Hello, I’ve been searching google and the forms but can't figure out how to fix this.

http://oi61.tinypic.com/2nvcxzt.jpg

I've done a search for the ChatSystem.lua file on my hard drive and can't seem to find it.
I've removed all addons by deleting my live folder from mydocuments and ran the repair option in the launcher, but the issue persists. The only workaround I have found so far is to type, /script ZO_UIErrors_ToggleSupressDialog() but I shouldn't have to type this everytime I log in or /reloadui.
Can someone please tell me why this is happening?

Are you add-on free? If not, try without them.

If no add-ons, delete your custom tabs (BS,etc) and see if that helps the issue.

Unless the addons go somewhere other than C:\Users\PC\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\AddOns. Then I'm confident I'm free of any addons. As I've deleted the folder called live, that contains the AddOns, SavedVariables folders and UserSetting.txt. All that stuff is gone, but ESO will put them back as soon as you log back in. So I know they're all fresh files.

I only get the error when I click on the tabs. So removing the custom tabs was the first thing I tried. I realize I didn't mention that in my original post, sorry, but that's no help either. =( Even with all the custom tabs gone I still get the error when I click on the last tab, and only tab left.

After you deleted the tabs, did you log out and delete the setting files again.

I did as you suggested but it did not help. I did however find that it’s character specific, none of my alts have this issue.

Fewf... I figured it out. OK so the short version is that it was this mod called ChatMultiWindow (updated for patch 1.2.3+). Stay far away from this damn thing. Acourding to jsberg69 "it seems there is ZO_Ingame.lua data that gets saved on the server side. The problem we have been having seems to stem from there being a chatwindow with a tab that has no name and not being able to select it to give it a name or remove it. I was able to get rid of this UI Error by logging my character out, then deleting the ZO_Ingame.lua and then loging back in using the following add-in." Read more Here

Even though it was uninstalled, it some how had left it's footprint on the server side. So as mentioned before I removed my live folder but didn't work. So then I re-installed the game, and that didn't work... Then as a last attempt before shooting my self in the face. jk. I re-installed Chat Multi Window updated for patch 1.2.3, logged on to an alt that didn't have the issue. Then logged on to my main and it was gone. I then uninstalled it and will NEVER trust this author again! I mean WTF kind of mod leaves a irremovable footprint after it's been uninstalled??? Even after deleting my live folder and reinstalling the game, and still had the damn issue! But whatever... It's over now.

And one more thing, ESO you reeeeeealy need to not let mods have this kind of game breaking power. Or at the very least, a way to reset EVRYTHING back to defaults with a ingame /command. If there is one then please, you need post it somewhere, then work on your response time.
