Skill Point Spent-Skill Point Not Applying

This morning I was on my main and needed to put another item into research. I only have two bows left to research. Omg......two weeks. So I figured I would be resetting skills at some point and decided to spend the point for 3/3 into carpentry. I had two skill points to spend as I always keep one or two in reserve. Clicked the button to spend and box disappeared. Looked at carpentry and it was still 2/3 even tho now I show only one skill point left. Completely closed the game and relogged. Still the same....didn't apply. Yesterday I remembered putting a point into intimidate.......wasn't a hundred percent sure.....was looking to use a skill point and there was no point in it. Figured I didn't put the point in and was mistaken. Well on the carpentry I am 100% sure........spent and didn't get it. Another thing that concerns me.........how are we supposed to know how many points we should have total? ticket number 140507-007749

Same thing happened to me when I used a skill point gained from turning in a quest that pushed my character into level v1. I saw the total skill points go down one from Spent Skill Points when I used the skill point. Relog, repair, and respec didn't work. Customer service still won't refund my lost skill point.

Oh joy, that doesn't bode well. I just had it happen to me. I had 3 skill points to spend, spent two and suddenly there was no third point to be used.

Putting in a ticket, but I'm not going to hold my breath I guess. /sigh Crud!

silly thought, but could it be a display issue caused by addons?
try disabling your addons and see if it still shows the point as not applied

Tried disabling add-ons, etc. Heard back from support: They escalated it, and the rep. who responded to escalation kindly informed me that it was considered closed as I'd spent my third point in the exact place where I'd spent my second point. I think they just looked at where the LAST point had been spent. I double checked all that I had done, quest wise and levels etc that would have awarded a skill point, and yes, I am missing exactly one point. I give up. They obviously do not care to actually fix this and I can't be bothered at this point to fight with them over one skill point. It sets me back a bit as this is a lower level character but it'll be made up a bit in later levels when skill points are more a bonus to stick somewhere odd than anything else. Still annoying, but not worth the headache and time I've already spent on it.

In another note, I have two guild mates who have suffered their skill points being put in the wrong place for crafting. For example, one guildie spent his points that he had been saving (6 of them) in Woodworking, and was very sure of it, as he went into spend points more than once that day. He did it just so he could make his end game weapon. Went to the woodworking table to make it and couldn't. He checked his skill points and found they'd ALL, even the ones spent at lower levels ages ago, been transferred into Blacksmithing, which is a craft he doesn't do.

A third guild mate also had exactly one skill point disappear on him as well. We're all disgusted and fed up with bugs and I am so beaten down by poor responses from Customer Service now that I can no longer be bothered. So hopefully a dev will see this, but once again... not holding my breath.

TL;DR -- Skill points are bugged. The bugs are multiple and differing, and random. Just pray it doesn't happen to you.

I have had this but for me only cosmetic, I spent a point on a morph, the morph did not show as complete but point count dropped, I then closed the skills screen an reopened it and the morph then showed correctly. Happened a couple of times while doing a respec but I do not think I actually lost any points or morphs.
