't even the one that helped captures the surrounding keeps to gain access. Lets everyone go into it. Seems like a bad idea to alienate people from it.

we don't really need their help. PVE'ing isn't exactly challenging. I'm sure the pvp'rs of the game can handle it. thanks though.
I assure you, pvp'rs will hang around for the pve, the rewards will be worth it. I know I will personally use the crafting stations as soon as possible, and will happily do the dungeons.

You don't even know the ranks... It's lieutenant after first sergeant and general is acquired MUCH later in the game (rank 40 something)
I doubt this will go through, but I don't care either way.

Just curious if you played Darkage of Camelot? they added a dungeon named Darkness Falls which is almost idenicle to this Imperial City system. when ever another alliance took control they went into to clear out the enemy then 90% left back to the frontiers (Cyrodiil). The dungeon was still fun and worth the clearing out rush but only people leveling up, farming for gear, or PVE style raid people really used it for PVE, the majority of PVPers went back to the main war outside.
Sure there is stuff to do, but trust me, you want the PVErs in there because they are most of the kills when you get to clear it out.
After a while when most of the PVPers obtain what they need from inside there wont be reason for them to hang around and miss the PVP goin on outside so you need a PVE population in as targets or there will start to be no excite ment to take control of it because noone is inside.
I watched this system for 10 years on DAOC

It's not pve content. It's pvp content that has pve in it. It has to be earned, why should people that refuse to help earn it have access to it?
