Seriously - many of you could have fixed the issue in the time you've taken complaining here.

if only there is a magically way for all players to somehow gain that knowledge you find so helpful!

We call that learning to read and having the patience to do it. Sadly people are impatient and don't take the time to read things before they start spouting and going off the deep end and lashing out at the closest possible target.

All of this process with patches and hotfixes make me think of the work done with Warhammer Online and we known where is this game now...

Remember, it's not 1.2.3+, this issue dates back to the Craglorn patch. The whole time, since then, people have been campaigning for a fix to PVP lag. Wabbalag didn't get it's name for nothing.

The latest patch has simply exposed the flaws and bugs even more. There are a range of critical bugs in the code that go back to 1.1.

I was seeing FPS drops after 1.1 that I did not get prior. This is not new. It's just vastly worse. ZOS knew all this and released 1.2.3 untested anyway. The result is not surprising. Their lack of professionalism is. It must be a horrible place to work. Clearly some kind of management ego problem is at play here. You don't get something this dysfunctional in an industry-standard process.

Heads need to roll and, I'm guessing, it's not the code-monkeys that need to go.

Then you'll be so kind as to point out the solution instead of lashing out at the people lashing out hmm? Why not be helpful if you have this magical solution to everyone's problem?

I ran the game on medium settings and turned off all the "pretties". It ran at 60 fps in Tamriel (good for my old pc lol) and 22-29 fps in Cyrodiil the entire time... including multiple sieges. This will work for me until they have a permanent fix

You mean to use google, ask friends and try something themselves?

Not sure there is an addon made for that. Good suggestion though.

I don't PvP(people scare me. So does lag), but my PvE has been randomly extremely laggy lately. Not to the point of unplayable most of the time - I ran a public yesterday fine(tho I'd probably die slightly less if all the things loaded in time), but still. Invisible enemies are an incredible joy. Anchors drop down to a slideshow pretty much, then you just have to guess which mob it is by their aoe(because invisibility. Nerf invisible mobs, I say!) and use aoe of your own, praying it actually hits them. I tried getting my settings down but didn't notice any improvement at all, so if I have to lag, guess I'll rather do so on pretty settings.

No improvement after hotifx for me. Notifications are back though, that's something at least. I haven't tried tweaking much myself, just farming herbs now:) If it's not fixed by the time server's up again and I finish my farming, guess I'll see if some of those magic tweaks people are praising will work for me.

I don't want to add more negativity(aw shucks, I know I do anyway), but it is rather sad we should find tweaks for a game that worked just fine before the patch. Game we pay to play, too.

Well, there is no solution for me, even if i look years for it, since the Game just forget there is a GPU.
