However, even with 2 VR12's and a VR2..I doubt I could get 30$ for my account.

So in any other game, your discontent would prompt you to break the law?
Seriously, mods: why did we leave this thread open?
Break the law? What law is this person breaking? I would hate to live there.
The terms of service is a legally binding contract, I believe. By breaking it, and selling an account, the law is broken?

News flash, kiddo...not once has a TOS ever stood up in court (we're talking civil here) let alone "breaking the law"...your comment is just /ROFLMAOstrokegougemyeyesoutfacepalm
Not that I'm endorsing anything said in this thread....this entire thread is /facepalm

He was not the one to originally state they were breaking the law. Scroll up and read the thread.

I play a game to... you know, play it. Not load up someone else's saved game and say I finished.
to do exactly what the people who are stating they sell accounts are complaining about: get to the end game content/gear without effort.
What is it that's so inherently better about endgame? And I don't mean in ESO in particular (Where I've heard the endgame isn't the best), but in general?
I'm quite happily working my way through the zones. 'tis fun.
Will I have way more fun when I get to the end?
indytims_ESO wrote: »Folks complaining that their accounts aren't "worth anything"... LOL.
Of -course- they aren't worth anything. The game is like 90 days old. Your X number of VR 12s was achieved in that amount of time, tells anyone even thinking of buying an account that they, too, can get those levels pretty easy...
And as I've said over and over, this game is just -too easy-. Max-level EQ1 characters in the old days selling for $1k? Ok, I can see that. But welcome to 2014. Most games allow pretty speedy advancement with minimal effort and time invested. You guys crack me up.
But I do enjoy reading the QQ in this forum. There's -always- an easy way out: it's called 'Cancel Sub', followed by 'Move on with life'.
AdamBourke wrote: »Just because no-one has been charged, doesn't mean it's not against the law. Not to mention that there are different laws in different countries. Here in the UK there may just be different laws from whichever state the datacenters for ESO are (Which I gather is where the case would be tried if it got to court).
But the fact remains that Terms of Service are technically legally binding (In both the UK and USA, and probably many other places).
(It's also really hard to research this, as google just returns a load of websites' terms pages!)

ROFL, selling ones account in some random MMO might be against EULA (and it's not in some games, Eve Online for example) but there is no criminal law that person is breaking. No District Attorney anywhere in the USA is going to prosecute any person for violating EULA.
Correct...this is because EULAs and TOS's have ZERO legal weight behind them. Just because a software company hires some lawyers to draw up gibberish and SAY that by using their product you are agreeing to previously mentioned gibberish and that it is legally binding means nothing.
I tell people I am Santa Claus...doesn't mean I am.

None of you can sue anyway. You signed an agreement waiving that right and agreeing to all disputes to be settled by binding arbitration. Besides that NO ONE is due any kind of refund. I have bought plenty of books, movies, and games over the years that I did not like. You don't get refunds for that. Just go away and play something else. Makes no sense for you to be spending any more time here. Just go and find a happier life.
On the other hand there are about a dozen people that I wish ZOS would buy out and perma ban. These forums would be a much nicer place without them.
