Hi all,
I ultimately feel like the only response for this post is “welcome to the club” but I have to ask…
So, after going through beta testing and initial subscription, I decided to cancel my account a few months ago until certain bugs were worked out. I decided this week to come back in hopes of playing again and renewed my subscription. Unfortunately, I am consistently running into new problems that hinder my ability to enjoy myself.
While I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with OS, I'm currently using the Mac version and have no problem with any other game. When playing ESO however, there seems to be a severe problem with lag/latency (not sure which is the technical term to use). Doesn't matter what time of day it is. For instance, when I hit a key or mouse button, there is a noticeable delay with what occurs on-screen. Half of the time when the action does occur on-screen, there is no animation even though the action still occurs (spells, picking up objects, etc). Sometimes the world itself just "pauses", i.e. players stop moving, or worse, it just stops responding (can't open doors, chests, etc). And then sometimes I get kicked from server with an "Unknown Error". When I log back in, my character has been killed from an enemy that respawned.
Further, while I'm not sure if it's related to the above, another problem I have is a delay of the mouse/cursor and the camera. For example, when I talk to a random NPC or open my inventory or even hit ESC to open options menu and then go back to the game, there is a delay of several seconds where my mouse movement is just the cursor and does not control the camera as it should. I have to move my character using the keyboard for the game to switch/activate back to camera mode.
This is beyond tedious and frustrating.
At first, I thought it could be a problem with my CPU/GPU/RAM/hardware/etc but the game consistently runs fine at 35-40 fps. It doesn't dip or fluctuate. I've checked and there seems to be no problem with my internet connection. I can play any other MMO just fine. So, I am left scratching my head wondering if I came back too soon and wasted more money on a game that I should love as a long time Elder Scrolls fan, but cannot since it seems so "broken."

I know Zenimax is trying to fix as many bugs as they can and I really want to see this game succeed. I have searched everywhere for answers and have found none. I am now asking anyone if there is any type of solution available for me to fix this problem or any indication that this will be fixed in the near future. Please help. I really don't want to play GW2 or Wildstar.
Thank you.
