if you turn off sun light, shadows and grass
Sounds great. Any chance of starting by linking to the relevant bit of Reddit?its kinda sad that a very similar discussion like this, is going on at Reddit. But unlike here, players are testing, rebooting after hotfix, testing tips and have now a lot less problems then yesterday.
Why cant we here, discuss and help to make our game better. Instead of bickering?
It might be here: http://www.reddit.com/r/elderscrollsonline/comments/29k004/for_those_having_delayfps_issues_in_pve_zones/
Worth noting that most people seemed to find it a temporary improvement only in reducing the delay before seeing things issue.
I just downloaded this hotfix.
I am still dropping to 4 fps in PvP combat.
I am still dying before I even see enemies on the screen.
I am hoping with all of my heart this wasn't the hotfix they were talking about to fix the FPS issue, because the game is still unplayable in Cyrodiil for me.
This tells me the devs are currently clueless about the source of the problem. I hope they figure it out soon, and learn from this for next content upgrade.
This tells me their QA process consists of methods we have never heard of before.

I've turned off everything that i can, and disabled all my add-ons just in case, my graphic settings are all on low and i still drop to 2-5 fps in Cyrodiil. I wish that this was a fix to the problem because the PvP is by far, for me anyway, the best part of the game.
It's not that though don't know how. It's just a massive game. A lot of entanglement. Probably some people got dropped when game launched and others who didn't know the entanglement well had to work with it. More time they spend with the game the more long term employees will understandRagnar_Lodbrok wrote: »

Besides, it's a game with badly balanced classes, badly balanced skills, badly balanced enemies, poor puzzles, dull, CC based VR combat that is pretty. Switching off pretty isn't necessarily going to help much.
Or of course it could be that they noticed that reducing the graphics settings didn't fix the problem.

What you need to do is go into the major town in your zone, find a nice big church or guild hall that has cool windows. Now go inside and check out the new lighting effects and st*u.
oh did i mention that from the 3million sold versions only less than 100k are still actively playing?

They have plenty of competent people working for them. You show your incompetence by making statements like that.

Yeah Ragnar! They show immense creativity when it comes to fixing the game!HelpingHand wrote: »Ragnar_Lodbrok wrote: »As usual the patch did jack. Do you actually have anyone competent working there?

Patch 1.2.3 introduced new lighting system, new VR dungeon and new loot table. Then FPS began to drop. It's completely logical and a creative way to tweak the skills in order to fix the FPS.
Nobody understands that, it's only because they are not at the level of competency yet.
As what Gina said about the new trash loot in containers, "you don't have to pick it up"
Since the lighting and FPS problem is one of the patch content as well, one could only assume that the theory applying to the new trash loot would apply to the FPS as well.
"You don't have to play the game."
Great job ZOS! Let's keep fixing the game and patching it until it's beyond repair!
