Make sure you know the game inside out..

Speed - Potions +
- There is currently a bug which allows your character to run 100% faster, you can attack things still, and it only resets when you die or log out.

The only hacks I've seen are gold sellers flying/porting around between harvesting nodes, but they've gone now.

I don't do PvP, and it may well be that hacking is more prevalent there, but if so it's only the PvP that is being abused and spoilt, the game itself isn't being destroyed. I dare say the scale of the PvP exploits is exaggerated by those who like to convince themselves that the only reason they died was that the other player was cheating.

PvP may be a central focus of the game for some, but it isn't everything. ZOS obviously need to get a grip on exploits, but this game is no different to any other so far as the use of speed hacks and other exploits is concerned.

I do a lot of PvP and I don't see anything amiss (other than well-known bugs, lag, etc). But then I am very focused on playing the game so that is likely why I miss seeing the "hacks". I certainly haven't noticed any "stealth hacks".

More than a few times actually. Sometimes they make it look like they dont really know you're there by running in some kind of weird zig zag but are still coming right at you. But there was one OBVIOUS guy that ran right at me, straight line. Would have been more unnoticable if he stealthed too.

Its hard to call it a coincidence when its a bare field in the middle of nowhere.

It depends, how far away was he when he started running at you? Did he see you go into stealth? I pretty much spam detection pots when I am near an active battle and can see people from farther than any attack with them. Just asking. I have had people send me angry whispers about seeing them in stealth when all I did was pop a detection potion.

Out of range of any attack, which means out of range of detection pots.

The guy that zig-zagged right towards me was on a horse the whole time, and you cant use pots on a horse. I was watching a bunch of enemies run by to a keep, and this one guy just turns and does this zig zag right towards me. Hardly coincidence.

For the guy running streight at me, If it was a detection pot, he could have attacked me if it was in detection range, but when I saw him running right at me i moved out of the way. Plus I believe I would have been detected as in open eye even if a little, but I was still hidden.

Thanks for all the comments! I would say to all those who think that "oh its just a bug" or " he was using a potion" to look for themselves.. Google eso hacks and see what you find. Just remember "All the in-game hacks are for educational purposes and you should use at your own risk" Yes Zeni has been banning these guys. But as fast as they get banned they reappear. They joke about their 5th account and how much money their bot made. Also that the game was hacked while still in Beta and is updated after every ESO patch. I started this thread for one reason. To help inform other ESO players about what is and isnt a hack. Everyone is gonna run into that one person in Cyrodil who just owns them.. or their grp.. but be aware that some of those players are using hacks. Inform yourself on what is/can be a hack and report the players that use them. Most hacks can be toggled on/off and work just like any other add-ons. They give step by step for installs and how not to get caught using them. One site even has a counter for the number of downloads 16k and the number of people banned for using it 12k. Which I thought was good... not great.. Report suspicious activity! Even if your not sure if that guy dodge rolling 15 times in a row is a hack.. (yes thats one too) or that DK who jumped into the keep.. the guy on his horse moving 200 times faster than normal... Some are obvious.. some are not.. report them all and let Zeni conclude who is cheating.

TESO Cheats - Find out all the major dupes going on in the game and how you can access them.
TESO Exploits - Learn how to loot npcs multiple times or how to instant kill other players by bugging out the land masses.
TESO Bots - Have a program play the game for you, which means it will hunt, kill, loot, sell, and more. It depends on the setup you create.
TESO Hacks - Have alerts for hard to find mobs, use a radar with a greater range than the game gives players, and more hacks.
TESO Leveling Guides - Learn how players are leveling in the game quicker than you, also learn all the best ways to start farming gold easily.

Monitoring what is really going on in the Test Server would help immensely. It seems that the test server is utilized mostly by hackers/bot programmers...got to keep up with all the updates lol

If people were ACTUALLY testing content, this game would not be so buggy and we would have fewer issues with exploits.

Yep, that is true. It's been confirmed by the creators of two popular bot programs.

Idk, but normally you lose the hidden status when getting detected. Isn't so with the pots?

Exactly. People need to wake up and stop auto replying "stealth detect potions" every time this gets brought up. There are parasitic websites providing hacks and exploits for every mmo out there and they include far more than just stealth hacks.

Here is a quote from one those sites that pretty much sums up "leet" players to me.

However, if you are super competitive in PvP, then you might want to consider using a few smaller hacks there, such as speed and teleport hacks, since they are hard to notice if you are using them right.

I think most 'hacks' are over-reported, but that one exists. I have seen it myself a few times. When you're hidden in an out of the way spot, and someone 50 meters away changes direction to run right at you -- that's not a coincidence.

Still, it's only happened two or three times in hundreds of hours of play. It's annoying, but not gamebreaking.

He was almost certainly a DK or a Vampire, then, and quite possibly both.

There are some builds that are virtually unkillable without taking a very specific approach. If you're new to PvP, and you don't know what you're seeing (and you didn't load the right counters), there are absolutely builds that will solo your group with ease.

If you keep playing and pay attention, you'll learn how to handle some of these. For the rest, you'll at least know when it's smarter to leave than feed the guy AP.

Yep most of what I see here is ignorance of what is already in the game like the potions that give you the ability to see stealthers or the different teleports or the incredible run speed medium armor bow users can achieve or the damage you deal out if you pop any of the +390 crit + attack power crit potions and combine them with the NB passives.

Before you think that you are the only person that knows what every class/build/potion/item do in the game why dont you look into it yourself.. Yes there are hacks/exploits and some are making sure their alliance owns everything in Cyrodil with them..
