Maintenance for the week of April 6:
• ESO Store and Account System for maintenance – April 8, 9:00AM EDT (13:00 UTC) - 6:00PM EDT (22:00 UTC)
We are currently investigating connection issues some players are having on the European megaservers. We will update as new information becomes available.

I erect the spine of disappointment.

I'm sure they will leave, Steve, I am sure they will.

And then, the folks that will be left will be the kind, considerate, polite people such as yourself.

    AT,

Oddly, daily quests would be an instant sub-cancel for my friend and myself.

We have had our fill of that from WoW and other MMOs. Hell, even WoW has understood that folks do NOT like repeating content over, and over, and over, endlessly.

Actually, people do like repeating content when it's an alternative. Wow screwed up and forced people into it if they wanted something, other mmos have done dailys where they were optional and only added to what was already available and performed quite well and were well received.

Also, you're forgetting that there already are daily quests. There are dailys in pvp and dailies in craglorn, quite a few dailies in craglorn actually. So why haven't you quit yet?

I would honestly prefer ZOS implement Skyrim style Radiant Quests as opposed to WoW style dailies.

Radiant, that was the word I was looking for. Not ambient x.x
Is it better to out-monster the monster or to be quietly devoured?

Good riddance then. A an officer in a lotro guild who did a lot of raiding the whole kinship managed to do raids with inexperienced people without becoming gits. Gits got kicked out. inexperienced people got treated with patience even when it would have been easier to do a raid without any of them.

Because it was just a game.

So yea - if people are so out of kilter they get that het up about what happens in a game, the sooner they go the better.

If V10-v12 is NOT nerfed down as well, what will that block of upcoming players do?

I haven't been there myself yet, but V10+ mobs reportedly have less punch than V6-10 mobs. From what I can tell, Craglorn seems to have been left at the slightly easier setting that was in effect before the 1.1.2 patch that made solo questing downright impossible, and the subsequent partial backpedaling that appears to have sent trash mob stats flying all over the place.

So the problem was the balance between challenge and reward. Simple solution: Provide a greater reward incentive. Unique cosmetic drops, pet drops, new motif drops, more unique set bonus drops with more interesting effects...

SO many options they could have gone for but instead...

    They just remove the challenge?

Veteran level balance was perfect for solo. About the only thing I wasn't facerolling already was world bosses and public dungeons, and I have solo'd 90% of those up to vet 7. Why should we have to play two more tiers of easy-mode content just because a vocal minority doesn't want to learn to block or roll dodge or play with more than 5 abilities?

What will the point of blocking or roll dodging even be?

I will reserve final judgement until I see how badly they lobotomize the game to cater to the people that seem to rather complain until someone gives them a milk bottle than suck down the mead and rise to the challenge, but I cannot help but sense the inevitable truth in this most recent concession by ZOS...

This may be the beginning of the dumbing down to WoW status of the Elder Scrolls genre. :(

Actually they have not stated WHAT they are going to do yet. That information isn't even being released until the Road ahead post on July 7th, like Jessica said in another thread.

Stop making assumptions before anything is even mentioned. You don't know *** about what they will be changing, and your talking out of your ass based on paranoia, not facts.

    This never happened.

Why not? I've done the same, so I know it's possible.

The same people that used to say "L2P or leave" are now threatening to leave?

    How utterly predictable.

While it is possible you may have soloed some of the one enemy only bosses, there is no way you soloed the vast majority of world bosses comprised of multiple enemies - and those are most of the world bosses. You may have soloed a couple of those multiple mob world bosses like Spider Nest in Stormhaven or Bitterpoint Strand in Malabal Tor; but you did not solo 90% or even 50% of them.

I can assure you I did, I have no proof to back this up of course, but I have no reason to lie here either.

My NB is only VR 7 and up to this point I was forced to take on most bosses solo simply because the lack of others around and I was confident in my resto/light armor nightmage build being able to handle most situations which I could swap to on the fly.

You're right, there were a few encounters I remember needing help with, which always consisted of multiple hard hitting bosses, but there were quite a few of those you could do solo by either splitting them up or simply soaking and out healing the damage. Veil of blades + syphoning skills + resto skills usually did the trick.

I agree. I left WoW because of that after 10 years . The power of the almighty dollar . They may as well just institute a looking for trials to do an easy mode version of trials that gives legendaries - dumb down the vet dungeons so that a group of basic gamers can faceroll it using their tongue and nose for controls. Also make it so world bosses and dolmens don't hit hard so they are soloable. And then have a collectible loot able currency to buy great sets that look cool that a 9 year old can do. Finally install inspect and dps meters technology so that this can become another wow clone.

Then we can all unsub and go to WoD with a free 90 (for those who sold accounts )
