FPS Cyrodiil Issues FIXED(Nvidia users)

Hello everyone,

I wouldn't put a bold statement like that as the title if I didn't have cold hard evidence to back it. While most posters have been blaming zenimax for fps issues I took upon myself to identify the problem myself. I found it strange that some people complained and some people said that their fps was fine, so after several hours I have found a solution to the problem. If you use NVIDIA this will most likely work for you. First I downloaded the latest patch, however it is still in beta its working great for me. Driver 340.43 for NVidia drivers(Beta) is the latest and it does specify to work with elder scrolls online. I also have been running the game in Window mode(Just for safe measure) because I read on several forums of IT guys saying NVidia wasn't using the video card to its max because it wasn't recognizing ESO running. So try it, tweak it and hopefully like me (560ti) you will be up in running in Wabbajack instead of Wabbalag.

Probably the reason it was never an issue for me. I always run the latest beta drives.

The latest beta drivers cause my machine to crash in windows 8.1 when I attempt to enable SLI. Just fyi

Well, your recommendation and findings are indeed useful.

However, I do want to caution general computer users about installing a beta driver.

    Its beta for good reasons.

That's because AMD problems are normal, so they aren't consider problems. Users are just used to bad performance in the AMD world lol

Understood. So people make note of that. However running Eso in window mode seems to let the card know that the game is running. In full screen I watch my gpu usage plummet. I know it sounds crazy but it is working great for me and I wanted to share.

Yea, I downloaded the beta driver before the patch and the graphics look amazing with my 560m and everything on high.

Yet I'm hitting 35-45 FPS in heavy Cyrodill battle, around 75-100 in dungeons- and 65-75 in open world.

More of a workaround than a fix. But kudos, will give it a try.

Also the beta driver specifically states that the profile is for SLi. So I am not sure that the driver is beneficial to those of us who do not run in SLi.

I have a 680 GTX and had no problems prior to patch. I will give it a go none the less.

Eww 35-45 FPS? If its less that 60, its a problem.

When they claimed PC Master Race, it was never with a AMD!

Or you could keep existing drivers and just add the eso.exe to the application list under the NVIDIA control panel>Manage 3d settings>Program Settings>Add

That's while you NVIDIA users are lagging in Cyrodill. Also I'm fairly certain my hard drive and CPU are my bottlenecks.

I'm always running the latest drivers but haven't tried Cyrodiil since 1.2.3, however, people say game run better for them in windowed, but last I tried (weeks ago) it was far worse for me, probably cause the textures are in 1920x1080 resolution then, like my screen but I use lower in fullscreen.

When you say game runs better in windowed, do you mean windowed windowed or windowed fullscreen?

Ah hahaha. I'm screwing with ya man. My frames are pretty good but I chose AMD because of the price to performance. I have nothing against Nvidia. I just found the card that was right for me, and it happens to be AMD

Oh, so now were bringing money into the equation? So AMD users think their cards are better simply because they are cheaper? LoL.
