Love it!

For myself and a few others I know, good outweighs the bad and always will because we dont subscribe to the negatives. Does nothing for anybody, waste of a resource, very sad...

[Moderator Note: Edited per our rules on Bashing & Slanderous Comments]

You wait all this time, spend time in beta maybe, put up with the spam shills, the bot shills. For what? To ring out cause of bugs that will get fixed? Please.

Heck, I been wishing for things to change in a certain area since launch but its ok if not done. Yeah I pay for a subscription just like everyone else, I play lots of games.

They have systems and things in place for ideas, feedback.

Use those resources, just be pro about it. Leave emotions out of it, no one cares if your crying or yelling or whatever, using little kid words will not make it go faster either.

Document it, if you can get coords do it, details is what a solution needs.

Stop letting this trash in your house, you are much better community, you took care of those bots, the shills? Remember them, all those reports, it worked right?

So, system works, just be patient... Have some respect, without those people behind the scenes your not going to be playing the game. Maybe not a good idea to mess with that...

Should probably start with, hey thanks for making a great game and I will do my best to be patient through this process because I know there a ton of things to be done and no hours left in the week to do them, yet somehow you manage a miracle to make it happen.

Not one of my complaints relates to bugs, crashes, fps drops, vet difficulty or log in issues....

As someone who enjoyed thousands of hours of elder scrolls games, this just does not offer the same level of freedom, exploration and intrigue as a normal TES game, I can honestly say I think I have spent more time in the sp games than I will in TESO.

My one and only gripe, nothing to do with peer pressure or other games.

I just don't understand why so many posts on negatives were on the forums these past couple of days.

I can understand that not everyone is going to be as understanding or impatient as the next person, but it just seemed a bit more vocal than usual. Especially considering some of the things have been fixed.

Either way, cant make everyone happy all the time...

Because some people like to attack anyone who is trying to make the game better.

So much negative posts trying to keep the game broken. I just don't get it.

people have a right to complain, as well as to congratulate. that being said...

I too am having a decent good time in eso, I really love my character and horse that I have worked on since day one. Love exploring and enjoy the quests and dialogue and the odd characters you meet in game. I really like the long slow build of my skills and abilities, and trying to figure out the best mix for the next mob/boss/challenge.

The longer the game goes the more I wish they just released it as a solo pc game as most of my personal problems have been with other players, (trying to group, arsehats in chat/pugs, pvp imbalances and cheating players etc.)

ive noticed alot of fixes and cant remember the last bot i have seen , heck even gold spammers in chat seem invisible. I do get the odd mails for gold tho.

so long as I avoid other players its a great game. the moment I have to group the annoyances start

I just don't understand why so many posts on negatives were on the forums these past couple of days.

Because the complainers scream loudest and have more time to scream because they aren't playing the game. Therefore when they get something valid to complain about (Cyrodiil FPS issue) they go all out.

When people see a forum full of complaining, and not just constructive feedback, but negative, mean spirited and down right insulting feedback, they can't help but post in disgust.

Then debates, or rather, arguments start in those threads. Someone will say they have a right to complain, how dare people be upset over it. Someone else will say there are ways to go about complaining, and neither side will actually listen to each other, they just have preconceived notions about the other group. Looking for parts of their posts to dwell on, weather it is relevant to the discussion or not. Always attempting to discredit each other, like it will help.

Basically, the drama keeps these threads at the top until a mod eventually sinks it. And it all starts over the next day/thread/bug.

I can see your point and that would explain things. Two sides, both right in regards to beliefs/concepts etc, a forum.

I dont mind debates myself, just so long as its constructive, seen too many things lose focus because of it, I am guilty of that myself, very easy to fall into that one...

Very true, time can do wonders!

In regards to the fps issue, I noticed last night in cyrodil, the fps started great.

Then over time it went lower and lower. A guildmate suggested a reboot of the client, which worked!

Not the fix we probably want but at least its going in the right direction I imagine..

I admit I'm guilty of it myself. I find these forums are actually helping me break the habit, I've had to suppress the urge to respond countless times, only because I know no good will come of the resulting debate. I pick my battles on here, time is money.

I seriously think this is it. Yes ESO has bugs, yes ZoS is working on them, yes it's slower than many would like. It's like some people get off on purposely making stuff up to shame the game or the company to their own end. I have no doubt that many of the severely negative threads come from people who just don't get the game as an MMO. ESO is not meant to be WoW2, Skyrim Online, or "insert traditional MMO here". It is it's own unique game and there's plenty of market for 'unique'. Look at Eve Online as an example, MOST people hate the game yet it's been going strong for over 11 years, which is longer than WoW even.

I love the game even with the issues because I see what it can become if ZoS keeps at it. It's a great concept that has the potential to be a fantastic game when it's all tidied up. But bottom line, you literally cannot please everyone, if there were zero bugs folks would find something else to complain about.

I agree OP. Thanks for showing me the way! I'm turning in my Capitalistic Radicalism that I have been inundated with by the corporate community, and changing it for a Buddhist mentality of tolerance and forgiveness! Hopefully Zenimax feels the same way if my visa gets maxed out for a month or too...

I agreed with what you said up to this point. I'm a classic Elder Scrolls fan (not MMO). Love this game, and one of the reasons is the upbeat, friendly, courteous interactions I've had with other players in the game. It's great when you find a random player(s) and you team up and go to town on the baddies. The critical skill is being able to type fast in the chat window!

I agree, playing with other players in TES is awesome! I remember a couple times when a guy swooped in and ninja'd a chest that I was clearing mobs around. And there were some good memories of groups breaking up for one or more players... (maybe me) sucking. There was this one crafter that took my Mats and disappeared, aaah classic.

But seriously, I think a TES game turned into an MMO is an incredible idea (Albeit there are a few kinks to work out) but the player community is ultra weak. I haven't seen such a collection of self focused players in my entire history of MMO's.

Not entirely sure whey they play like this on this game and not others. I leave that mystifying question to the phycologists/

It's off topic... But I agree. The only thing that has ever offended me is censorship. You can insult me or my beliefs. You can show me disgusting images and ideas. You can say the foulest things. I won't get offended. But the moment someone prevents someone else from doing these things, that's the moment my blood boils.

But I've lived in this wold long enough to learn to just deal with it :)

    @Soulhavester and all you guys

Thanks for starting this thread!

I was planning on doing something similar - mostly because I've been complaining my share too, and I'm pretty sure lots of ESO players are like me, complaining because we love the game. Personally, for something I don't care about, I don't even care about posting.

I love the graphics, the environments, the gameplay, the quests, the whole storyworld they built and wove so cleverly into the TES lore. Mostly what "bugged" me - and at times infuriates me - are the bugs that prevent me to play this game the way it was designed to be played.

And yeah, I'm over lvl 50 and my enthusiasm has been slightly cooled off by the VR quests' reroll but I'm nonetheless willing to give it a try. Frankly, I don't have the slightest clue who at Zenimax decided to design the VR leveling-up this way but for some reason I can't imagine a game designer wanting this, I suspect it is some "investor" or "suit" idea, thinking "we've invested a lot into building this storyworld, let's get some more ROI out of it!...". This whole "Cadwell quest" does not quite have the same solid logic in storytelling than everything else in ESO has. Never mind, Mr (or Ms) "Suit-Wanna-Be-Game-Designer", I'm gonna play it anyway, I'm gonna redo quests I've already done and let unbeatable bosses beat the hell out of my character and find my way around them - and next time I get to Cyrodiil, I hope to see more players, more action, more fun (uh... less bugs'd be great too).

Like many other TES fans I guess, I have a real concern: I wouldn't want to risk our open complaints about ESO put any future developments of other TES games, solo or MMO, in jeopardy. ESO may not be perfect yet, but I still want more TES, and more Bethesda - be sure of that!

Everyone encounters something that doesn't work right in the game at some point and should report it with appropriate details. Everyone has an opinion about what should be changed and how and they ought to speak up if it really matters to them. I simply avoid the rage threads and the open baiting/trolling efforts to restart the same tired arguments. That's why I am personally hoping for some kind of thread preview at some point :)

For those who are tired of the hyperbolic and angry posts, I continue to recommend creating and supporting (comment/rate positively) the kinds of threads you want to see. I really enjoyed the favorite NPC thread someone started (I went with the rather obscure Ofglog), and tried something similar with a "favorite Oops moment" thread. Some of my posts offering in-game tips, game design suggestions, or calls for thoughtful approaches to popular issues have gone over well and some have been duds, but there does seem to be a desire by many for something other than "blasting ZOS" and "rage-quit" threads.

Personally, I do enjoy the game and while I am disappointed with the animation/graphics/game slow-down issues that have arisen recently, I also realize that if the devs and bug hunters could put out a new patch right now that fixed it all, they would. I don't mind the Cadwell quests at all, but if the reports of some VR mobs ignoring most of your armor/spell resistance are true and this is not intentional, I look forward to that being fixed as well.

Now if only I could learn how to do better at PvP. I am great with siege (even when I'm on a keep wall with a bad field of vision I can "reach out with my feelings", target a spot with my meat wagon, and watch the damage ticks roll in) and with small group support in battle, but one on one or one versus two is still an automatic death sentence. :)
