Their QA lead got fired. They are hiring a new one. How soon before most of their people are looking for work?

Not too long. Suits must be really mad at this point I know 65% of my friends have unsubbed - still hoping to resub once they fix it - but a huge drop in revenue has repercussions. Un sub till they fix it - it will get the fastest response.

I am certain that some suit saw the projection for subscriptions for this month and said: "WTF just happened to all the people who just bought our game?!?!?!?!"

Ya'll are approaching this totally wrong. You're focussing on that small little thing just a handful of people care about - PvP.

cool. i have done that. that entertained me for even 10-15 seconds.
even made me go to another building and take another 10 seconds content enjoyment time.

then i was bored and wanted to play some endgame content.
oh wait - only endgame content is cyrodiil. damn.. so log off again and good night.

ps: its probably even a proven tact, that there is only a handful people playing pvp. but smart people would maybe come to the conclusion that there is a cohesion between performance problems and pvp population.

oh did i mention that from the 3million sold versions only less than 100k are still actively playing?

a smart person just said "Now go (...) and st*u."

    Hi folks,

We just finished pushing a hotfix for the FPS issue. We've done as much as we can in a hotfix to alleviate the issue. The impact will vary—you may see noticeable improvements or marginal ones. This is by no means a final or complete fix to the issue, but we felt it important to do what we could in the short term now.

We’re continuing to work on performance improvements that we’ll roll out in upcoming patches. We’ll keep you updated as we make more progress, and we thank you for your patience.

Good job on covering up the fact that the team assigned was incompetent and totally slacked off for 8 days. Bet if you press the team for more details, they could not give you because they have absolutely no clue about the root of problem.

Can't blame them, they just came back from Hawaii after all.

If this is important, it would have been solved days ago. They were given one week to reverse the FPS drop caused by 1.2.3. One week isn't exactly a short term.

Then you want to fix it in multiple patches ahead? Assuming 2 patches, that makes another good 2 weeks. Then you'll have to push new content that is bound to break something else again.

Are they too bored at work? That's why they keep breaking things so they could fix it again?
People keep telling me they're gonna buy me an ale. They never do.

There are only two things I can't stand in this world. People who are intolerant of other people's culture. And the Elves.

I am still dropping to 4 fps in PvP combat.

I am still dying before I even see enemies on the screen.

I am hoping with all of my heart this wasn't the hotfix they were talking about to fix the FPS issue, because the game is still unplayable in Cyrodiil for me.

There is on forums and redit some userini reset or something recommanded.. supposedly works for some.

The fact that you think the fact that FPS is down for one person in Cyrodiil means the devs are clueless leads me to believe that you are clueless about pretty much anything concerning software development, networking, and game development.

IT is not for everyone and it's NOT fashionable to bash the devs, whichever fits best.

OT, I was also surprised by this patch. My guess is they caught an exploit and are fixing it.

Because it's only down for one person, right? despite the evidence to the contrary. it's not like they said wait until monday for a fix that didn't work, right? great job trying to talk down to him, you're on a roll.

I don't know how many players WERE affected, nor do you, incase you think you do, because the ONLY evidence was one player saying he had poor FPS. That is the evidence to the contrary in this thread. One player said he had low FPS. That is what I responded to. You don't make a judgement based on one player.

I have no idea what Monday has to do with this.

You are simply attacking anyone who doesn't jump on your bandwagon of bashing the devs.

Fantastic!!!! I was just in Cyro. in a group of 14, attacking a fort and ALL could play! It still is lower fps but now I can pvp in groups!

    Awesome!!!!

    Keep push em out!

Note: Someone suggested to me to lower my "shadow" settings. I had them on Ultra. Got em on medium now. no difference in graphics...but my FPS JUMPED up to 55! from 30!

its kinda sad that a very similar discussion like this, is going on at Reddit. But unlike here, players are testing, rebooting after hotfix, testing tips and have now a lot less problems then yesterday.

Why cant we here, discuss and help to make our game better. Instead of bickering?

Some players may still have problems. And some gets improved. Can be a number of reasons.

I think someone is in love with me, cause every post I make, takes 2 seconds and there is a lol. Kinda cute. =) Just wish I know who this stalker was.

FYI. PvP is not actually a part of the TES franchise. I would honestly rather see them fix "THE GAME" first before they start worrying about "PVP".

Well since Bethesda Studio owns the TES franchise, I have a feeling that before long the Big brother studio will step into ZOS office and go...

"Cough, Cough, Hmm Hmmm, Um, Mr ZOS, we would like to speak with you about your current performance and the task we set you on, You assured us that the Online Version would keep the Elder Scrolls Spirit intact, as well as Satisfy our fan base.

Yet what we see are the fans leaving, and even the larger gameing review companies stating the game is Not a true TES game, Your mechanics, Forcing people into classes, and destroying the faith in our titles has to end.

This being the case Bethesda Studios will be taking over development of TESO, we appreciate your time and effort in this project, but unfortunately we can not let you ruin a franchise which we've spent the last 15 years building in a 6 month period."

I mean come on, they have to, beyond Elder Scrolls, the only other game Bethesda makes any real money off of is Fallout. And if ESO bombs, then No one will bother with the Online Fallout Game in the next few years.

Bethesda Needs to step in NOW, and get this *** fixed before the damage is irreparable.

Well, you'll be happy to know that if anything - you made it worse. Not better. Not fixed - not even marginally better.

What's the time frame on a patch to actually fix it?

OR are you ready to state the obvious and say that 1.2.3/4 is a failed update to the game and you will be rolling us back to 1.2.2 so we can all play and enjoy the game again?

Seriously - your people are losing their jobs and still no one is getting this right.

Soon, you will all be looking for jobs.

Um, there are a lot of tips if its not working for you. Loads of people are getting better performance and finally Cyro is playable.

I can give you tips if you like, but since so many, even at 3 am in EU are online all say the same things. The hot fixes works. With different tips to your own system and settings.

We have been responding. The most we can offer as an answer right now is that we're continuing to work on fixing the FPS drop issue. As soon as we're able to provide a concrete date for a full resolution, we will.

Funny how at Launch My main guild had 224 people in it. a few got trimmed for one reason or another after 1 week we were at 190 today we have 7 active subs, 2 of those are only still active because we fronted 6months.
I really wish I did not buy 6 months time right off the bat, but in my defense the first few day it seemed like they were really just start up bugs, they will fix them. Today I really think they are making more than fixing.

I appreciate that you - the customer service rep - has very little concrete information at this point.

However, after 1.2.3 was released the game got to a point which most of us cannot stand to play. Well, those of us who PvP anyway - but I see many complaints from the PvE crowd as well about mobs not being seen etc. When I was in IT services it was not uncommon to give a software update X amount of time before we would roll back to a previous version of a known working product so that we could maintain a high level of service.

At what point will your organization do this Jessica? Realistically it is such an easy fix that I don't understand why you won't do it. 8 days is far longer than we ever tolerated a sub par product.

The only reasonable explanations would be: A) Someone does not want to admit failure. B) You do not have a suitable means to back rev the system.

I am speaking to you with respect - but I have to tell you I have lost most of it for your company.
