Is this achievement broken or just kinda epic? It seems like it could be just kinda epic but I dunno for sure. One of my guildees said it's broken so I decided to post a customer support question see if I get an answer. It's in the veteran dungeons achievement tab. I would like a response to know if it's just silly to continue with this achievement 'cuz if it's broken. Cheers!
Oh yeah! The issue with it is that very few "spiders" killed
count toward the achievement. Maybe too few. That's why the concern. It's a Veteran Fungal Grotto achievement. Is that enough information? Thx!

✭Most of the 'kill' veteran achievements you can get after about 5-6 runs but this achievement looks like it takes 20 runs as I get only about 6 kills per run.

TeraAngelos✭✭✭If this is like any of the non-dungeon slayer achievements, you only get credit if you get the killing blow on the spider, which may explain why there's less credit than you're expecting.0 -

Remember, too....on a lot of these "kill" achievements, you have to get the killing blow.
I do not like this mechanic.
Out of countless Wayrest runs, I only register 5 bone colossus kills. I should have my 40 by now, but as a healer, I rarely score the killing blow.
Hey, Zenimax, remember this? "Everyone in your group will receive credit."
Well, where is my credit for the kills my group makes as I keep them alive???

Soot✭✭From my experiment and experience it looked like it wasn't a killing blow kinda thing. That only the 1st spider boss and then the 3 pets of that spider-lady-shepherd counted so that's 4 from a run, and at least 3 people in the group were checking the numbers. So it's not a for-sure thing but we're pretty sure.1

ssfiit✭✭✭Yea, I did Vet FG several times and my count for arachnid kills is 11. Another question is does the count only add up in FG. The achievement states that the spider needs to be killed in Vet FG, so I will not get credit if I kill a spider somewhere else. This is gonna take a long time, these dungeon are pretty challenging. And that's just the spider achievement.
I understand about the "making the final blow" concept for a Boss kill to get a better chance at the loot table or more exp. But these are just regular mobs. If there are only 4 spider in the dungeon and it require a 4-man team to run it. Then depending on who actually kill the spider. It's not like we have to plan this out where "Hey, let that sorc kill all the spider." Even the normal spider is pretty hard, it's a group effort to actually kill the damn spider. Soot✭✭OK well just went to fungal grotto again and asked everyone in the group. I must say that 4 per fungal grotto run is more than just a hypothesis..... Is it just epic? is it broke? how's a subscriber to know? (*) 0
