The specific boss the OP is referring to is one of the hardest Quest bosses in the game. Only Manimarco, the Harvester boss (pre-nerf) and the Imperial lady at the end of DC are harder imo. But just like with others, once you learn the mechanic of the fight they really aren't THAT hard, just compared to the faceroll easy the rest of the content is they still SEEM hard.Considering how much vet content was nerfed this last patch, the existence of this thread absolutely baffles me.
Nothing should be 'hard as hell' in my gaming book. Now I'm stuck trying to kill Vox. Believe me I can not imagine how 'easy' she must be to kill.
ZOS, if you don't want me playing Solo past getting my soul back at the end of AD just say so and I'm out of here? If I leave now it will only be a $15 loss with a lot of the game being a lot of fun and eventually worth $75. If you want me to hang around just clue me in how much longer and maybe I will? What do you ZOS want me to do?
Hardcore gamers can once again go take a hike--Wait, that may not be a good idea--especially if they know a way of dealing with this situation such as how an AD faction member can attract EP help in PvE?
I have no problem with him playing that way, but he shouldn't complain about it. Not fair to say "I am deliberately choosing not to play how the game was designed, so you should change the design."Hypertionb14_ESO wrote: »i agree... you have no real business playing if you actually refuse to learn how to play... I, at least, did not say anything about how ZOS would respond. I just expressed my personal opinion that I'm tired of listening to people complain about things being "broken" when they are working as intended, and the individual is basically asking for a completely different type of game. You guys are a laugh and a half if you think ZOS is making the game easier to play because I go to far in saying I won't play the game if I find it to hard to play by their rules.
No sooner do I think I'm making good solo progress with VR-2 in EP when it all goes you know where once again... So my game has stopped once again until solutions are figured out or I give up and just play into a different area of Deshaan.
This situation has happened twice in succession. The first time people showed up to help. The second time I guess I just didn't wait so long. I'm trying to kill Merdyndril in the Plague Bringer quest solo and of course I can't do that as poor NB.
I reached out to Chat help earlier and noticed how quiet chat was. Then I used /help earlier and learned that as a VR-2 AD type I couldn't chat with anyone but other ADs in EP zones. How disappointing is that? I'd have to guess ZOS is trying hard to get me to abandon playing solo. Well, I'll tell you that what will work is I will once again threaten, ***, moan, and grown and quit until something is done about it.

Vet content, according to ZOS, WAS MADE FOR GROUP PLAY, not for solo play, at least not for "easy" solo play.
No game should be as 'hard as hell' in my gaming book.

And others can't solo this content. Still others discover that what they thought was a solo boss battle wasn't solo at all (myself included here). I'm looking at my game right now as the glass half full and filling very slowly. It changes. It is the value I get out of the game not the value you get out of the game--go get your own glass and fill it.
I'm backing ZOS 100%...nuff said. It will be by their design when I feel I can no longer get value out of playing the game further. I will twist and turn and make various comments but in the end this is only 1 thread out of thousands (?) of various inputs they are getting from us and what ZOS ends up programming is what will count good or bad for you or me.
I had a lot of fun in a public dungeon early today solo... no one else around in the dungeon called Shrine of the Black Maw. I couldn't deal with the three or so Gargoyles (VR-3 like myself) I had to get past so I used invisibility successfully to run past them. The rest of the enemies including the achievement battle were straight forward mobs of 1, 2, or 3--a good number of them. I took my time killing all of them, looking at the books but not reading them, getting the skyshard and the dungeon achievement and the using invisibility again to get past the Gargoyles and outside. I died twice trying to size up the Gargoyles and only one more time in a battle I messed up. If there had been other 'helpers' in there it wouldn't have been half the fun.
