I don't get it - yes a justice system could be awesome; but why do people think this is going to be anything except a cluster? Its a hard issue and ZoS is having building normal game mechanics.

im sory that would be incorrect.
in morrowind, oblivion and even skyrim we did have jail that we were sent to for stealing items or fighting or murder and various other crimes as well. has nothing to do with the thalmore or the aldmeri dominion.
    look here:
and also this Prison will be global and for ALL three alliances to share exactly like it is in cryodiil that will include PvP if you do try to escape.
and please, in the future assume that I'm always right. thank you

There is already ample evidence that ZOS has little regard for factional lore or retaining any consistency.

You may consider your nerd rage plea to adhere to the lore, denied.

Also, you're formally sentenced to 4 years in the salt mine, where you will remain chained to a big Orc named Shirley for the duration of your stay.

    Dismissed.

you are right about ZOS, still, it is Thalmor duty to shine with Auri-El' glory and fight for the infinity, infinately.

I'm emotionally, that is physically almost incapable of rage. but purity of my will knows no denial.

I can not accept this idea.

Only problem with this suggestion honestly is that their is no court system in any of the TES games. The guards either say your guilty (generally because you are), or your not and they leave you alone.

Well I find it hard to argue with that. Touche +1

That said, I feel an intense desire to go bludgeon AD players in Cyrodiil with a 2 handed club. And Im not specced for that so hopefully it takes a really long time and is really painful.

    but on topic,
we need this from the lore to help us in eso.

the interactable objects in elderscrolls online mmo, if you purchase eso and start a sub then download eso the very 1st thing youll notice is inteactable objects in the world that are able to be taken. they have zero gold value and do not realy offer much, but those are the items that will be used in the justice system when it starts probably next patch.

i think you are misinformed my friend. the justice system is next patch. :)
the thieves guild and dark brotherhood are supose to be patch 4, but our next patch is patch 3 which the devs said that the justice system would be put into the patch before the db and thives guild patch :)

it was the "housing" that would be 2 years away, not the thives guild and db.

no I just trust ZOS to screw this up as well. ZOS is under contract to launch TESO for consoles. They have blown the launch date. Contacts are a double edged sword most times especially when your product is crap bet some cash penalties are in there somewhere. The only thing getting released is piles of fertilizer till console launch. Then they can dump this to F2P. Believe what you want but ZOS track record speaks for itself.

So you believe they are going through the entire game and labeling these thousands of items as "stolen" property? Seems like a lot of work for junk that no one wants.

And surely something in the next patch would have been on the public test server first.

that, i believe is exactly what they did in morrowind, oblivion, and skyrim. the only way to own that item would be to drop it on the ground and pick it up OR sell it to a vendor and then buy it back from the vendor. but, since this is an mmo, and not a single player elderscrolls game then both of those options might not apply.
this is not new to elderscrolls, is been this way for many many years.

So does that mean next time I'm doing 30 days for killing that chicken accidentally while swinging my axe in town. I froze in fear when the chicken rolled over dead at my feet. Just waiting for the guards to descend on me like they did that one time while playing Skyrim.

We could be getting a reputation good guy/bad guy sort of thing, which would be why they would put in the junk and then label it later. It's not that the goods are valuable, but stealing them would add to thieves' guild rep, perhaps, and also affect your criminal status.

The only game I can think of that did something like that was the original Tradewars door game (when it was still Trekky); you could pick up colonists on Earth, and then dump them outside of Federation space for "evil" points, which, when you accumulated enough, opened up a black market/underground aspect of the game.

My favorite quote in Oblivion. Have my babies! <3

On second thought.. After ACTUALLY watching the video that young kids voice at the end really ruins it for me.

Uh, yea, I know, but when those games were made, they labeled the items at the beginning when they made the game. You are suggesting they are going back to relabel all these items, which is not what was done in previous TES. It's a lot of work to label thousands of items, and why would it be worth it if the items are junk?

The justice system might be completely different than what you are thinking.

i read earlier a developer said that they are looking into making a Prison or "jail" for those who are caught stealing. (justice system) and or refuse to pay the fine, or dont have the gold to pay the fine. for random item's stolen within eso.
i am requesting that there will be put inplace a full Prison System. not a jail but a real LIVE Functioning Prison system, this will also include Riot's, meal time, and courtyard duels and/or fights.
including the ability to break out of prison and become a Fugitive. and also this Prison will be global and for ALL three alliances to share exactly like it is in cryodiil that will include PvP if you do try to escape.
the PvP system will be automatic while you are within the confines of the prison, and will also label you as a "Fugitive" thus allowing not only the Guards to capture and kill you but also ANY other person you may see or bump into while you are attempting to escape.
but ofcourse if you wish to sleep off your sentence then you will remain in your cell untill meal times and manditory courtyard excersize times.
if you steal from elderscrolls society and the shops and stores then you diserve to go to a court and be proven guilty and then sentenced to prison for thiefts and that should be a serious offence punishable by none other then serving your time in Prison!
if you have commited the crime then you must serve your time!
and you can read it for yourself in the photostetic copy printed below

I, the undersigned phorfiet all rights, privileges, liscences, herein and herein contained, ect ect Tax Mendus, gloryiah, complimentis Catum!
IT'S ALL THERE BLACK AND WHITE CLEAR AS CRYSTAL!
YOU STOLE ESO RANDOM ITEMS! YOU BUMPED INTO THE GUARD'S WHICH NOW HAS TO BE WASHED AND STERILIZED! SO YOU GET NOTHING!

    GOOD DAY SIR!!

    1. Hiding motifs, purple recipes and provisioning ingredients behind crime is not a good gaming experience.

    2. Punishing a player for gameplay is not fun.

    3. This is a terrible decision. What is a CRIME?

    no, no, my goodness,
you know those items they recently added? the swords and interactable items, not the motif's and recepies. the items that you see in the world like weapons and stuff they just added with the last patch "those items" and i believe they have allready made them listed as stolen items when created. no struggle here, it's allready implimented for the justice system, all i was asking for is a true prison and not a single cell jail cell. nothing more.

The n'wah who watched me take on a trio of baddies then ran in as I was finishing off no 3 and freed my mammoth, not once but twice. He should be locked up.
The same with the scum who absolutely ruined the cat urine love-in earler on for me too. Eastmarch is seething with ingrates who need the full force of Skyrim's finest. Trouble is they are always sleeping it off under a bridge somewhere.

Archeage has the jail/justice system. If ESO doesn't implement something similar, I could see a few players leaving for that FTP game. Not a TON, but the ones that are looking for more bite sized things to do in game that ESO isnt offering atm. Housing, growing farms/pets/mounts, open world exploring, real trade routes, boat and boat battles.. Just my opinion. I tried AA in the alpha but I cant go back to tab target games.
