Some people are being affected in PVE, not just PVP ... My brother cannot play at the moment because of the same issues in PVE... He is experiencing slow mob/terrain rendering he runs into tree's and rocks... animations not rendering..health bar out of sinc. music out of sinc..If he is solo he will die to mobs it will not show them until after he is dead ... Sometimes he see's that he is under attack but no mob.. lol He did not have this issue until the last patch... I have have not had his issues but I know of 2 others that are having his exact issues....

I also experience issues in PvE. For instance, some areas with high mob density (anywhere in vr5+ zones) I have very low fps and glitchy game behavior. The red area circles/cones that show for mob aoe's occasionally have a red and black checkerboard that pop up around them, etc..

    Anyone else see a pattern?

yes in every MMO out there same old whine with the same old moldy cheese

ZOS will fix the FPS issue when they have a fix for it. They have to make the call on when they are willing to push out the patch for it and at what level of confidence they have that the patch will fix the issue.

The issue here is not the trash can community. Is that they actually listen to them and rush untested/broken patches. I mean, who the hell would patch something that might break the game just because some people are asking on the forums? That's moronic.

They already did that without community pressure. It seems like they don't playtest any of their patches. They don't playtest any balances they make. They make the game worse with every patch. You can't break the game any more than it is now so might as well push out a patch and see if it works, like they've been doing
I wouldn't challenge these guys, they seem pretty good at breaking it.

They posted a similar statement last wed. This means they didn't do crap over the long weekend but took yours n mine hard earned money a went boozing over the weekend. Now I am all for partying on the 4th but for as long as this bug has been around and a regurgitating of more bs after nothing being done over the long weekend drives me batty and tells me these tools are useless.

I enjoyed my weekend away and will enjoy my 15 extra a month playing a game that actually works and the team behind it cares about the game and their clients. These guys obviously don't.

Things happens. That being said I've played soooo many MMO's I understand the risks of investing in ANY MMO early and one of those risks are gamebreaking pvp - WAR, optimization - SWTOR, and unfinished endgame - Vanilla WOW. Every MMO near launch, and I mean every last one, has issues that the public believes is taking too long to solve. But the problems do get solved.

Oh I understand your anger. Like I said I've been through alot of new MMOs getting off the ground. I've regretted not sticking it out after things got fixed. SWTOR had THE worst optimization I had ever seen when it launch. Now the game runs like butter on my old 2008 machine. I just have uncanny patience after so many MMOs.

Sorry but you're already losing subs. Patience was waiting a week for a patch that "might" fix it, at this point I can only wonder why haven't you guys rolled back to when it worked? The game is the best looking mmo on the market but now its nearly unplayable in pvp. Who wants to pay to play a game they have to restart every few minutes in order to have playable frames, and to be quite frank there are several who have already left and people in my pvp guild are saying all the other pvp guilds they are in are dying out.
I've defended and recommended this game repeatedly, but as it is right now there is no way I could that. Game breaking issues need an immediate fix and if there is no immediate fix need to be rolled back to a working state of the game until it can be resolved. If this were a cable tv/internet/or any other type of business this standard of service would in no way exist.
Hopefully it's fixed tomorrow but its not the first and I fear it wont be the last time bugs are allowed to exist for such an amazingly long period of time.

Even the PVE is mostly unplaybale it will go down to 9-11 fps when around other players some little tricks here and there work for a bit but in the end the fps comes back and makes pvp/pve all game content unplayable

Sure, it transitions from a "demand" to a statement, then, one that the majority of your playerbase can get behind. What, does it "trigger" fewer "triggers" that way? Look, we understand its a matter of respect and decorum, but at least try to show us some in turn.

It's astounding your people are more astute to enforce your rules HERE, out of the principle product being discussed, than you are WITHIN the game itself. Even if the FPS issue is fixed, why are reported exploiters still cavorting about, and still exploiting no less?

Also, dont think 'you' understand these peoples feelings. If you did, youd probably be doing what theyre all screaming that you should have done hours after PvP was clearly unplayable.

Yelling at them and threatening to quit probably won't make them push it out faster.

Yes it sucks they broke the pvp portion of the game (that's primarily about pvp) But nothing can be done about it now except wait...

The thing that really annoys me about it is that this game is the closest thing to DAOC in a long time, and if it ends up failing for whatever reason, Developers from other studios will blame it on the its PvP system, and we'll get 10 more years of *** WoW Clones.

I played all those 3 games at launch and pretty much agree with you (tho Id not say war pvp was broken in any way, besides the horrid lag and me being a war lover).

    Problem is ESO has:

    - Optimization problems (new perk). The client optimization was fine before, not so much the server performance (poor netcode).
    - Gamebreaking pvp. First vampires, then people using stuck command while carrying a scroll, then caltrops, oil, teleports to enemy scroll temples, silver bolts aka "nightfreaks bane"...
    - Unfinished endgame. 18 minutes endgame at my 3d trial? I guess thats a trial like in software trials, anyone know when are they gonna release the full version?

Damn warhammer had me paying until the ¥¢°±|°¢°±[•™±[ from mythic/ea shut down the game servers. Swtor Im a paying subscriber atm and played at release. Wow I like making jokes about their kungfu panda expansion, but I loved wotlk raids.

I dont know if I will have the same patient for the best of three worlds.

I think you meant the 7th not the 14th why would we have to wait another week for a fix? We're paying customers there should be hot fixes every hr till it's working, not a patch maybe in a week or 2. Would you continue to pay your internet provider if they said we might have your internet back up in a week or 2? obviously not you would cancel and find someone else.

All my hopes rest on Camelot Unchained.

I thought ESO might fill that void too, but Camelot Unchained will have launched by the time they fix all the issues here.

So all we can say now is they zos is run by *** kids . You got a game killing problems that cost you at last something like 100 people a day.why not fuckibg 100% work on this problem 24/7 (in 2 or 3 teams) and give people free game time ?
  • tino.antoninieb17_ESO
    Best options ZOS have in this moment ;

Fix the bug ( this monday is probably out of question )
    Start talking
    Credit players for lost time
    Fix the bug (eventually)
Fire lot of people basically all faces we know from the interviews. That should be publicly announced coz those guys are liability.
Start removing debris what left after the storm.

Note: Yes i forgot this one - fire your PR department ( including cleaning lady ) and hire professionals

    This.
Although I think you should keep the cleaning lady. When I look at interviews people are wearing clean clothes. She might be the only one there who is actually doing her job.

I get that this is your first MMO ZOS, but your communication skills is absolutely appaling. Sticking heads into the sand is not going to make us forget these issues, communicating with us might make us forgive them.

Memory leaks are not easy to fix guys. To investigate them alone takes a significant amount of time, and experimentation.

And that is what this problem here. To fix this kind of issue, requires a lot of investigation and testing.

Personally solving the issue but restarting the client. Usualy takes an hour of intensive fighting, spell casting and effects before the system goes down.

So find a safe place. Quick quit the client (do not wait for the timer) and log back again.

That is what I do even on the most intensive fights like the siege of Castle Alesia last night. (Hopsfire EU)

And yes must admit, used that trick to my advantage, wiping any EP that tried to climb the walls, including the emperor, who was lagging as hell it seems. :)

So relax and let ZoS fix the issue. Until then just restart the client and enjoy the game.
Should be fixed yes, but personally as a developer I never jump through to patch a memory leak, without I am certain that the update going to fix it and not create a new one in the process.

This is not scientific by no means but I think it does show that PVP is a definate minor part of this game atm.... PVE is the part I think they are more concerned about ... Just a hunch ... But I do not think they are taking this lightly , but Im sure they are not going to drop everything to fix this...

That's mostly because the majority of the players that were here for the pvp have already quit. I'm only here for the pvp, it doesn't work, if it doesn't work after the next patch I will be out of reasons to keep playing.

Relax? I am not tech geek, but I for sure believe that stuff like mmo has backups for each version. Why don't they load the old patch? 1.2.2. There is literaly no reasson not to do so. I don't care about better graphics or more balanced classes. I care about beeing able to play!

It really seems like someone inside zeni wants the game to be shut down.

The only ones who are playing now are die hard fans who will endure even server shut down entirely for a month and still pay for it...

Or those who are lucky and do not experience fps drops. (judging from zone chats and forums it is minority)
