This thread is full of fail. We still don't know anything about the situation. You all assume she's ordering him around, but maybe he spends 12 hours a day playing a video game and neglects his responsibilities, so she got angry. Or a hundred other options.
no, I do not assume so.

If it's a for real question, of course a relationship is more important, though you may want to look at if someone who bans you from things is the right gal for you.

My ex told me I should marry my computer. I thought about it but traded her in for a newer model.

Ultimatums are a sure sign of a bad relationship...Once you give in then it just gets worse...because there has been a power play and someone looses....whoever looses at that point will never win....If she doesn't like who you are why be with her? If she's the type that is like "I can change him" then you'll never be good enough. Either way find someone that builds a relationship on who you are...not someone that can't accept who you are.
By the way I'm married for 12 years and my wife enjoys games as well...and she's not some fatty ugly geek girl.

I'd wonder what someone had done with my wife. In 27 years she's never given me any form of ultimatum. There's stuff I do she doesn't enjoy (playing MMOs, watching cricket), there's stuff she does I don't enjoy (shopping, watching soaps) and stuff we enjoy doing together. Just need to find the right balance. At the moment she's asleep so I get a few hours game time. Later we plan to visit family, go swimming and go out for a meal (stuff we enjoy doing together).

I would ask her how she justified playing ESO for several hours a day herself :D

tell her you love her so much, of course you will give up ESO. then, after sexing her, tell her you changed your mind.

The solutions are a lot simpler than most people seem to realise....

    1. Do something spontaneous you know she will appreciate. DO NOT draw attention to the fact.

    2. Buy her something you know she wants, as long as it isn't stupidly expensive (tricky one as most women don't have cheap tastes)

    3. Spend more than 3 minutes doing something we all enjoy. No-one expects that to be as long as your average gaming session (even she won't be that naive) but some effort will be required not to give in at the first bell.

    4. Spend one night a week not gaming. This will be tough, I know. Spend the occasional minute thinking and planning your build, PvP strategy, next armour set.... Do, however, listen to her speaking and at least nod appropriately and answer correctly when required.

You'll be amazed at the transformation. Believe me, the woman that tolerates gaming is a rare creature indeed.... so build your own.
