In my case, I wish I'd known how damn boring the VR grind was going to be. IF I had known I'd have spent more time in Craglorn grinding anomalies....lol

You can port to a guild member much the same way you can port to a group member. It will get you to the nearest way shrine to them, then you can go to what ever way shrine you want and not spend a dime. Helps if you have a large guild/s

I wish I knew that the Imperial motif sells for considerably more than any of the other player race motifs. I found the Imperial motif at level 15 or so, and sold it for 850 gold. I think I could have gotten 40 000 gold or so for it.

Some things I wish I knew from the start:

    - You can quick travel to the Harborage and don't have to keep running back and forth between the Davon's Watch wayshrine.

    - Raw materials have a chance of giving rare crafting materials when refined.

    - Don't wait until vr12 before you decide to buy a horse, its a yawnsome business levelling them up.

    - Do not use levels 1-50 to exclusively level up the skill lines you plan on using at end game. The game is a cakewalk at this level range, so use the time to keep your options open and level up a range of alternative weapon, class and armour skill lines.

There's such a huge desparity between vet and non vet not to mention vet1 vs vet12. The gap is too great imo and I want to see a large number of players being able to be competitive in Cyrodiil.

If there wasn't a gap, people would complain that you got no real advantage for leveling up.

Competitive? With whom? The game which a new player is 'competitive' with a senior player is certainly one which gives nothing for the investment of time.

    2. If you want to collect every skyshard and lorebook, get the add-ons right away.

    3. The biggest immersion killer is the forums. Once you get sucked in, you'll spend more time posting than playing. Just say no.

I agree with you about the lorebooks, but odds are you will come across 90% of all the skyshards in a zone just by questing. The remainder you just check in your journal about. If the clues aren't obvious (most are) look them up online.

Lorebooks though are like finding needles and a very large haystack. You could be ten feet away from one and not know it if something is blocking your view.

Once my Nord has explored all EP areas, completed all EP quests, and obtained all the achievements related to this, I'll put him on hold and start a new character in a new faction. When I do the AD and DC quests for the first time, I want it to be from the right perspective; not as a member of the EP, as that would ruin my immersion. So in my case, three factions = three characters.

Ok, I haven't read up on all the achievements yet, so I spoke too quickly. I assume there's some which are so demanding that I'll leave them for later, after having played through my other faction characters.

Might not be appropriate for all play styles. I am perpetually overlevelled without the using training or really going to any extremes; just exploring and questing. In fact I won't play seriously until this weekend so I can do one of the public dungeons without being being overlevelled.

I've actually been considering this too. I'm still on my first character, male Breton Sorcerer in DC. I'll probably make a female Imperial Templar for EP, and then a male Khajiit Nightblade for AD. I think it will be more fun from new perspectives and with new abilities.

I'm doing this too- sending two new characters from different classes/races through the two different factions. I look forward to trying new abilities and playing through those factions with characters who are "from" there.

The one thing I would have done differently is not put so many points into crafting on my main - I wish I had brought up a couple of crafting alts at the same time.

I will need to respec Slurg - but after 1.3 comes out - to be more competitive in Veteran content. But I'd probably want to anyway with all the upcoming changes so it's fine.

If you just need to get to a wayshrine and you have no money, like when you spend your money traveling to a wayshrine that you are standing in front of. Take off your armor and weapons, and let something kill you, resurrect at the nearest wayshrine. It costs little to nothing for this.

If you're level 10+, screw that, just enter a Cyrodiil campaign, you'll be conveniently close to a wayshrine and in no immediate danger (in case you're a carebear).

You get popped out of Sneak after you shoot, yes (in PvE at least)*. But, the enemy is stunned for about 2 seconds, 4 with the right passive, so you can get off some more shots before they can do anything. There are also passives that increase damage on stunned enemies. I have been able to get back into sneak and shoot off another critical at the stunned enemy. If you get this timing down, the enemy never approaches you. I also use this to incapacitate those pesky healers.

For the Armor Training, I use it on my first two sets (I make a set every 4 levels for my characters) With LA or MA, this can get the protection up to a reasonable level in my mind quickly. Once I get into the Teens, I tend to use other traits on my armor, usually Infused as I enchant everything I make.

*Kind of makes sense to me. While I have not shot that many bows in my life, doing so from a crouched position does not seem like it would be all that effective. In the game, your character actually stands up just as they shoot which seems to me to be the way to get the most power in the shot. Not saying that you can't shoot a bow from a crouched position, but a standing person I would imagine would have more power and better accuracy.

Well, if my static duo partner and I had known that they would nerf the VR faction zones down to easy-mode, we would never have started ESO. That feature is one of the reasons we embarked on this game.

We saw the developer and streamer videos of how challenging and group oriented the VR1-VR10 content would be. What a disappointment, and we feel to some degree, a betrayal of the promise made.

It is quite likely that once we finish with Molag Bal, we will just leave the game. Doing another two full faction's zones worth of easy-mode content is not looking very attractive to us right now.

Certainly not out of the realm of possibilities, been ages since I played a PVP game. Aside from the fact i'm not alone in that thinking, its obvious a level 50 or a vet would have a significant advantage over a lower level.

Are you implying in a 1 on 1 encounter they have as much a chance? I mean that in a general fashion, not a mage vs a tank or some slant situation, on a broad basis.

Chance? Sure ... I've managed to take out 50+ players with a level 10/15.
    But that's not the point.

Keep battles are rarely composed of 1v1. A level 10 can be very helpful in taking a keep or resource.
    ;-)

PS: I'm playing 3 main characters, one in each faction and each of them went to Cyrodiil at level 10. Plenty of fun to be had...

Exactly the same for my partner, I and four other friends. We've guilded and played together for years. Discussed TESO and got involved with it wayyyy back. It is not just experiencing growing pains; it is in fact not what it was advertised to MMO vets to be.

Wished so much for just a 'tad' of an adjustment in the Vet +content and additionally some awesome group motivators to be put in. Instead, now my friends' 12 year old harvests in V+ 1-10. :(

lol don't misunderstand, Cyrodiil is fun to me. My first experience, which i'm not entirely basing my opinion on here, was me and 3 others trying to hold a lumber camp against several mages. With myself as a melee templar, one of those mages would just turn and spit two spells and down i'd go lol. I did manage a few interrupts but generally I was fodder.

Still had fun. Just a point to level up. However, I certainly didn't feel useful lol. Using the NPCs though we did manage to hold it. I've recently boosted my Restoring light line and boosting armor and spell resist, I wanna go back and try playing a more heal/support role and see how I fare in that.

He's a flirt and a ladies' man, and as a female, I found him charming. Obviously opinions differ, and I stated mine. Nothing in there says "all women find him charming."

yes but by saying that you feel that way as a female... how does being a female have anything to do with it?

If your character was a guy he'd still hit on you. Then he would be.. a man's man?

    your gender is irrelevant.
