I have made a new character called Boomjackal of the light and i have a main character called Boomjackal on the Aldemeri Dominion. My new character is a Breton and i did not realise that the race of your character determines what faction you are part of. I was making the character as our guild needs more healers. Is there any chance i can change my race into a High elf so i can be part of the Aldmeri Dominion it really was an honest mistake and i really dont have the time to make a new character from scratch. If this is not possible if i buy the imperial edition do i get the option to change my faction? Your help will be much appreciated.

Once you've created your character, there's currently no way to change your race or faction. Buying the Imperial Edition would give you the freedom to play any race in any faction in the future, but won't affect characters you've already created.

Hopefully the powers of a GM can change that :disappointed:

The bold is true. The rest is not.

The Imperial Edition does not give you the option to play any race in any faction, that is the Explorers Pack (a pre-order bonus). You can however play an Imperial in any faction with the Imperial Edition.

You can not change your alliance after you've made your character. It is extensively obvious that you are in a diff territory after finishing the tutorial if you choose to re-run said tutorial at all. How far could you have gotten before realizing it was in the wrong alliance? Don't have the time to make a new character? You on some kind of deadline?
    V14 - IMPERIAL NIGHTBLADE - DPS/TANK
    V13 - BRETON SORCERER - HEALS/DPS
    V2 - REDGUARD DRAGONKNIGHT - MELEE DPS
    V1 - BRETON TEMPLAR - TANK/DPS

to be continued... Nevermind, no longer "to be continued"

Nah mate just work 60 hours a week and do guild pvp on my main every evening so only chance i get to level is the weekend, and i got to level 13 which i know is not high but thats about 3 weekends worth, as i said was just an honest mistake, I did realise it was a different area which i thought was strange but i thought it was just because of the character race not the faction. and it is very similar anyway.

That's not something that can be changed, regardless of how much time you spent on it.

Lol. I'm not questioning you, but I swear npcs mention daggerfall at least a couple times.

Look around the internet for someone selling the Explorer's Pack.

Then you can play any race in any alliance, i wouldn't even play the game if i didn't have that.

Yes, unfortunately no way to switch. However only lvl 13, it really is not that big of a thing to redo. You should be able to do that easily in a weekend.

Maybe join up with some of your guildie and you will just run through the quests and level up quickly.

This is true, but it would only apply to new characters. Existing characters cannot be altered, there is no mechanism to do so.

I'm betting they will eventually offer a race/faction change service like WOW does (no such thing as server transfer due to the megaserver setup), however. But right now said service does not exist and existing characters cannot be altered.

I feel bad for you, and I honestly mean no offense, but asking for a race/alliance change because you somehow made it all the way to level 13 before realizing you were in the wrong faction is, frankly, pretty ridiculous. Given the info during character creation and the obviously completely different zone (which you said you realized but apparently never thought to question), how it took you as long as it did to figure out your mistake is beyond me.

Just chock it up to a lesson learned and make a character in the correct alliance. If you are creating the new character to help out your guild, then maybe they can excuse you from PvP for a few days while you get caught up again.

13 is nothing really. Just save that character and when you do get some cash refund his skillpoints and invest them into hireling levels.

if you have the early edition you are able to choose the faction, but always need to be weary of what it's set on. I'm not sure how it works on later bought imperial editions, if they kept that open choise. If you have a standard (not pre release bought version) you are stuck with three races of that faction.
