They should be banning them on the spot...... hacks ruin the game for many people. Unfortunately I haven't seen any besides the hacks where they 1 shot you for 2k damage...... frustrating.

Poor game design and the omission of key MMO features beat hacks to it when it comes to what is the cause for this game being destroyed.

You are right, but in the middle of the line.

Right now seems there's green light for exploiters and hackers. Obvious cheaters have been reported and no action was taken from devs. Ingame GM's could solve this problem easily.

More than likely if you have PvPed in last few weeks you have seen hacks and didnt know it.. ever been in stealth and someone from a far range comes runnin straight at you and attacks? the stealth hack lets you see all toons around you stealth or not.. invisible or not.. there are way to many to list here.. do a lil research and read up on them.. its crazy

yea I stopped playing PvP after they broke silver bolts.

It's been verified that it is possible to write macros for nightblades which allows them to deal 3000ish damage in about a second - and it's being used in PvP.

Guys I hope you know that there are potions in the game that enables you to see stealthed enemies within 26 meters ?

have not seen any hacking in this game yet. in over 40days /played with 80% of my time spent in cyro. Alot of abusing but no hacking

Yep most of what I see here is ignorance of what is already in the game like the potions that give you the ability to see stealthers or the different teleports or the incredible run speed medium armor bow users can achieve or the damage you deal out if you pop any of the +390 crit + attack power crit potions and combine them with the NB passives.

Hacks do exist, doesn't take genius to find some sites with google.

Also many claims for hacks are false. In FPS games calling hacks is almost joke already as it happens so often. True that there are way more hacks around too.

So I googled and read a bit one forum that seems to concentrate on hacks. Most of those were teleportation, speed, fly, under the ground, easier spotting of resources etc mainly what people would use for botting or farming. Some detect invisible players were there too.

As those sites tend to be quite shady and you never know what stuff they might inject to your machine while you browse there I didn't go digging deeper. What was of course kinda relief to see that many of the creators of the hacks have stopped development as they have stopped playing the game.

No idea of the commercial side, I'm sure there is one too cause sadly it seems there are people who use these and most likely are also willing to pay for working one.

No, it's not illegal - It's not a crime to use it. Law enforcement will not knock at your door for using it.

Civil law is not criminal law. You can't be arrested, but you can be sued. Granted, you probably won't be, but the programmers who make these things have lost millions in prior cases.

Not sure if there are any Game of Thrones fans in here, but one of my favorite quotes applies here:

You can't expect everyone to refrain from abusing exploits in a PvP situation. The only way to try to prevent it is by enforcing the risk of punishment for abusing exploits, and/or actually patching the game to remove the ability for exploits. In any system, there will always be people that prefer to win over losing with honor.

I don't PvP much so this may not be anything at all.

I jumped into Cyrodiil the other night and joined a large group that was helping take some keeps. While we were running from a farm to a keep we ran into a DC guy so we attacked him. 8-10 of us were attacking him but could not bring his health down more than a 1/4. He ended up killing all of us and going about his merry way.

I understand some people are better at PvP than others and most people are better than me but should this happen? These were not level 10 guys I was grouped with. Most of them were higher level than I am at V3.

Anyway, for someone that doesn't PvP much this is something that will make me not want to set foot in Cyrodiil.
