We have been responding. The most we can offer as an answer right now is that we're continuing to work on fixing the FPS drop issue. As soon as we're able to provide a concrete date for a full resolution, we will.

I don't know how many players WERE affected, nor do you, incase you think you do, because the ONLY evidence was one player saying he had poor FPS. That is the evidence to the contrary in this thread. One player said he had low FPS. That is what I responded to. You don't make a judgement based on one player.
I have no idea what Monday has to do with this.
You are simply attacking anyone who doesn't jump on your bandwagon of bashing the devs.
This tells me the devs are currently clueless about the source of the problem. I hope they figure it out soon, and learn from this for next content upgrade.

Pretty sure your QA did a very good job! Tell them to keep up the good work!ZOS_JessicaFolsom wrote: »

I really wish I did not buy 6 months time right off the bat, but in my defense the first few day it seemed like they were really just start up bugs, they will fix them. Today I really think they are making more than fixing.
Since launch, I was in 3 guilds with average 300 players each. All were shut down when the actives were only 11-13 players at prime time. Moved on to new guilds, trading guild with 380 players, active enchanting guild with 499 players and constant kick within 3 days of inactivity, PVP guild with 220 players, all dwindle down to less than 20 in prime time as of Craglorn, we decided to move on and venture our own, bump into some active players, and now I'm with 100 player trading guild that has only 5 actives, 13 player once active friend guild that is left with only me and another, 2 awesome guilds with 1 month kick system that could only maintain at 200 max no matter how many they recruit, PVP guild with 90 players 30 prime time of which most have unsubbed waiting for fixes.MichaelShimmel wrote: »Funny how at Launch My main guild had 224 people in it. a few got trimmed for one reason or another after 1 week we were at 190 today we have 7 active subs, 2 of those are only still active because we fronted 6months.

Well, we had ~350 active players in our RvR-alliance at any given time (except night-morning) at release. Now 33 at prime-time only and half of them decided not to renew their sub. Plethora of bugs, lacking end-game and kinda unplayable Cyrodiil... can't see anything worth paying for in TESO atm.
I just downloaded this hotfix.
I am still dropping to 4 fps in PvP combat.
I am still dying before I even see enemies on the screen.
I am hoping with all of my heart this wasn't the hotfix they were talking about to fix the FPS issue, because the game is still unplayable in Cyrodiil for me.
This tells me the devs are currently clueless about the source of the problem. I hope they figure it out soon, and learn from this for next content upgrade.
The fact that you think the fact that FPS is down for one person in Cyrodiil means the devs are clueless leads me to believe that you are clueless about pretty much anything concerning software development, networking, and game development.
IT is not for everyone and it's NOT fashionable to bash the devs, whichever fits best.
OT, I was also surprised by this patch. My guess is they caught an exploit and are fixing it

We've identified what's causing this, and are working on a hotfix now that we'll get out as soon as we can. We'll let you know as soon as it's been rolled out. Thanks for your patience while we hammered on this one, we know it's been frustrating.
Your really really really sure you identified really the real issue this time? ^^

it aint so pretty, but you can at least play and get your kill on, untill it's fixed.
Ya'll are approaching this totally wrong. You're focussing on that small little thing just a handful of people care about - PvP.
What you need to do is go into the major town in your zone, find a nice big church or guild hall that has cool windows. Now go inside and check out the new lighting effects and[snip]

ZOS_JessicaFolsom wrote: »Hi folks,
We just finished pushing a hotfix for the FPS issue. We've done as much as we can in a hotfix to alleviate the issue. The impact will vary—you may see noticeable improvements or marginal ones. This is by no means a final or complete fix to the issue, but we felt it important to do what we could in the short term now.
We’re continuing to work on performance improvements that we’ll roll out in upcoming patches. We’ll keep you updated as we make more progress, and we thank you for your patience.
Sounds great. Any chance of starting by linking to the relevant bit of Reddit?its kinda sad that a very similar discussion like this, is going on at Reddit. But unlike here, players are testing, rebooting after hotfix, testing tips and have now a lot less problems then yesterday.
Why cant we here, discuss and help to make our game better. Instead of bickering?
